So I'm going against the grain here and giving this place a good review despite its faults. I'll go through the faults first and then tell you while we like it here regardless. So please read it, even though it's long! 1) Pet messes. This is a continual problem. I feel like there's so many potential solutions that are ignored. Like putting some sort of cleaning dispensing thing in the elevators (with paper towels and some sort of spray and a trash bin to go with it). There's nothing worse than that elevator door opening and seeing pee/poop everywhere. it's so bad that now despite how the floor looks, our son ALWAYS says "YUCK!" when the doors open :-P I think there should also be cleaning stuff on EVERY floor and in the lobby. When I talked to management about it, they suggested to have the stuff near the mailboxes, but if a dog goes to the bathroom in the elevator, by the time people get to the mailboxes, the elevator is gone and fellow residents get the awful surprise. It needs to be right where the mess is being made! 2) The black ice on the parking lot during winter. My husband fell while he was holding our son! Our little baby had a nice goose egg on his forehead despite my husband's best efforts to fall mostly on his arm. 3) No cell phone reception. It's gotten better since we moved here in 2013, but the excuse we get is that we are "above the cell towers". I was hoping they would buy network extenders. We had to get a land line and pay $$ though we hardly use it-- we just want to make sure we can talk to people on the phone when we are home! Rent is HIGH, but this is the reality in this area. The grass isn't always greener in places with cheaper rent. A lot of people complain of noise, but maybe it's because I've lived in worse places,but I don't really hear anything. But noise comes with any apartment community living. BUT! There are always going to be pros and cons to a place. It's normal to be extremely disappointed and I get it, but I've also lived in a lot of different places, and despite its flaws, we really like it here. This is why: 1) CENTRAL AIR. THANK GOD FOR THIS. 2) The Community. Aside from the time we lived in Oak Square, I never knew my neighbors. Here, though it sort of feels college campusy, I at least have gotten to know people! It's been better since our son was born and we've started to bond with other parents, so it's nice. The complex also puts on events like a movie night or a game night...community barbecues...hosting paint night parties...there's a halloween party for kids and adults... a winter holiday party (they get the fire department to bring Santa by- it's so cute!). The person who dresses as Santa works for Berkshire and lets kids sit on his lap for pics. The people in the office are really trying. The people who live here are nice. 3) The shuttle. Thank goodness for this shuttle! It only runs during rush hour times, but at least it's there! There's been a high turnover in drivers but at this time, we are really happy with our AM and PM drivers. The PM driver (Tom) is our favorite. He absolutely loves our son and lets us just come in for the ride (our son is obsessed with the bus). 4) It's SO SPACIOUS. Unless you've lived in a bigger place or have owned your own house, this place is big! I know there are different floor plans (we have the biggest one of the 2 bed two bath), but from how we lived before, even the one beds here are really spacious. Lots of good closet space....there is plenty of counter and cabinet space (something we've never had before!). 5) It's SO pretty here! It's nice to have trees and flowers and green space around! 6) The amenities. We have a gym (I don't use it, but I know it's been remodeled recently), a pool, a game room, a club house (expensive to rent but nice when parties are held there), a courtyard with grills and outdoor seating, a tennis court, ON SITE MAINTENANCE... 7) Lease renewal perks: with every lease renewal you get either a carpet cleaning voucher or a paint voucher to paint one wall of the apartment. If you are picky, don't move here. If you just want a nice place to live for the time being, this is it. This is not your forever home but it's home! It's not perfect, but what place is?? I have to say that my opinions may be swayed by the fact we moved here after living in a place with only 2 prong outlets, TINY closets, truly paper thin walls (like we heard our neighbors use the toilet) and a clawfoot tub that drained slowly. Therefore, the reviews I see make me think they lived in mansions before.... There are a ton of horrible reviews out there, but I am sure my friends would agree with my comments. It's easier to write bad reviews than good reviews I guess. Again, it's not the perfect place to live, and as you see above, there are valid complaints, but there's no perfect place. I don't regret moving here. And we are still here. This is officially year 3. I hope this helps in your apartment search! read more

