My appointment was scheduled for 5:30 PM with Nicole, her last appointment of the day, and I wasn't taken back until 5:50 PM. Once I was in the treatment room, it immediately felt rushed. While discussing my injection plan, I asked for a mirror so I could point out specific areas on my face. Although she briefly handed it to me, she quickly took it back. When I asked if I could keep the mirror in my lap to reference during the appointment, she responded by asking if I was "scared," which felt both dismissive and unprofessional, especially considering I've been treated by her multiple times before. Additionally, she did not use the vein finder, despite knowing that I bruise easily and having the device readily available in the room. As a result, I was left with bruising that lasted for weeks. The overall tone of the appointment shifted at that point. The interaction became uncomfortable, and the provider's body language was noticeably standoffish. At one point, when discussing my brow area, I again needed the mirror to show what I was referring to, and the same pattern occurred...brief access, then taken away. Later, when I was bleeding and asked for the mirror to see where to apply pressure, it felt like an inconvenience rather than a reasonable request. The experience at checkout was equally disappointing. The receptionist only stated the total amount due, with no acknowledgment, courtesy, or even a simple "thank you" or "goodbye." This visit left me feeling rushed, dismissed, and uncomfortable...especially for a service that requires trust, communication, and attention to detail. It was clear to me during the appointment that this would be my last time there. Moving forward, I will be returning to a med spa that prioritizes professionalism, transparency, and patient care. In my experience, higher-quality practices take the time to review products with clients, including showing packaging, expiration dates, and lot numbers, and ensure the patient feels informed and respected throughout the process. I hope the owner takes feedback like this seriously, as experiences like mine can result in the loss of long-time clients.

She called Mgr Katey Callahan, Ms Callahan agreed to the discount. Then Ms. CALLAHAN decides to call me to tell me I shouldn't have received the discount. The woman is a nut. And really has poor customer service skills. Be aware of WHAT THEY ARE INJECTING. ASK TO SEE THE BOTTLE!

I'd purchased a…read moreGroupon for 40 units of BOTOX that was clearly advertised as the brand name and they tried to inject me with a different (cheaper) drug without telling me and without my consent. When I got there and the nurse was getting ready to inject, she filled the syringe from a red bottle (not the typical purple BOTOX bottle). I asked her to confirm that she was using BOTOX and she said no, she was using Letybo. I'd never heard of that DRUG and let her know that I wanted BOTOX, as was advertised. When she came back with the bottle, she informed me that her boss would not allow her to inject BOTOX unless I paid additional money, even though the Groupon clearly advertised BOTOX. I left without receiving any injections and had to report the issue to Groupon in order to get a refund. To be clear, the nurse was lovely and only doing her job, this issue lies with the owner of the establishment. The deception that this company is engaging in to get new customers is unacceptable, dangerous and illegal. Please be careful, and always be sure to ask to see the bottle and confirm what you're being injected with beforehand. I was lucky that I caught this. I will be reporting the Skincare Studio to the Department of Consumer Protection and the CT Medical Board.

I underwent a treatment and had absolutely no discernable change whatsoever to the tattoo. The laser operator was a "20-something" named Bruno. When I queried him about his training and/or credentials in the "space," his answer was "Oh, I got hired a couple of months ago and they showed me how to use the laser once and sent me to work" (by himself, completely alone in a shady-looking "office," with no medical supervision whatsoever). I'm not a dermatologist, but I am a doctor and I'm familiar with technical tools used in the clinical environment. When I asked for a mirror to watch the procedure, it was refused (citing company policy), and when I looked at the setting on the laser when Bruno was done it was on 20% power. I predict this company will be out of business within the year for their inability to show tangible results--despite their advertising pitches and so-called "before-and-after" imagining. Shame on them. Tattoo removal is expensive--but better to go to a real doctor's office that specializes in these procedures than a fly-by-night "business" like this.
