This place has been one of the best coffee experiences we have had outside of the Northwest. An "oasis in the desert". Had breakfast here some excellent and really well thought out choices. Just passing through from out of state but when we come back to this part of the country we will be stopping here again. Had the strawberry and cream oatmeal - loved that they are over night oats in Greek yogurt, the tang and the strawberries together are excellent My partner had the inlet in a cup and it was fresh and delicious.

For a perfect night out! We went with our friends to this lovely homey shop! Their coffee was soo good. Our friends loved their hot chocolate, and the nutty Irish man and especially the chocolate chip cookie. The live band was amazing as well that night. The employee are very kind and sweet and patient. The person who I believe was the owner would go to each table and thank them for visiting their shop and to have a merry Christmas. Such a lovely and friendly local shop in Midland.

Upon arrival the establishment is clean and the walls are covered with beautiful artwork from local artists. A truly inviting place. I came in for brunch but all breakfast stops at 11am. I ordered the mango chicken sandwich on a croissant. The broccoli cauliflower side dish is amazing. The staff is friendly and it's a must try if you are in Midland. read more

New coffee shop on Andrews highway. Great cappuccino and quick service. They have a full menu as well for food. The owner Robert came and introduced himself and made sure everything was good, and was very attentive. There are two small private rooms for bible study, meetings, etc., and the actual coffee shop is huge. Will definitely be back read more

I love this place! The atmosphere is so laid back and comfortable. Higher Grounds is the kind of place you can have a board meeting in a back room or just hang out and veg to some music. The baristas are always friendly and make GREAT coffee and smoothies. If you're hungry, they have a nice selection of light foods as well. Hi Everybody, I have to tell you this is the Best Coffeehouse in Midland Texas. If you've never been you need to give them a stoppin in. It's clean , the staff is Very friendly, why even the owner stops by and says hi to everyone . The variety on the menu is amazing. Even my Diabetic husband who Never gets to join us. Gets a Delicious drink here. Thank you Higher Ground for not making us wait in long lines, or getting our drinks wrong like other places we have been. Your #1 in my book . Clean and cute environment, a good chai latte and London fog. But the staff was very rude. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches, waited 20 minutes, asked politely about the sandwiches and they simply "forgot". The coffee at Higher Grounds was nice, and the ambiance was adorable. However, my family and I came here for food as well and we were all pretty disappointed. The coffee shop itself is great and in a nice location (don't park out front, backing out was very scary). I loved the pictures displayed and the layout. The furniture was modern and comfortable. The mug wall was definitely a nice touch as well. The coffee was pretty typical of a coffee shop. The produce didn't taste fresh in the sandwiches and the baked goods tasted like something you could buy at a grocery store. For Midland, the pricing was reasonable and the staff was lovely. The owner and staff are such nice people! I ordered the Nutty Latte and the Carrot Cake oatmeal and let me tell you, I've never tried an oatmeal that tasted like carrot cake and it was devine. I always loved Higher Grounds because of the environment and the art around the walls. It gives it a nice cozy touch to a nice coffee shop here in Midland. Since August I've been going to higher grounds to get a cup of coffee almost everyday. They have a very great staff ready to take care of you. The coffee is great and environment overall is great and relaxing. You can have business meetings there while enjoying your coffee. Highly recommend yall try at least once. read more

My mother and I stopped by this coffee shop after wanting to for several years. We've heard many great things about this establishment since it's opening. I'm so glad they we did get the chance to stop during the first day of Texas entering the first phase of the workplaces reopening since the mandatory quarantine began. What a treat this coffee shop was and my mother and I got two giant muffins, blueberry and chocolate, respectively. Additionally, we also ordered two breakfasts, eggs, bacon and toast, and included their carrot cake oatmeal. We were not disappointed everything was delicious and looking forward to returning soon. At the beginning of quarantine I started swinging by this little shop so I could support local. Now it has become a favorite of mine. Will always try to stop by whenever I get a chance! Back on the twenty, I reached over and pulled a donut from the box, took a bite and instantly got taken back to the early 80s. Damn!!! No over saturated fats, no crisco on the roof of my mouth. No high fructose corn syrup sugars. Good lord!!! Who is Johnny?! Wow!!! Damn right I'll be back.
