do not work here or send your loved ones here. i am a worker here and the workers are snobby and…read morerude, and they are outrageously rude to the residents here. the workers put on a show for people who come visit their loved ones, all the nice, and happy, and smiles you see is all fake! today October 23, 2025 a nurse here was telling other nurses that a resident here was not liking the idea of him have a catheter, so he got upset and was saying he didn't want it on himself, and he was moving around, and the nurse told the other nurses she snatched him by his feet and yanked him to the edge of the bed and yelled at him in his face "you're going to keep this f**king catheter on rather you like it or not" she was demonstrating how she was pulling him as if she was proud of herself. this is a elderly who has pain and is fragile!!!! anything that you accidentally missed of your loved ones belongings after they've passed away, the nurses either throw the items away or give them to other residents or take them home for themselves.... to me that is just very disrespectful. about 2 weeks or so ago, i over heard a resident telling a nurse that another nurse slapped her in the face :( this place is just awful, and it's too expensive.

The staff makes us all laugh. They work hard to cheer us up. They interviewed me to find out what I like and others there then arranged activities to enhance our stay. The Chef cooked special orders cheerfully. I found the food fresh & delicious. Loved getting breakfast in bed when I slept in. I was bed ridden until physical & occupational therapists worked with me to get me walking again and reducing my oxygen from 4 down to one. I feel it is possible to be back in the league playing tennis & golf again next summer. Thank you everyone peers & staff at The Anderson ". For the gentleman who went to Heaven instead of home. His family was well liked too. The funeral director took care of everything. We mourned and did an activity he would have enjoyed by watching "The Haunted House" with Eddy Murphy. I felt closure talking with my peers. If you or a family member needs special care? I strongly recommend "The Anderson".

Due to the complexity of my disability (C4-6 quadriplegia), combined with the medications I am…read moredependent on, and frequent staffing shortages, The Waters is not suggested. During my seven days at The Waters, my daughter was able to attend to a great deal of my care. The meds I take daily were requested and locked in their safe. Unexpectedly, the facility would not dispense my medicine because all prescriptions are to be ordered from The Waters pharmaceutical resource. Consequently, Episodes of dizziness, withdrawal, and shortness of breath consumed me for several days. The denial of the medicines was life-threatening and unnecessary per state guidelines in these circumstances; state law dictates that this was a violation of the code that states every nursing home in Indiana must be prepared to provide prescribed medicine. There was a blood pressure pill prescribed to address high blood pressure when hyperdysreflexia occurs in spinal cord injuries. When blood pressure exceeds 160 (the bottom number), that is the time to take my blood pressure pill. The application for my blood pressure was misunderstood for several days; the nurse gave me this blood pressure medicine while I was in a state of confusion, but I refused another pill afterwards. One morning, two aids came to my room with breakfast. I asked if they would turn me over in my bed, as I am unable to do so independently. I settled and closed my eyes, but something was wrong. I got on my left elbow and discovered there were no covers to conceal my bare right leg hanging over my left leg, and hanging out of bed. I struggled to get my leg into bed, but I was too close to the bed's edge and about to fall out onto the floor. Additionally, my bedside drainage bag had not been brought around to the side of the bed I was lying on. My best chance of immediate help was to put my hands together and pound the headboard; help arrived after thirty punches. My rescuer was appalled. A doctor looked at both hands and felt both hands for breaks. He saw bruising and swollen knuckles; X-rays were ordered. Three days have passed since my departure; my doctor has no X-rays. The Waters hasn't called or provided any information regarding. I met some good and caring people who attended to things during my daughter's absence. Angie (nurse) took the necessary time to clean what most others did poorly; she had great compassion regarding my suffering. Morgan worked daily to hurry the process of providing my meds, but was accountable to another who was void of compassion and the understanding of state law. Ann (RN) acted professionally; she did everything I needed to the best of her ability; excellence. My seven days at The Waters are behind me now. I harbor no ill will towards anyone. But, the Waters assured my wife, me, and my family that I would be well cared for while she attended to matters in Arizona; we had nothing to worry about, so we were assured. Such was not the case. My long-term disability was too much for a frequently understaffed nursing home to handle, and the long hall with only three patients was a long way from the nurses' station and the existing population; right where the action was, near and busy.

To begin with Waters of Batesville was awesome!! This time I was referred by my surgeon who had his mother at to try Waters of Batesville in Batesville, Indiana to check them out. I did a tour of the facility with Debbie and was very impressed with what I saw that I ended up choosing them for my short term recovery. I was there only 8 days and walked out without my walker! The entire staff here were always smiling, always helping each other out, answered the nurse call button within minutes, but most of all took the time with you to listen to any questions or concerns I may of had. I'm sure I'm going to miss a few names of the staff and if so sorry but they all complimented each other in the way they all worked together as a team! Thanks Debbie, Crystal, Harley, Savanannah, Annette, Gayle, Angie, Stephanie, Lynsey, Sis, Lisa, Marsha and Glenda who tidied my room everyday, Physically therapy was fun and challenging but the team here is amazing and work to keep you moving and on the road to recovery. Thank you to Bridget, Kay Lemon, Daxie and the rest of the therapy team!! They had daily activities and I tried to attend as many of the craft activities as possible with Jacki to help pass the time and keep me busy. BUT the most that I was impressed with were the actual patients! Whether they were there short term or long term they all seemed happy and were always smiling!! And to me a happy patient means great care and Waters of Batesville provided the best of care!! I almost felt like I was on my own little mini vacation away from home. lol All in all I would highly recommend Waters of Batesville to anyone in need of short term or long term care because this is a place that to me not only had a wonderful caring staff but also had happy cared for patients. Thanks to all of you!! Linnea Klinger