Nice grounds, severe safety concerns and more... Our stay at highpoint had highs and lows. We stayed from March 2025-June 2026. Pros include fast maintenance calls during regular hours (for damaged or broken items, normal maintenance etc). The grounds are always kept very nice, the building is always clean. I never had a package stolen or items missing. Unfortunately the list of cons outweighs the pros. During our 15 month stay we had several issues come up that were either ignored, pushed down the line, or told they did all they could. Within the first few months the luggage cart in the lobby of the building was damaged. I submitted a ticket and was told that they had ordered a new one. Upon leaving this June there still had not been a new one. On December 30th a party took place across the hall from my apartment. We asked them to quiet down and I submitted a ticket to let the office know they were not being respectful. December 31st they had another party. Well after midnight we asked them to quiet down. They were very disrespectful and threatened to beat up my girlfriend if she called the cops (they were all underage). Come to find these teens had broken into the building and into this apartment to have a party. Police eventually came and removed the kids. I brought this up to the leasing office and they had no idea. I asked for a follow up after I reported it and was concerned with the safety of the apartment and received no response. SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. Another party like this happened on Valentine's Day and again, no response or message shared with the community. This was the first year of severe snowstorms in a while. We paid for covered parking. The first snow storm, technically blizzard. I arrived home from work to find a car parked in my spot. I called maintenance and was told someone would be on it. A few hours went by and no movement and my car was covered with more snow. I submitted another ticket. The next day I went to the office with my frustration and was told "they probably just weren't towing last night". How practical is that? The next storm, the same exact thing. On another occasion, a car was parked in my spot, I went to the office to tow the car. They insisted that they call the resident first. I said I understand and waited in the office for them to call the resident. They would not call, stating "we like to give the resident some time before we start asking". I replied that I would be in the office until the car was moved as I pay for the spot and should not have to wait. They reluctantly called and the driver eventually moved the car. We had also been told back in January that work was being done on the gate to the parking lot. As of June the gate is still inoperable. Beginning in May we noticed a truck parked outside of the building with a driver every single day. All day all night. Eventually, curiosity got the best of us and we asked the driver what they were doing. They were a member of the Quincy Fire Department and they were on a detail because the fire sprinkler system in the building was not up to standard. This was never once communicated to any of the residents. This is a concerning aspect that was never communicated. We were told in the weeks leading up to Memorial Day that the pool was in disrepair and would not open on time. A few weeks later we were told that the pool was not going to be opened on their adjusted date as they could not get the permitting from the city. One would think that having lost the major amenity in the complex would result in a waived amenity fee. Not at Highpoint. Communication is truly the biggest issue in this complex. The leasing office does not seem approachable. They do not like taking responsibility or acting when residents ask. It takes over a week to get an email response, if you get one at all. Calling over the phone is impossible as their AI assistant ends all phone calls and asks that you leave a message that the office will never get back to you on. The downfall of this complex is the staffing. When we signed our lease the manager of the complex, Caitlin, was excellent. She was kind, responsive, helpful. When she moved locations everything went down hill. Communication was unheard of, the people in the office were rude, work orders stalled. Eric, Shamila, and the two others have a lot of work to do. It takes nothing to respond to an email or communicate effectively with your tenants. read more

Claim to allow Vouchers yet make up unreasonable income minimums so they don't have to rent to ppl with vouchers, yet will waste your time with emails and calls, not tell you the rules until you show up for the Tour, or maybe they just didn't like my skin? read more

I feel the need to put a review for this place after the horrible experience they gave me. I lived there for almost 5 months. then COVID took over the universe and in the midst of everything my husband got an offer to work in Washington and I got furloughed from my job. I notified management that I am no longer working and won't afford to live in the apartment. I was told I can't break my lease, but I could add roommates and they would essentially be living there but I would still be the lease holder. So I went ahead found a couple to take over the place, notified management, submitted their info and management did a background and credit check. I thought everything was fine because I got a new lease with the new persons names on it. I got an email asking if I would need additional keys for the new roommates. I was under the impression everything is all taken care of. But boy was I wrong, On the day I am supposed to give the new tenants "my roommates" the keys. T property manager who's a nightmare and the worst person in the world decided to say no you can't do that. You can't hand them the keys and you are responsible for breaking the lease early and all this other nonsense. So we ended up leaving anyways and because of all the stress I was dealing with due to being without a job, pregnant and now having this mess with high point I ended up in the hospital with sky rocketing high blood pressure and ended up having to get a C-section to save my 26 week old babies life. Likely both baby and I survived. when I reached to management trying to explain my situation the manager (who was a female) was so inconsiderate and money hungry and did not have an ounce of humanity in her. She basically brushed me off and told me there's nothing that can be done to help me. but I need continue to pay the rent for that apartment. read more

I have lived at HighPoint Apartments for over 5 years now and love calling it home. Quiet, professional residents that respect each other's living and privacy. The staff is also top notch. Very responsive to needs whether it's appliance replacement to other requests. Same day service and or communication is big for me; that's what they do. We moved to this house and was always a problem, since the day we moved there were bedbugs in the house, we also had to throw our mattress because of that and since when we wanted to move from the unhealthy condition we left early and were charged two month of lease break even though the house was leased immediately. read more

