Juan is very accommodating in packing boxes to be shipped, advising as to which carrier is the best choice for a given purpose, and convenient to drop FedEx/UPS returns. It is well worth a bit extra to send via USPS and save myself the trip into town. I've used every service other than PO Box. 5 stars all around, I'm baffled to see any negative reviews here at all! Friendly greeting, clean space, so many services, nice gift shop, efficient communication by phone and in person, and best of all - they have a free parking lot :) I've been here a few times over the years and it's always a positive experience. Inaccurate information given to me when I asked. And honestly kinda rude.

For those who live in the Highlands the location of Highlands Postal Center is simply perfect. Sadly, their customer service is anything but. My most recent problem is with the head guy in the store who literally REFUSES to accept my FedEx packages because he has decided (not a problem with FedEx) to accept my street address which is a UPS Store but a real address with someone there to accept a package during business hours. In the past six months, they lost the tags for two broken toilets that came smashed in the box from Amazon. He wrote me a note stating that he wanted to charge me for storage. I wouldn't allow that. I worked with Amazon and ultimately got rid of them within hours of finding out there was a problem. I thought they had been returned. Yesterday, he had a rude comment to me about coming into his store to drop off FedEx. It was a $3,200 Apple Mac Book Pro that was being returned. It pains me to have to write a 1-star review but people need to know what this one person is doing to make shipping so difficult in the Palisades. Yes, you can go into the Village and there are other options but they aren't as close with as good of parking. read more

Owner/operators could care less about customer service or ensuring delivery integrity. You could see delays in shipping, "lost packages" or other issues and not even know about it. I would give ZERO STARS, IF POSSIBLE The lion's share of reviews on this site are negative, and I can attest to having similar negative experiences with the owner, Juan, over the four years that I maintained a box there. I avoided interaction with him as much as I could because he is very confrontational, flying into fits of rage over seemingly the smallest things. I have witnessed him swear at customers (myself included). He is untruthful when he insists he is not the owner, when the State of California SOS site clearly indicates otherwise; He is untrustworthy in that he has opened packages and then claimed they were damaged in transit; He demonstrates little or no integrity when he issues a renewal invoice and, when paid within two days - insists on assessing higher fees than originally invoiced; He is emotionally disturbed when he screams at customers and chases them throughout the parking lot in an attempt to intimidate them. In short, Juan is not emotionally stable and deliberately attempts to create chaos and disorder in the lives of present and past customers. One past customer, an accountant, has reported on another independent site that important mail from governmental agencies has been 'refused' or discarded. Another reports that the counter person attempted to steal a check that was delivered there. BEWARE: THIS BUSINESS IS NOT A USPS REGISTERED MAIL COLLECTION SITE AND DOES NOT ADHERE TO THE HIGH STANDARDS OF THE USPS/POSTMASTER GENERAL. An Example: USPS Registered collection sites are required to forward your mail for 6 months after box closure. Juan takes advantage of the fact that his business is NOT a registered site and, therefore, he is not required to forward mail. In fact, as in my case, he deliberately marks mail received as 'REFUSED' and returns it to the sender or discards it. The few positive reviews from people as far away as San Francisco are, perhaps, from family members. When a business gets as many negative reviews from such a wide variety of customers as this business, clearly, the is a serious problem. read more

Just a bad business in our neighborhood, what a shame. Really bad print rates (mine was nearing $45 for 18 colored 11x17 pages). I agreed to pay their already expensive price for the convince, then was hit with a 5 dollar fee of "internet fee and printer" wherever the hell that means. My prints also had printer marks as well (attached). I really want businesses in my area to succeed of course, however, I wasn't even treated with respect form the employees. When I made a comment about the 5 dollar printer fee, he remarked "In my neighborhood it's $9. I keep telling the owner he needs to raise the price". Sorry but what bullshit. read more

