Paul from Norblom assessed the situation and came up with a more cost affordable and easier to maintain solution for us to close up the broken pipe in the hard to reach location and run new pipe (up to code) to the side of the house. During his inspection he also found an issue with our dryer vent not being properly hooked up which is not something we would have noticed on our own. He was right on time in his time window, was very friendly, took the time to explain things to me, and most importantly was in and out in a few hours. He also insisted on replacing the toilet valve which had always worked before. He stayed quite a while making sure the leak was gone. Overall he did a fine job but it was very expensive (nearly $500) for what amounted to a wax seal and valve. He did leave wax ring crumbs on the floor for me to clean. He charged a trip charge of $60 which was not in his quote and this added to the sticker shock. I would be happy to hire Isaac again but I just can't afford the cost.

I met one of the plumbers as he came to bid on our kitchen remodel. He plumbed the house originally. I saw the company sticker on our hot water heater and gave them a call. They replaced our sump pump and added a generator, not any more than what we needed. We had a leak in our tub and the owner's son was down the street and came over, took care of it. Then we had some mystery water sound that two of their folks came to figure out. They have been really there for us, fairly priced and kind. They don't open clogged drains, but for everything else, I would give them a call. (Just not on the weekend!)

Metro had originally stated that they could come out on Friday. I didn't want to wait that long, so I got on their list to see if they'd make it out on Thursday. I was contacted a short time later that someone would be out between noon and 4. Relieved, I got back to work. It was close to 3 when the nice young man arrived. I let him in and ge went right to work. Less than 30 minutes later, he'd cleaned out and tightened everything that caused the issue. The cost was $120. This was a quick,inexpensive repair with very friendly service. I've already given their name to a friend who's having plumbing issues at his home. Thanks Metro! It took them two more days to get the estimate to me and it did not arrive when they said it would. When they got it to it to me, it was too late and they did not give me the estimate in the way that I asked for it. Communicate with the company was not acceptable, I could not get ahold of the person I needed to talk to, they would not let me email with them.
