Switching to Higher Ground had been a good decision because their staff are very responsive and offer good customer service. They listen to and are attentive to the needs of the customers they serve. If you can avoid this company, do so at all costs! The worst experience I ever had. They were in charge of the condo I lived in. Took the HOA money, and increased it once, and will increase it again in January, but didn't fix or maintain anything. We ended up with a huge special assessment ($5million worth), and we were told the repairs would start in August, but it's November and nothing has been done. We had to have mold remediation done in my unit, because rain damage from the roof, destroyed my upstairs neighbor's room, which trickled down into our master room. I had to get my insurance company to come fix it, even though it was the HOA's responsibility. My upstairs neighbor tried to go through the HOA, and his master room is still wet and has huge cracks and water damage in his room still (last I talked to him was in October 26, 2024). They along with the board members sent a lot of misinformation to the tenants. Anytime I asked them to clarify, or showed them proof (from recorded meetings that they shared with us, to documents they sent us, to things the lawyer said) they would stop responding. The worst experience was having to work with David Reynaga, who was the point of contact for our building. He was almost never in the office, or he would almost never really answer any of our questions. read more

We were having non-responsive issues with our previous HOA where I was paying fines that belonged to my neighbor. I sent numerous emails with pictures and no one ever responded. Luckily our HOA switched companies and since have been working with Yesica whose response times are quick and efficient! She always responds in a timely manner and handles things with respect and courtesy. read more

Higher Ground has repeatedly ignored are needs, requested signatures of documents that are false, made countless budget mistakes represents they have a real estate license but is without a broker, repeatedly states they are going to quit, but does not quit, but, most of all charges us for services not needed. read more

Worst management company. We had flood in our house, we open the claim, HOA got money from the HOA insurance, and they told us that board deny our claim, they keep money and close my claim. Hello! I live in Encino villages we have a new Managment which is Higher ground property management and our manager Jessica is on top of things she gets back to you even if it's after hours she makes sure that the job gets done. I had a situation where I had a leak and it didn't get fixed and the minute that she found out she's been on top of it. Made sure it wouldn't get worse due to the rain and prevented it from getting worse from the new rain.. The last manager guy told me no one able to put tarp up right after the rain just basically blowing me off and she is being so helpful and so kind. I'm so lucky to have her as a property manager. She seems to care and value her job. Connecting with the neighbors which can get difficult. She doesn't yell, even when I yelled about the roof she has a naturally calming effect so she calmed me down and reassured me it would be done. Wish we had her from the start but glad to have her now. The company doesn't just say call your insurance when it was a roof problem. They know it's for them to fix and not giving me the runaround was great. read more

Definitely choose another management company. We've had so so so many of the craziest issues with this company over the years.