I love this place because I can drop my packages off to be picked up by Fed Ex and UPS and not worry. Also, they do an excellent job packing things up for me. I do not have to fill out tons of paperwork and it goes very fast. I was inspired to write this review because this morning I sent a gift to my friend in Italy and I had not even packaged it and they made it happen in less than 3 minutes. SCAM stay far away !!! On Wednesday 1/9/19 I dropped off a package to be delivered via EXPRESS I was charged $68. I was very clear I needed it delivered by Friday or Saturday. Both the manager and the assistant were behind the desk as I dropped off. It wasn't busy of course. He gave me a receipt with no tracking number anything not even itemized it just showed I paid $68. It felt odd at the time not to get a detailed receipt but I was in such a hurry. The package never arrived Saturday as I needed and they sent it PRIORITY mail instead after I spoke with the distribution center that had my package ! They only paid $8 for regular priority instead to pocket the rest of my money. And the package wouldn't be arriving till Monday !!! THEY ARE SCAMMING EVERYONE and most people wouldn't notice since it's common for packages to arrive late. Be very cautious if you request fast shipping and they pull this fast scam on you. If you decide to go there anyway ALWAYS ask for an itemized receipt because they will go out of their way to alter the order to make a bigger profit without you noticing. I went back in 1/14/19 to get my money back, and he gave me cash back. I voiced my concerns about feeling scammed and he was covering his basis since I caught him and claimed his assistant made a mistake, and if he was scamming me he wouldn't give my money back. Well sometimes thieves have todo the right thing to cover their bases. This WASN'T a mistake it was very intentional as I said since most people wouldn't notice. Went into the Highland Postal Center at 12:30pm today, March 29, with a padded envelop with a prepaid UPS label taped on top. No one else was in the store. I was told that the label needed to be taped all the way around the perimeter. I needed 4" of tape. I asked to use the tape dispenser on the counter. Every time I go into this business, I'm met by rude angry employees. You cannot even understand them when they answer the telephone! I called them to get a price on a smaPO box. RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and UNSAFE MAILING PRACTICES: They claim that they are a UPS drop off center, but do NOT be fooled, as UPS has no registered location as such. They rudely ask you to drop your package on the floor in the middle of the store out in the open. Warning: You are doing this at your own risk and there is no guarantee if UPS would ever come to pick up your package or someone else would, you might as well leave your package out at on the street and hope for a pick up!!! Their answer to the safety issue was actually a sarcastic question, "Do you have a million dollar in the package?" I opened my mailbox at the awesome UPS store in town, instead where they treat all my packages as if each one is one precious cargo worth over s million dollars! Even though I need to drive longer I prefer to see happy, professional people 3-4 times per week and know that my packages are in safe hands. Lastly their prices are outrageous, but I understand that this is a free market and I hope the overpricing issue does not take away from my main point of their misrepresentation and rudeness. I have only had terrible experiences with this place. I've tried to mail items from this place a few times and all of times their service was awful. The first time I brought in a pre-labeled package to ship and the guy charged me $7.50 for 1 piece of tape. This time I needed one stamp and they don't sell those. Additionally, they chose to help the lady in line behind me before telling me they couldn't sell me a stamp instead of helping customers in the order in which they arrived. Awful. read more

Fast and efficient- so much better than the post office! The guy who works here is super friendly and always willing to help. They sell the typical basic post office items plus a little more (cards, pens, random knick nacks / gifts). But let's face it, who buys anything here? I've often dropped off open packages that are being returned to Amazon or need to be shipped elsewhere and he assures me he'll tape them up and get them sent. I've never had an issue with the items getting to where they are going. As far as pricing goes, I paid $16 for 2 day delivery of a birthday gift in a box, that seems pretty normal to me. read more

For months now, not getting mail, late late bills, packages delivered to my neighbors more than once, postal carrier backing up to put "forgotten" mail in my box. Don't drop off packages with prepaid return labels here! I tried to drop off FedEx package and asked for a receipt (really important to have when you are shipping anything in case the recipient claims they didn't get it) and they said there was a charge to get a receipt ($3) - total ripoff, who charges for a tiny slip of paper? So I was supposed to just hand off a package with an expensive item in it and trust that they would ship it without any proof that I handed it over to them? Set up a FedEx envelope on my account and it showed this place as a recognized drop-off place. It's Friday. The website and the sign on the door state that this place should be open until 6pm. I arrived at 5:20pm and a man with a little boy helping him carry a big box was also there. The door was locked, the lights were off and the sign still stated the business was "OPEN". We knocked, we hollered and no one answered. This is not the first time I've had an unpleasant experience at this place. I thought I'd give it another chance and should've listened to my gut. I like to support local businesses, and have been buying little things here and there as I routinely dropped off UPS and USPS packages with my pre-paid labels. Fast forward to today, where they not only didn't want to even hear about a package that was lost, they also claimed I could only drop off a maximum of 3 packages for USPS. Is this a new policy? I'm now limited to how many packages I can drop off? Isn't this part of the services offered when you have a USPS sign on the door? Avoid this place at all costs. Surly employee who demanded $1.95 for a receipt showing I dropped off my prepaid UPS package. He would not scan it in unless I paid--no proof I had left the package with them. I called UPS and they told me the location "was not supposed to charge for a receipt" but offered no remedy other than taking the package to the UPS service center. Don't go here! Packing, shipping, other services including copying are 100% overpriced at this location. The guy that works there is arrogant and not respectful of his local retail customers. His English is indiscernible. Even to make a copy at the ridiculous $.25 per page charge is overpriced.
