BEWARE: our bartender put an automatic 19% gratuity on the multiple tabs we had in our group and didn't bother to tell us because he quoted us verbally the price to pay and then was silent when we proceeded to tip him another 15%-20%. Came here for happy hour at around 3pm. Food options: sesame wings ($1 each, minimum 5), fish tacos ($3 each, minimum 3), and crispy yucca fries ($4). A friend and I spit 1 order of each thing (5 wings, 3 tacos, and an order of yucca fries). It was actually really delicious and a decent amount to fill us up until dinner. The bar is at the back of the Surfcomber hotel (by the boardwalk) behind the pool. Quite a nice location. The bartender (solo) was very overwhelmed and had to get help from other staff from the inside restaurant. I have to say, our server (who had just run outside to helpout for a bit) was great & I was impressed that despite them appearing quite short staffed, we received good service. For drinks - my friend doesn't drink so she got a fruit smoothie (they claim to have mango, pineapple, & strawberry but only had strawberry at the time). I tried some and we both agreed it was delicious and lived up to the proclamation that it was made with real fruit. Super good. Happy hour is $6 drinks from a selection of items. I had a margarita. This is where I knocked off a star - it tasted like it was made from a premix (although a decent one) but still a little on the sugary side for me. I wanted another one but asked to have it blended (to tone down the pre-mix taste) - they wouldn't blend as part of happy hour & the price would have been $15.00. After riding bikes up and down the strip, this open-to-the-public cabana bar saved us with their icy cold water and frozen drinks! You definitely pay for convenience and delicious but it's worth it, we're on vaycay. Spritz on the Beach is a must try and with its light, fruity, and refreshing notes, you won't feel guilty after downing the upgraded 20 oz. If I knew how good it was I would have ordered that instead of a Miami Vice. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious and frozen and hit the spot after the Miami sun. But that Spritz!!!! Honestly this place was one of the highlights of my friends and my trip to Miami Beach. My friends and I spent a long day at the beach and on our way back to our hotel, stumbled upon High Tide's chalkboard advertising their Happy Hour drinks and food. It had the lowest prices we had seen in Miami, so we decided to give it a shot. There were plenty of seats available once we entered. We decided to sit outside because the weather was nice. There were umbrellas at the tables which also kept us cool in the hot sun. We were greeted by Leo who introduced himself as our server. We ordered the amazing $6 drinks and each of us ordered $5 worth of the sesame wings by recommendation of Leo. The wings were SO. GOOD. and the drinks were also delicious. They tasted strong, but not overwhelming. Leo stopped by multiple times to check in on us and to make sure we were good on drinks. He also made sure to let us know that if we needed anything, we could call on Mike, the other server working the floor that day. There were some other people that checked in on us and brought out food, but not sure of their names. Everyone that stopped by our table did so with a smile and an enthusiastic "enjoy!" The best happy hour on south beach! For some reason I thought this was free standing restaurant but it's actually a food hut at one of the local hotels. You actually have to walk thru the pool area if you enter from Collins ave. Otherwise you can enter from the beach area road. They don't have a lot to offer on the happy hour menu but the few things they offer are amazing! The $1/wing mango habanero sauce is everything and the $6 drinks well combine those two, and it's exactly what they say a HAPPY HOUR. The staff was really nice and the bartender doesn't skimp on the liquor. I would suggest if you are in the area check it out. read more

we came here for a quick bite by the beach. we were seated within 10 minutes, however after ordering, it took over an hour and multiple inquiries before we got our food and our order was wrong and missing an entree. our waiter dayle was extremely dismissive, uninterested and avoidant. finally, after speaking with a manager, we received our food and were comped with a round of drinks. the manager's service was on point, however, after asking for the check twice, we waited about 20 minutes for it to arrive and it included charges for food we did not receive and a 20% service charge. dayle insisted the food charge was correct and initially refused to remove the item. once the bill was finally rectified, my friends and i chose not to dispute the 20% service charge that was clearly not deserved, as we had already spent over 2 hours, having an extremely poor experience at high tide. the food and ambience were okay but not worth the unpleasant service and overall experience. it felt like such a waste of time when we had other plans. read more
