The people are so so sweet here. Their breakfast is fantastic and pancakes are huge! Average breakfast place coffee.

The wife and I are on vacation and this has been our go to morning spot. The staff is very polite and attentive. The inside is very clean and not too loud. The food is delicious and fresh offered at very reasonable prices. Their pancakes are my favorite they have a slight crisp which gives it an amazing texture and flavor. The food was okay, but I thought the portions were too small compared to the price. I had the veggie omelette, the veggies were fresh but my omelette was a little undercooked. My partner had the pancakes which they said were just okay, the batter they used was a little too sweet for their liking. Very Disappointed Food is good, but service was horrible. We chose to sit outside because of COVID and it was like they forgot about us. After waiting for 30 minutes I walked in to see the food on the counter. They said they'd bring it right out. we waited another 5 minutes, needless to say the food was cold when we received it. We had to go back in to ask for silverware and what was given to us was covered in food. I asked for a second set and they were also covered in food. I came here to grab a quick breakfast before I went fishing at Sunglow Pier. Since I was on vacation I wanted to try something different. I first walked into 7 eleven, but then slid out to try a local/nonchain (no disrespect to 7 eleven). I stumbled upon The High Tide Kitchen. For the same $5 I would have spent at the gas station I got a really good cup of coffee and a fresh asiago bagel. Now, you may be thinking this guy gave 5 stars for a bagel and coffee. The reason I did was the freshness of the coffee and bagel and the amazing, welcoming staff. I young lady that served me was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Formerly the New York Bagel Cafe, this little restaurant is a gem that few know about. I found it one morning looking for a good breakfast place. The outside is deceiving because it's hard to tell what it really is. The inside, though, is warm and inviting. Better still, the staff (apparently all family) is warm and genuine. The food, while not cheap, is worth the time and money and you can watch it being cooked, a level of transparency that is refreshing. This is the only place in DBS that can cook over medium eggs perfectly, after years of trying others, I found my new favorite. The home fries are not mushy and the bagels remind me of quality new york style. This place is a 5 for food, cleanliness (even the bathrooms), service and staff. So this is a long overdue review. I absolutely love this place, the food, ambiance, staff and owners. I go probably 3 times a week and get breakfast for myself and coworkers and when I say you feel like family there, I'm not kidding. The food will come out cold they're over priced for the small portions they serve cold.. the service is garbage all the tables were dirty including the ones outside for a $50 order they forgot more than 35% of our order.. then when they made our food they gave it away or "misplaced it" Some of the servers don't even have all their teeth like cmon man at least have all your teeth if your going to be in my face as close as they are. Review solely based on service rather their lack of service to the customer. Obviously they were busy this Sunday morning and seating is limited. Waited for about 15 minutes in a line at which time not one of their employees explained wait times for seating nor did they take our names nothing. My husband and I decided we would order to go instead of waiting who knows how long to be seated. As we go up to the counter to place our to go order, the employee states it would be another 40 minute wait, approximately, to receive the food because they go as they receive orders. Unacceptable. I liked that they serve fruit, but was told I could get instead of grits or potatoes. Imagine my surprise when I was billed for it. The omelette was pretty typical. And the ice tea was awful! How hard is that? For $3, it should be brewed, not taste like it's from powder. Yuck. Otherwise, great location. If anyone would have asked, I would have offered a few hints to make it a more enjoyable place. The competition up and down the street is fierce, so you really need to up your game if you plan to charge the same or more than everyone else. read more

Every single dish we ordered was delicious. Everything was cooked to order. Very fresh. Between everyone in our group we had a taste of lunch and breakfast. The French toast was perfect a little crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. The flavor was so good it hardly needed syrup. I wish I had taken a picture of everything. Plenty of food for the money. It doesn't look like much when you first drive up, but inside was very clean and the interior was nice and comfortable. Definitely worth a visit. read more

Personally I am not sure why a previous reviewer said they'd give it 5 stars if the menu was more extensive. They have just about everything you could want (and then some) as far as breakfasts go? Bagel was amazing! I had lox and it was perfect! The o lay thing I'd have changed is make it open faced- some people may have an issue (myself included) with opening their mouth so wide lol.. but excellent anyway ;) read more