After selling my home of over 40 years and leaving the neighborhood I raised my children in, I was timid and a bit apprehensive about moving to a new town and living in an apartment. When I realized completing on-line forms was part of the prospect, that anxiety grew.  Even with the beautiful apartments and wonderful amenities, I wasn't sure I could make the move. Enter the wonder Highpoint Apartments team. They immediately welcomed me like family. Ms. Crayton, my rental agent and Janessa Gonzalez, Asst. Mgr. could not have been more helpful.  Janessa assisted me with filling out forms and even printed a copy for me.  Kaitlyn, the receptionist and Eric, another rental agt. answered every question  I had and even made me laugh. I was admittedly a little homesick and they always made me feel better. I think I saw them every a couple of days during my first few weeks. Anything I needed was taken care of promptly and efficiently. When my refrigerator needed adjustment it was done in a flash. Grab bars were added to my shower for my safety and security. (I was also recovering from surgery and they always checked on how I was feeling.). I've shared with them that the apartment could use some sound-proofing. I can hear my neighbors' conversations.  And even when they don't have a quick fix, their kindness and compassionate ear helps. First off, I'd like to point out that most of these reviews (poor) are from people that have NEVER moved in or were evicted because they most likely BROKE the rules, didn't pay rent, and/or were hazardous to the community. Some of the other reasons are most likely due to poor credit, lack of income, restricted pet breed, unavailable move-in times for their liking and/or pricing at times which fluctuates with availability like many apartment complexes around the area. I have lived here for over 2 years now along with many of my neighbors, each of which have had great experiences here. The move-in process was as easy and pleasant as any other apartment complex, AGAIN, when you are respectful and pleasant. If you are pleasant and respectful to others, then you'll see the same in return. It blew my mind when I noticed that this community had such low reviews, but then realized the points I mentioned earlier and the fact that a number of the residents that really enjoyed their time here did not write a review. All in all, the community is one of the best around in my opinion with some of the best amenities, maintenance staff, available/convenient parking and not to mention Washer/Dryer IN your apartment. People need to realize that it is APARTMENT living! If you never want to hear your neighbors then buy a detached single family in a quiet, abandoned neighborhood. The complex itself and building I live in is very quiet with some family's and a number of young working professionals. They just remodeled all of the hallways and building entry's along with some previous remodeling (brand new) done to the gym, game room, function room, pool/grill and fire pit area. They are incredible and the gym is unparalleled to any complex around the area. If you're considering renting an apartment from this complex I would highly recommend it. read more

We stayed at Highpoint Apartments on a month-to-month corporate lease while in between condos. I cannot emphasize how accommodating they were for our entire stay. What started as a one-month lease turned into a 3+ month stay because of construction delays. We worked with Lauren in the leasing office, and she was incredibly understanding and helpful. Due to construction delays on our new home, I ended up extending our lease by a few weeks on multiple occasions, and Lauren always managed to figure out a way for it to work out for us. The corporate month-to-month lease included everything - furniture, cable, internet, electric, gas, water. All one check each month. Very convenient. The facilities are clean and the outdoor areas are well-maintained. Nice new dog park. The pool looks inviting (although it closed after Labor Day weekend, so we never had the chance to use it). Plenty of parking. Easy access from 93. Never had issues with noise, neighbors, or safety concerns. read more

I lived in Highpoint for two years, in building 6. Pros: * Apartment was extremely spacious. We had a two-bedroom and there was tons of room with tons of storage. * Apartment had decent amenities. Not super brand-new or modern stuff, but all the appliances were nice and worked as intended and the apartment was clean. * Covered parking. There is a parking garage for people in building 6, which was very nice for the snowy winters. * Community space is all very nice and well-maintained. The insides of the buildings (lobby/hallways) have all been redone, and the area is very nicely landscaped and manicured. * Laundry in-unit. * Shuttle to the T station in the mornings and evenings is a nice touch. * Pet friendly! * Maintenance team is very quick to respond to issues and the maintenance people are very nice. * Package concierge makes it very easy to pick up packages even when the office staff isn't around. Cons: * Leasing Office staff is a little flaky. They are nice people, but I felt like they never had answers to any of my questions and TWICE they gave away our parking spot to another person and we had to spend days correcting the issue. One staff member would often tell us one thing and then another would directly contradict them later. Luckily, we didn't need to interact with the Leasing Office that much. * Amenities (pool and gym) cost an extra $35/month, otherwise you don't have access to those areas of the community. * Rent is a quite high, especially considering that a lot of nice buildings are going up in Quincy with better interiors/amenities/locations for the same price. In fact, we left because they were raising our rent by about $140/month, which was ridiculous. read more

