    Super Carne Asada Burrito
    Passmore M.

I was originally on my way to Sol Food, when El Burrito Jalisciense caught my eye. Sol Food has a lot hype but I always like to try lesser known restaurants like this whenever I can get a chance. When I walked in, the cashier immediately greeted me and I was excited by the variety in the menu! The cashier gave me her recommendations and I decided to go with the super carne asada burrito. I love that they have an option. to get either refried or black beans as well! I went with the black beans and I was very happy with my decision! The burrito was delicious and one of the best ones i've had since moving to California 2 months ago! The next time I am in san rafael, I will be returning as this place was just delicious.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would !!! Under new owners by the way! I came all the way from Hayward! This is my second weekend coming! I don't mind the drive when it comes to some good ass food. Super friendly staff, food came on time to my table and you can tell everything is fresh. I also had to steal a couple of my boyfriends nachos I can say my fav Mexican restaurant by far. I ordered menudo, my boyfriend nachos de al pastor and one of the kids got nachos and the other menudo as well. Hand made tortilla, and they hooked it up with the carne. Had to order torta de milanesa for to go too good food, good people and extremely nice welcoming environment!

This place was such a fun surprise. The location is really accessible, with street parking…read moreavailable, which made getting there easy. I honestly didn't realize how much I'd enjoy playing pinball until coming here--there aren't many spots that have that kind of unique feature anymore, and it really added to the experience. I went for a Yelp Elite event, and it was great. The owner was there and super welcoming, and his staff were genuinely nice and attentive. We were given bracelets that gave us access to two drinks, which was a fun self-pour experience. That said, it would've been helpful to get a quick tip on pouring (like tilting your glass) beforehand--foam can sneak up on you fast , especially with so many people around. Because it was busy, we were also given a card that allowed unlimited access to the games, which was awesome and made the night even better. I definitely enjoyed my time here. The owner also mentioned that you can rent individual tables or even the whole venue for events, which is something I'd absolutely consider in the future. I'll definitely be back.

They had huge tvs playing sports which entertained the kiddo quite a bit. Breakfast Bravas ($19): The crispy potato coins + pork + runny egg + avocado + chipotle cream = elite combo!!! Stateroom Burger ($20): Cheese is not included and is an extra $2 (???). It was stacked though and hubby could only eat half before he was stuffed! I will absolutely be back for the bottomless mimosas ($25) and I'm curious about the dirty iced chi tea ($14). My daughter also loved all the magnets on the fence in their mini play area :)

Embarrassingly for Marin, only two restaurants made the list--including Lou's. It definitely lives up to its reputation. First, yes, it takes calling often! I called on a Thursday and it literally took calling over 50 times to get past the busy signal. Once I got through, ordering was really easy. I was even able to pick my pickup time. If you can't get through, don't despair. At 6:15 when I picked up my order, people were still able to walk up and order, although only a few entree choices were left. Everything we had was just so flavorful. The fried chicken was the favorite, rhen the beef birria. But the fried shrimp (which was pretty spicy!) and herby roast chicken was also delicious.

The place is mostly take out, although there is a small out door first come seating area. Service is exceptional and the food is incredible. Never had a bad meal here. In fact everytime I order I am amazed at the quality of the produce, ingredients and flavors. The chef has an amazing ability to satisfy even the toughest food critic in your family.
