Kevin came out and we did a preliminary drawing of the first option. After getting pricing from the contractor on moving a wall, I decided against that design. I drew out another option and Kevin came back out to finalize measurements with the second design. I am a visual person, so I had the major room changes taped out on the floor with painters tape. Kevin sent me the drawings via email and I approved the drawings. I hired a separate company to do the countertops and they were very willing to work with Kevin on the design collaboration necessary to make my dream a reality. A couple weeks in, I called Kevin to add depth to the island to accommodate a downdraft vent rather than having a hood suspended from the ceiling, and sent him the specifications for the downdraft. He also had specifications for the sink and appliances, although I planned on using the appliances I already had installed in my old kitchen. When the cabinets were installed, I was ecstatic. This was the culmination of 10 years of dreaming and planning. However, for some reason, he hadn't measured the appliances and built the cabinet for a 30" oven rather than the 27" I had. The same was true for the sink cabinet. He added a patch and touch up paint and said this was normal. The additional 3" he added to the island wasn't sufficient for the downdraft vent, and as a result he had to shorten the island drawers to allow it to fit. There was another fiasco with the pantry cabinet, but I was satisfied with his solution for fixing this. He apparently also hadn't measured the dimensions of the kitchen bench I had taped out on the floor, and made it considerably smaller than I had anticipated. I take full responsibility for this, however, as I didn't double-check the dimensions on my floor with what he had on the drawing. When I became upset about the lack of measurements, he was offended by my questioning of his abilities. He said these were my problem, that I was getting upset over nothing and subsequently quit working with me. Although I paid him in full, they never did come back to put the trim on. One of the lazy susan cabinets broke, and when I called Richard he said it was an easy fix and I could do it myself. If you choose to use them, be sure to double check ALL the dimensions on the drawings, and do not question their work or show any distress. They don't deal well with that and have no interest in customer service. Or for goodness sake, don't pay them in full if you aren't completely happy. You will never hear from them again.

I'm doing a kitchen remodel and we decided to do hardwood flooring matching the kitchen floors to the living room. The living room had carpet and after we removed the kitchen cabinets, there were no flooring underneath it. We already had purchased most flooring materials. Alejandro Jr and senior came to checkout the living room and gave me a price quote. It was very reasonable, and he explained that they are a pretty new company. From then on I communicated with Jr via text. He didn't checkout what flooring and materials we already had, so I sent him pictures. He responded by saying that I need 5 more boxes of flooring and 4 end caps. Which I ordered and was delivered the following week. Sr and his crew came at the set time and day and went right to work. They did a beautiful job. Most can't speak English that well, so it was hard to communicate during some questions. Jr also came back to take the old carpet and trash away; and to collect payment. It took them only one day which I'm very happy about. Though this review doesn't come without some setbacks/criticism: The transition piece from the laundry room to the flooring is missing a T-cap. When I told him, he said "I told you when we were here". I'm not sure if he did or didn't, but I do have all the texts between us, and I clearly asked what else/more materials I needed and he responded. I even double asked and checked on the materials (and price of the job) before I ordered them. He never mentions T-caps, only the boxes of flooring and the 4 end caps. Also, they ended up not needing the 4 end caps. So I have extra material without a 100% completed floor. That's why I have everything in writing (texts), he or I can go back and forth on what was verbal or not. A review like this would usually get 2 or 3 stars. I'm giving him a 4, only because they do good work, at a great price. If he had asked for better pictures, or asked to visually see what I have when he came to our house to give me an estimate, everything would be all good.

Their professionalism and quality of work were excellent. David was very patient and willing to adjust to every change along the way. We really appreciated the ability to change course and improve along the way. The end result is truly spectacular. His son David Jr is a pleasure to deal with and does excellent work. This is a flooring installation contractor, Steven Reinhold…read more I contacted Steven via Wood Brothers in Sacramento and they recommended his installation services for the carpet I needed to have replaced. Steven was very responsive to all phone calls and when he made an appointment to arrive, he was there ON TIME. The installation job was FIRST CLASS! He and his helper removed the carpeting and padding quickly and cleaned/prepped the area. Replaced any tack strips that were in dis-repair and also replaced the transition molding between flat floor and the carpeted area. The whole job (52 sq yds) took about 5 hours from start to finish. If Steven had a question during the job, he stopped what he was doing to make sure he had an answer before continuing.