This complex looks very nice in pictures online. When you drive into the grounds, things still look very nice, however, the apartments are quite cheap- laminate counters, old rugs. We saw two apartments and the first apartment was horrible! It was not yet cleaned, and when I say there was dirt, grime, and trash everywhere, I mean everywhere. The smell was horrendous! I could not even look around that apartment because I felt so dirty. The second apartment was nicer, cleanish, but definitely outdated. read more

Stay away from these people. Never in my entire life have I been mistreated at my home. The property manager Brian calabro was mad that I complained about the parking he had done nothing about it for a year except laugh in my face and harassed me. Then decided to make up miss representation and flat out lies in a statement to not renew my lease. Tried to throw me out with 1 week notice on thanksgiving day, by pure misrepresentation. When I contacted the management company Berkshire,they didn't care what I had to say. they didn't care if Mr. Calabro was lying. they have absolutely no integrity whatsoever I have hired an attorney to defend myself and I'm looking forward to it. stay far away from these people read more

Moved to Highpoint from Boston and love it! The amount of space you get here compared to the city is amazing and I love the amount of windows and sunshine I get. I pay a fraction of what I use to pay for garage parking too so I way better living situation here for less money. The gym just got an upgrade with amazing new treadmills that mirror your phone screen and it's open 24/7!! The office and maintenance team are all really nice too. Quick responses for all my work orders so far. It's a quick drive into the city and the red line is a mile away, so super glad I made the move! read more

Lets start with - We do have an awesome view... location is great for Quincy. Transportation is close and easily accessible. Neighbors.... Walls are paper thin... You can hear EVERYTHING. I mean everything.... things you don't want to hear & things that you should not hear. There are a lot of people who don't care to take care of the building... They let their animals go to the bathroom wherever they please on their way outside... elevators, carpets, hallways- you name it. Pool- Fun... rules - not enforced. Gym - Great looking - not very functional... old machines that are on the verge of breaking all together. Parking... good but do not park in the 15 minute for more than 15 because they are waiting to tow you. Office - very nice girls! Price- a bit expensive for what you're paying for... but reasonable for the location Tip: Good place to live if you're looking for a place to live for a year or 2... more than that would personally drive me crazy. For this reason I will not only tell you the issues that I have had since I move here but also some suggestions to make it better. How great is that!!!! 1. Sticky elevators and building entrance smell. Ever since I moved into 6 Highpoint I notice that there are more dogs in the building that I have expected. I was asked if I had any dogs when I was choosing an apartment and I said that I did not have any and was not planning to have any. After a while I found out that there are buildings without dogs. However mine was not one of those. I had the one if not where all dogs are, definitely the one where there is the biggest amount of dogs. I have nothing against dogs, but owners on my building have shown not to be the cleanest people around. Every day I get into a sticky elevator from the piss of all dogs that can't hold it. At many times you can also find blood from the female dogs in heat that seat around the elevator. Not pleasant at all. I hate the thought of bring in all that into my apartment. Figure 1Dog in heat Blood Solution: I believe pet owners pay some amount of money. This money should be used for other reasons other than for those the other tenants regular rent pay for. Like for cleaning up after this pets. If this is not enough to have the resources needed to keep living conditions for the rest of us humans, then maybe they should pay more for their pets. 2. Ice rocks all over my car, inside the garage. I believe that I must be paying a bit more for the security of having my car under the garage. Yesterday December 18th 2007 I found my car up to the windshield on hard Ice. It seems that the people removing ice from the second floor were not careful enough or did not know how to do their job. So they poured the ice without realizing that they were hitting my car. This was so bad that when I backed up my car the front grill emblem was ripped out of my car. Indoor garage is a need of mine since I want to have my car more secure. (Highpoint Selling point) Solution: Portable Trash Shute 3. Terrible Gym Airflow, I have mentioned before a few times that the gym airflow is important. At first there was no air at all. Once it was fixed, it was set it up for it to warm up if it went bellow 65. Let me explain one thing. 10 people working out in that amount of space breathing carbon monoxide is not a healthy thing. I have spoken about this issue at least 4 times. At night we need to open the GYM door and the building door hoping we can get some fresh air. It gets muggy, smells terrible and did I mention it's unhealthy? Leaving the gym at a set heat if over 65 setup, do not circulate air. As a matter of fact, if you have people working out the temperature just raises to an average of 69 to 70. Air temperature has nothing to do with fresh air flow. I am sure that a lot of people chose Highpoint for the Gym facilities to work as they are supposed to. (Highpoint Selling Point) Solution: It is very simple actually. a. Take fan out of auto mode, Leave the fan on "Fan ON" mode b. Keep on heat if under 65 4. Packages I believe that you guys have my email address correct because I was notified once. However, I have not been notified ever again. I am obligated to stop by the office once in a while just to see if I have packages. (Highpoint Selling Point) Solution: I believe you have the process in place. It's just practice not happening. With this, I will like to end my letter by turning this into my notice letter. I will start looking for a place to move. As soon as my contract ends I will be on a month to month basis if I haven't found another place to move. I would stress NOTHING MORE than to tell people never to move here. Sex and fights. We have the noisiest neighbors in the world. Weve complained a few times of the 2am sex sessions or blowout fights (that bring the police at least once a month), but that did nothing. The psycho couple is still here terroising the building 8. Luckily, we dont have an impressionable kid, because they would learn ALOT of foul langauge. Ever have packages delivered? I recommend having them sent to work, because the people who work in the office will lose it and blame anyone else. This happened to a couple of our things that UPS has signitures (and names) for. Like taking Showers? Hope your bald, because you'll get 5 minutes of hot water. The water heaters are TINY!!!! Water Bills?!?! What' We have to pay all of a sudden?? and its HOW MUCH?? Yeah, I'm pretty sure we're paying for watering the lawn when its pouring down rain, because there is no way we can do $50 a month in water with our 5 minute showers. Parking. We never have a problem finding a spot, as we park in the garage. Too bad the garage dgate never opens and cars keep getting broken into in their. Highpoint sent out a letter blaming the community, so dont let them tell you that your moving to a safe area. We actually saw some guy creaping around the cars in a hoodie (in 80 degrees) and informed the office and they said it was probably just some resident. Did I mention an extreamly rude staff' My Husband and I were away on our honeymoon and my friend was house sitting for us and left the lights on in the car, killing the battery. It happens. Highpoint wouldnt even recommend anyone who she could call. She had to take a cab to the bank then pay $200 to get the car jumped because no one in the building would jump it for her. Nice neighbors. Hope you never use the phone, because you cant even stand on the roof of the garage and get service... its no where to be found, on ANY cell phone service. Ok, there are a few good points. The apartment is dog friendly, which is tough to find. Besides looking like a prison, the grounds are always manicures (am I paying for 24/7 lawn care''!'!) read more

