A decade+ of receiving flowers from my boyfriend now husband! They even created my wedding bouquet for my courthouse nuptials in 2019, along with my husband's lapel pin. This particular arrangement is what he usually gets each year bc it looks like my wedding bouquet and is perfect for end of November vibes! I feel like this years arrangement was actually the best one yet! Appreciate that they'll send a text when the delivery is made at our doorstep (vs handed to a person if not home). The handwriting of the card had lovely penmanship (since he was out of town so couldn't write it himself). Ive been gifted and blessed with flowers from here a couple of times and the flower arrangements are always beautiful !! I personally haven't bought flowers from here but my husband wants to support a small business The only comment is we need some tips on how to take better care of them, please advise. They last around 5 days for me and I keep the water fresh and make sure it's not too hot and sunny. The service and transportation is great with the delivery aspect. The person who delivers is always nice and they give a call! 10/10 on that ! I would recommend this place to anyone and will continue to get the flowers ! Thank u read more

I ordered a Mother's Day delivery, and the driver couldn't reach the recipient the day of, so they contacted me right away to let me know and they delivered the flowers the next day. The recipient and I didn't mind the belated gift, and the bouquet was beautiful. Ordering online was easy. Fixing the delivery issue was also a breeze. I've been really loving giving out flowers to my friends for their birthdays. I am terrible at planning ahead though and I always order day of, but this place has been wonderful fulfilling my requests quickly! The arrangements are always gorgeous, so far I've gotten three, and I love being able to customize the theme.They've done an awesome job each time! One I asked for a unique or unusual bouquet and it came out perfect for my best friend! The second I got a daily deal and it was very vibrant and beautiful as well. Today I picked up a gothic bouquet and it is really lovely as well! All of them were about $60 with tip. The people working are really sweet also!! TLDR: Local shop serving the community. Featured on Apple maps through petal Republic as a top flower shop. Been coming here for awhile and flowers are always good. Have online website if you prefer ordering that way. Many options available including a deal of the day (discount). Personally prefer calling them to place an order to find out what flowers they have and recommendations. read more

Just visited this wonderful flower shop. Griselda helped me greatly to create a beautiful bouquet to celebrate my anniversary. Sadly my husband of 14 years passed away suddenly last year, so this anniversary marked the first one without him. Griselda was so kind and helpful and ensured that a bouquet fit for our aesthetic was put together. I am so happy and thankful to have come into their shop. This is a great local florist near my cousin's neighborhood in Eagle Rock, CA. Every year on her birthday I enjoy sending her beautiful flowers, a succulent, or house plant. This year I tried a new florist. Highland Park florist did a great job and my cousin sent me a text she loves the flowers. I ordered on Friday and it was successfully delivered on her bday on Saturday! I took a chance by ordering the "deal of the day" so I didn't know how it would turn out. I had initially placed an order with an unknown florist via Bouqs for next day delivery, which was unfortunately cancelled due to "no florist partners available to fulfill the order". Then I did what I should have done from the very beginning and ordered directly from Highland Park Florist! They had beautiful selections of bouquets and delivered same day with no extra fee. This is my go to flower shop. The quality and price are unbeatable. They're always kind and create beautiful arrangements that get tons of compliments. I love to come here as it is genuinely enjoyable to see what they have to offer and share with others. Twice now I've come here first thing in the morning before work and they weren't open. Today I was here at 9:10 am and they were closed despite their opening hours being 9 am. Last time I was there right at 9 am and they weren't open. I start work at 9 but planned to come in late so I could get flowers. It's a disappointment when I change my schedule and they're not open. I then have to take my business down the street who are open during their advertised hours. read more

Been living in highland park most of my life but never notice this place till recently. A client mother passed away and we had to find a flower shop quick. luckily this place was just around the corner from my house located on figueroa st. At first i was a bit hesitant (since i rarely to never order flowers before).But when we walked in we were greeted right away. I told them what flowers I'd like to order and the rest I left it up to the florist. They made everything so easy! In and out within 5 mins. Flowers came out amazing. Delivery was unexpectedly fast and the flower arrangement was the best arrangement I have ever ordered. I am usually dissatisfied when I see pictures of floral arrangements because they never look like the picture - they always look less than I expected, but this florist really did an excellent job and exceeded expectations. I wish I could leave 10 stars! Since we moved to Highland Park, I have used them exclusively for all of our flower/balloons etc. At first because I wanted to support local business but then realized that they are just best florist EVER. My wife and I couldn't be happier with how our flower arrangements turned out with Highland Park Florist!! We ordered two medium bouquets, several small boutonnieres and one medium/large entry table arrangement. We came to them with less than a month before our wedding and reviewed our budget, timeline, color palate and pointed out a few flowers around the shop that fell in line with our vision and HPF knocked it out of the park in every way. We came here to order flower arrangements for my father's funeral. They were very professional and kind to our situation. The casket cover and flower rosary were absolutely beautiful. They did a gorgeous job. We also had family from Texas order a custom arrangement and they also did a great job on that. They delivered everything on time. Prices were fair , customer service was great. Pls support this local small business that has been in highland park for many many years. I was desperate for a same-day delivery in Monterey Park as it was already late in the day. Most florists require requests in by 12pm noon for same-day delivery, but I was actually able to order an arrangement - and via DoorDash - for Highland Park Florist to my coworker (her dog had passed :( ). Despite the last-minute nature of the request (I ordered at 5:32pm), I was able to get a bouquet (wrapped in kraft paper, not an arrangement in a vase) delivered for less than $40. My coworker came home to the flowers after a sad day and appreciated the gesture. Being able to get flowers delivered to someone after a sad and unexpected event goes a long way, so thank you HP Florist! read more

