The first time I went to Fowler's was to buy sponge candy for some friends in Florida. My friend Tasha sent me a book that turned out to be one of the best I've ever read. It's an old book and out of print, and I kept the book longer than was honestly acceptable, so when I mailed it back I wanted to include something special. I sent a box of milk chocolate and a box of orange milk chocolate sponge candy. Needless to say, I was forgiven. The shop is small, but don't let that fool you. There's a lot packed inside and it's plenty of variety. Wonderful gifts or treats for yourself. I went back just before Christmas to pick up a couple of boxes of sponge candy for my best friend, and the associate working at the counter offered to wrap them up for me. The customer service has been top notch every time I've been in there. The store is clean and organized in a way that makes it easy to find what you need. There's enough parking and it's easy to get in and out. Seriously, Fowler's; let's hang out more, okay? I promise I'll come see you more in 2025, and it would be great if you wanted to by my place, too. I'll put the coffee on if you bring the chocolate.

Headed to the counter and showed the app, they said have a seat we'll get your bag ready. The place is cute inside kinda homey with little kiosk with stuff for sale. She brought my bag over and had a cup for coffee. She let me to the coffee station & I had the coffee of the day. I normally don't drink flavored coffee but it was real good, a nutty and creamy flavor combined. My bag had a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and slice of blueberry crumble pie. The table by me had sandwiches that looked good, will definitely be back.

For those who have never been, there's two entry points; the front (from the street), is wheelchair friendly, while the back (from the parking lot) has some stairs. There are two single bathrooms available in this place. If you're dining in, you can order at the counter and they'll bring the food to your table. Regardless you need to order at the counter anyway. They always have a great selection of baked goods and coffee, plus specialty drinks on rotation. They offer light breakfast and lunch if you don't want just a coffee and pastry. They sell gifts and ground/bean coffee along with flavored syrups. For this particular trip, I ventured in to get lavender syrup (Torani). I treated myself to a specialty rotating drink (Hansel and Gretel frozen coffee - frozen coffee with gingerbread and white chocolate). I also purchased a blueberry muffin and a pumpkin cream cheese muffin (also a rotation dessert specialty). All were excellent, as par for course here. I don't hear at all but speak well, so the kind lady at the front grabbed a pad and writing utensil to communicate with me, which was very helpful and so we both were on the same page. It was very appreciated. Another reason I love this place, they're so accommodating

We went with the Uncle Papi, which can only be described as pizza and a fried chicken sandwich having a beautiful, messy love child. The chicken filet was impressively large, and the Sunday sauce? So good it would absolutely earn a seal of approval from my Italian grandma. The fries were plentiful, and while I regret not testing one of their fun dipping sauces, the house-made blue cheese did not disappoint. We also ordered the Messy Pressy (aka the poutine burger), and it lived up to its name in the best possible way. Delicious, indulgent, and led to a nap on the ride home. Already looking forward to coming back--and possibly making it a personal goal to work my way through every burger and sandwich on the menu. Those brunch burgs are calling my name, and I'm not ignoring them.

We attempted to figure out if they had sweet and low for the iced tea, the cashier girl told me to check with the bar!? Nope. Blasting music so loud we couldn't hear each other. $50 for two smallish burgers and an order of sweet potato fries with hard cinnamon butter was enough for one visit. Don't waste your time or money. Bathroom was also pretty dirty as well.