My husband and I lived at Highpoint for one year, and moved out as soon as our lease expired. Actually, that's not true; we moved out one month before our lease expired, continuing to pay the final rent, just to get the hell out of there ASAP. Some of the main issues we had included: Management is terrible -- apathetic and detached to the point of listless. They are generally completely useless. The office is open from 9-5, and most people who have jobs are not able to stop by during those inconvenient hours. This is especially a headache when you have a package delivered, as it is delivered to the office. I leave for work before 8:00 AM and arrive home around 7:00 PM. This is frustrating, not being able to access the office after 5:00 PM, especially if you have a notice from UPS or Fed Ex in your mailbox. The office will hold your package for ransom until you are able to find the time to stop by, which for me was only on the weekends, unfortunately. Beware getting locked out after 5:00 PM; there is no one available to help, so you'll be shelling out a couple of hundred dollars for a locksmith -- after which Highpoint management will then give you a hard time for hiring your own locksmith to "tamper" with their property, even though they do not have service available after hours. Vandalism in the parking lot was a very big problem. Our neighbor had all four wheels stolen from his car while it was parked in the garage overnight. (Yes, all four WHEELS.) Two other cars had their doors stolen. Other cars had been scratched, keyed, windows broken, etc. My husband and I returned home during a city-wide power outage, and discovered that a) we could not enter the building with our key cards, as it is electronic, and b) we could not get our car out of the garage, as that too is dependent on the power. Good thing the building wasn't on fire; we wouldn't be driving out of there. The residents were, on the whole, filthy and lazy. Highpoint advertises itself as upscale living that targets young professionals; however, we found that the majority of our neighbors were either elderly and very, very cranky, or young college kids using Highpoint as an alternative to dorm life. Many of the units at Highpoint are leased by college kids whose parents pay their rent. Just about every night, I would get home to find that the front lobby reeked of garbage, usually because someone has abandoned their garbage there. On several occasions, I had to avoid piles of dog feces to reach my mailbox. When I would walk to the trash chute, the room was always either a revolting mess (broken trash bags discarded on the floor, trash everywhere) or the chute was backed up and overflowing. Many times I walked in and nearly stepped in a pool of rotting, liquid trash. Some of my neighbors were simply too busy or lazy to walk to the chute, so instead they leave their trash in the hall by their doors. Management would not respond to any of those issues for days, even weeks at a time. NONE of our favorite restaurants would deliver because the second the driver got out of his car, they were harassed by security. One time, a delivery driver actually came into the building, and his car was promptly towed. The pool was staffed by a young lifeguard who was either sleeping (yes, fast asleep) or too busy flirting with teenage girls to notice any trouble in the pool. The gym is incredibly convenient, but so small that it's almost always at capacity. The computer room is always filled with college kids or young children playing Webkinz, and the common room is always in use by children and Disney movies. When people say the walls are thin, they're not exaggerating. You can literally hear your neighbors get up, walk to the bathroom, do what they need to do, and walk back. The construction is beyond shoddy and cheap. I accidentally knocked my vacuum over, one week after moving into the building. It hit my bedroom door and WENT STRAIGHT THROUGH IT. For nearly $2,000 a month, I expect more than that. Everything is incredibly cheap, and it doesn't take long to notice. The day we moved in, our garbage disposal was not working, and one of the toilets was backed up. It should have been a warning. It took FOUR trips from maintenance for everything to work correctly, and within a month, they were back again for the disposal. This became a regular occurrence, calling maintenance. Things were constantly breaking down, from the thermostat to the plumbing. When we originally toured the complex, the model unit we saw featured a very nice bar/counter top over the sink. We asked if we would have the same, were told yes, and purchased breakfast bar stools for it. When we moved in, we did NOT have that counter top. We had nothing. We complained, and then had to wait 6 months for installation. The whole place is just terrible and overpriced. Avoid at all costs. read more