I was en route to my mother's birthday last week, and called the florist to see if she could help me put together one seen on her website in 30 mins. She delivered, EXCELLENT customer service, made a gorgeous bouquet and added my mother's favorite flowers per my request. But why I am really writing this review is because when I visited my mom a week later, the flowers looked exactly the same. Gorgeous and blooms still to come, and all mom did was change the water. We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that.When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.

On the day of the service, we went to the cemetery and when we arrived, we noticed our specific arrangements ordered from this place were thrown on the ground and broken, with roses out of place and in the ground, while the other arrangements from other shops were nicely placed and displayed. as a grieving family, you would want everything to go as plan, smooth and beautiful, as appreciation for your loved one. My husband called Gladys, and spoke to him and said that the arrangements were placed at the gravesite, but yet when she sent the pictures, it was no where near our grandbaby's site. Very disappointed that after talking with her, she was adiment that it was not her delivery workers but instead blamed it on Rose Hills. My husband all he wanted from Gladys and the flower shop to take responsibility for the misdelivered of the flowers arrangements and destruction. Please do not place your orders with this shop, unless you want these arrangements destroyed.

I was able to send photos of past arrangements of hers that I liked via text message and photos of the cymbidium orchids that my grandma used to grow. Little Tokyo Florist at first quoted a higher price than I was expecting, but was able to lower the price and include as many orchids as possible within my budget. It turned out that a lot of orchids fit within the budget! The design of the spray was very beautiful, as I expected from photos of her work on Yelp. Delivery was $40 and the spray was $300, not including tax. After tax the total was $373.15. The flowers lasted a long time after the service, so we definitely got some fresh flowers.

Most recently, Little Tokyo Florist made 2 beautiful custom bouquets and understood exactly what I was going for. It looked unique and not generic and had the more wild aesthetic I was going for. They have a good selection and the quality of the flowers for the last order was great. Photos of them don't do them justice! Only feedback is their delivery prices are a bit high and it can be tough to get the desired delivery time but that may be due to it being a small run business so it's the actual owner I believe who hand delivers some of the orders which is rare and cool. I ordered 2, one delivered to Monterey park which was $30 for delivery and the other was originally supposed to be delivered to the apartment building literally across the street (Tokyo Villa) and they were going to charge me $20 so I opted to pick it up after work and deliver them myself.

I stopped by Highland Park Florist the other day to pick up a birthday bouquet for my bestie, and the entire experience was so fun and effortless! I was helped right away, and one of my favorite parts was being able to fully customize the bouquet. The carnations were absolutely gorgeous, and I loved getting to mix and match different colors. At just $2 per stem, it was super affordable too! I also added some white and purple baby's breath for a softer touch. The girl who assisted me was incredibly kind and helpful, she arranged and wrapped everything so beautifully. I even added a cute birthday balloon for $1, and my total came out to around $22-$23, which felt like such a great deal for how lovely everything turned out. The shop itself is just as charming. I love the mural painted outside, and inside, all the flowers and pre-arranged bouquets are displayed so beautifully! It's hard not to want everything! Overall, such a great experience. I'll definitely be back the next time I need flowers for a loved one. Our son had an opening at an art gallery to display his photographs, and my wife and I found an arrangement on the Teleflora site which we wanted to send to him as a congratulatory arrangement. Highland park was not a TF member, but I called Lucy and described to her what we were looking for. I subsequently sent her the link to the TF arrangement, and she did a REMARKABLE job in creating what we were looking for. I would highly recommend Lucy and her staff for any floral needs in the Highland Park area. My family and I have been coming to Highland Park Florist for years starting since I was young! They have made my prom corsages to flowers for my baby shower and recently I booked them for my wedding party flowers. They made my bridal bouquet, the bouquets for my bridal party and the corsages for family members. They spent so much time working with me and were so patient with me throughout the planning process. They even delivered the flowers to the venue for me which really eased a lot of stress on the day of. I usually HATE ordering flowers online, because most of the time what your loved ones receive are crappy/withered flowers. This year, I really wanted to surprise my mom and sister in law with some early Mother's Day flowers so I took a chance. Read great things about Highland Park Florist and just went for it.