Brian is amazing and readily helpful and wonderful office staffs too only grievance is that most of the pet owners don't clean up after the pets, the management can only do that much! **PSA; We (my boyfriend and I) were prospective tenants however, we decided to withdraw our application after a week We ended up at this property by driving through the neighborhood. We originally checked out Eaves down the street (shout out to Peter for his great hospitality and customer service). We went inside the leasing office and spoke with Mike. He showed us the vacant units and also showed us around the property. We were definitely wow'd at how the property looked and felt like a Hotel. After our tour, we went back to the office and was told to go online to fill out the application and to pay the rekey fee of $150 to take the unit off the market. We did that after leaving the office, which was Saturday, Oct. 14th. After we processed our application online and paid the rekey fee of $150 then we received an e-mail from their system/program that our application was approved (hooray!) on the following Monday the 16th. And also an e-mail from Blue Moon E-Signature sent an e-mail that a document was ready to sign. Signed in and was like great, the lease is already on there! We were ecstatic we didn't have to do a deposit prior move in (because who enjoys waiting for the refund at the end of lease?). We reviewed the lease agreement, signed and sent it off back to them. Here's the twist and annoying part of this entire thing that caused us to step back and think if we should live in such a disorganized and disoriented system and management. Half hour after receiving the e-mails from their from RentCafe (their resident portal/applicant site), we received another e-mail from Mike, our leasing consultant, stated to keep a look out for the welcome letter. Another e-mail comes through of our next steps in completing the process. We submitted the required documents, verification of income,etc. A couple hours past by, I received the welcome letter. The welcome letter included what is required to be submitted and due at time of move in. The not-so-surprising indication of them slipping a deposit fee on the welcome letter and when the lease we received did not have it listed other than the prorated amount. As previously rented before, I know lease agreements are as they are when you receive them and cannot change it once we had already signed it. I e-mailed Mike back about the welcome letter vs the lease agreement we received from their e-mail/system-- somehow he had the audacity to inquire if I, the applicant was able to generate an incorrect lease through a button on their company website. How on earth, would an applicant be able to generate a lease let alone, generate an incorrect lease? I requested if their manager can reach out to me because he was not able to tell me how I supposedly received an incorrect lease that was sent from their system/program/e-mail. Brian, their property manager, called me after I reached out to them a 2nd time about it. It seems, he too, did not know how a hoax lease was generated and sent out to their applicant (me) but also asked me if I had pushed a button on their site that generates the lease I received. After I repeatedly said no, and how would an applicant be able to do that, he did not have an answer but persistent the lease agreement I received was incorrect and Mike would be sending the corrected one shortly. He stated the lease agreement I received is completely different since it's only 6 pages that they received vs their 32 pages. However, after receiving the "corrected" lease, all they did was add the deposit fee and amenity fee (that the applicants are able to opt in/out for) which was the EXACT lease agreement but just attached the 26 pages of the addendum. The lease agreement itself is 6 pages, which is what we initially received but they had taken that agreement back. One thing management and their leasing consultants can do to avoid such hassle and confusion from potential residents of "incorrect" leases being e-mailed is to probably sit down at their desk WITH the applicants and go over the application-- since I'm sure that's what their leasing office is for. After carefully and thoroughly thinking over our decision, we decided to withdraw our application due to their disorganized and disoriented system. If they cannot figure that out, what makes a potential resident think they are able to resolve other issues and make sure their client/resident is well informed and not misled with information? I sent the e-mail of withdrawing our app due to the fact we were misguided with their leasing agreements itself, 2 different prices. If the original agreement had the deposit listed, without doing it in a shady way, we would have processed and moved in. However, they informed me the rekey $150 is not refundable if the applicant cancels; even if it is their mistake and business that altered the decision of misguided information. Save the hassle and I recommend the Eaves or Avalon right down the block, their hospitality and management are superb! ;) read more

People may have mixed reviews but if any issues and reported in time I have seen very quick service in apt and Property Manager Brian is excellent to listen and resolve problems . I lived at Highpoint Apartments for a little over year and absolutely loved it. The amenities are amazing - the pool was awesome in the summer! I have a dog and he loved the dog park and the sprawling green spaces. We didn't have many issues with our amenities, but when our fridge started acting up, Highpoint immediately replaced it. The walls are well insulated and we didn't have any problems with noise complaints, etc. I lived with a roommate in a 2 bed 2 bath unit and it was perfect because these apartments have double master bedrooms - we didn't need to fight over who got what room! I only moved out because I ended up buying a place in Boston. I highly recommend Highpoint to anyone looking for reasonably priced luxury living in the Boston area. read more

Hi, I am a resident here since two years and about to move next month. The reason why I chose this place was because of its location and distance to my work. If you don't own a car their shuttle system is an amazing option to your commute. It drops you off at the Quincy T-station and pick you up. However only during the peak morning and evening hours. The apartment complexes are clean and well maintained and the management staff is always available to handle any in house requests. A 24 hour hotline is available for maintenance request and security. If you like to workout they have a pretty up to date gym, game room, movie room, and pool on the summer. Enjoying a BBQ on a sunny day are additional perks. Yet the only criticism as a resident is the parking situation. And be are of the towing company- bathe are serious issues here. As a resident you arwveither assigned a parking spot in the garage ( which is what you should request), or you can park on any free guest parking spots or the top of the garage. Any other parking spots near the buildings are only for residents with stickers, which I have myself. My car was towed because my sticker wasn't visible/ not existing. Yet, after explaining to the towing company as well as the management that it was there before and it must have been removed by accident by my local oil change company the day before, the towing company refused to waive my fees. I called the management and explained myself and asked him if he could call and voice for me that I am a resident and I had a sticker before. The manager at the management office made to my opinion a half-encouraging attempt to talk to the towing personal. Stating to me that he really doesn't like to get involved in towing issues like these since Highpoint has a contract with them since years. He repeated my issue to them and that's where his efforts ended. I would have liked to see a more enthusiastic effort from a management team especially because these monthly rental fees here at Highpoint aren't cheap and I am after all a resident. Clearly to me a very disappointing experience and l shows by far a lack of customer service! read more

Highpoint isn't too great at all. Walls were pretty thin and I could hear absolutely everything my neighbors were saying, not too good to hear at night especially. The gym is very limited in size and is disappointing. The package system is pretty goofy, you need to pick up a package at the clubhouse and not in your building, the clubhouse is only open at very inconvenient times for someone who works from 6 to 8. Overall HighPoint Circle has a very overpriced rent that didn't really feel too worth it at all. I've lived in cheaper apartments that had better quality than this. read more

I have given positive rector Highpoint in the past I have lived here for 8 years. Over the last year I have zero positive words, communication is non existent from the office staff, grounds are disgusting, things break and are not fixed, when disability accommodations are requested they are denied, during this time of crisis they have major construction going on to a point where one can not have a phone conversation and show zero concerns for this. If you have another option I'd recommend looking elsewhere to lease which breaks my hear as I used to live where I live and feel extremely supported in this community. read more

I wish zero stars was an option here. The property is beautiful, and the location is good for a commuter, but I have had nothing but problems with this place. My boyfriend and I filled out an application for an apartment back in June. I wrote a $150 check for the application fee, which they told me was required. The move in date was August 17th. (which was great because my current lease was up on Sept 1st, giving us time to move in). They called us about an hour later saying they made a mistake, and quoted us an apartment in a pet-free building. (we have a cat). They said the next available pet-friendly apartment was not available until 9/8. This essentially leaves us homeless for the week between leases. She told me that the new apartment was on the 7th floor, and was more expensive because it had a better view, but because it was their mistake, she would waive the application fee and keep the rent what she originally quoted us. ($1406 vs. the normal rent of $1573) The $150 I already paid would go towards the re-key fee, also required. Since they were clearly trying to work with us, and we'd end up getting a nicer apartment for the same price, we agreed. Over a week went by, and I didn't hear anything. I called two times with no answer, and sent an email following up. Someone responded to my email telling me all they needed was to know what security deposit option I would like (they offer 2), and they can send out the lease. I responded with the info, and told my current landlord we would not be renewing our lease. That was July 7th. On Wednesday (25th), I had STILL not received the lease. I wrote again checking in, and they emailed it to me immediately. The lease term was wrong, as was the security deposit amount. I also noticed that the apartment number was 210, which to me suggested the 2nd floor. They confirmed that it was indeed a second floor apartment facing the cul-de-sac entrance of the complex. My boyfriend is a reporter, and often works from home. We currently live on the 2nd floor of an apartment building and the noise during the day (from trash pickup, truck deliveries, etc) is sometimes too loud for him to be able to work, and one of the reasons we are moving. Had we known this, we would have walked away from the beginning. I went up the chain to the property manager and spoke with him. He said he wanted to make me feel comfortable and wanted to help. After a lot of back and forth, he basically said all he could do was waive the pet fee ($35/month) for me, and the higher level apartments were out of my price range. I should also note that the lease had multiple errors and typos. They 'corrected' this lease three times, and there were still errors! Some repeat errors, some brand new. Does not give me much confidence in a place. I explained that I was quoted $1406 for not one, but two higher level apartments, and send these quotes. He told me he could not honor these amounts. I politely requested my deposit back, and he said no, on grounds that they held the apartment for me for over 72 hours. Mind you, this is despite the fact that the until I was supposed to move into changed twice. So, to recap: Looked at the place fell in love with it. signed an application for 4th floor unit, paid $150. Was told later that day that the apartment is actually not available due to us having a cat (which they knew at the time of signing the application), we would have to move 3 weeks later to a 7th floor apartment Over a month goes by, and I get the lease (that was previously requested twice) that not only has multiple errors, but lists a different unit than I was promised. Property manager (Brian by the way) unwilling to honor original quotes and put me in a higher level apartment, and refuses to refund my deposit, claiming it was held for me for over 72 hours. There will be reports filed with consumer protection agencies shortly, but I wanted to start here to alert as many potential residents as possible. Gorgeous property, but incredibly untrustworthy management. It is also interesting to note that the building manager also managed Bayberry Hills Apartments in Framingham. First, I am not a tenant of Highpoint. Secondly, My experience w/them is during the application process trying to become a tenant. We applied on a Tuesday and put the required $750 down to hold the exact apartment we wanted as well as all the necessary info. The agent Alison B.was then out for the next 6-7 days (combo alot of sick days, vacation, sunday, etc). I had to email mgmt. Julie M. and Property Mgr Brian C. repeatedly as we were passing the 72 hour "no refund" of deposit clause. Finally, 8 days after applying we were able to get them to agree to refund our deposit. The kicker---they take 1 min to take it out and UP TO 30 days to return it to you via snail mail check. If you provide them w/a deposit and want it back it will take a VERY LONG TIME to get it. Do not be counting on that money for another rental. The other issue I have- it should not have take 8 days to get a decision. If I didn't follow up daily I would have never known that Alison was even out. We applied to Liberty Part apartments in Braintree and received an answer in less than 24 hours. Much better experience!!! The other feedback I read on Yelp seems to be right on- when we talked to a rep at Highpoint his cell phone would always cut in/out and seemed to have NO reception inside the buildings. If you are moving to this complex and use a cell phone- check it out when touring the apartment. We did notice lots of dog feces laying around the grounds and some pee inside the building on the carpet. read more

Although the apartment is very spacious, views are decent, amenities such as the pool are and gym. I would consider sparking to some people that live/rent there before making decision to move in. For the price I've found there were many other options for the money. You should expect to pay somewhere around $2700.00 for a 2 bedroom with electric cable and didn't even realize they pass on the water/sewer bill as well. On the flip side if you like animals and don't mind the money it's great. read more
