    Fish and chips

We stopped here today to grab a bite and a beer!!! They were kinda busy but we were in no hurry!! We ordered the cauliflower bites and fish and chips and 2 Beach Blonde Beers! Honestly it was not bad! We sat outside on their patio and the vibe and weather were perfect! Food was a little greasy but we still enjoyed it! We actually ate everything and ordered 2 more beers! So if you're looking for a super fancy place this probably isn't the place but we definitely enjoyed it!!!

Love, love, love this place! Tom's stout is good but not great. The reason to visit is the blue cheese burger and pulled pork sammich! They are both delish as most of the food is locally sourced. Michael, their host, has the best job. Chat with customers and drink beer . My friend and I talked with Michael over lunch about a month ago. Helluva nice guy with great information about the place, surroundings, and life in general. The only bummer about this place is their limited days and hours (glad they just started opening on Thursdays so it is now Thursday through Sunday). I know the reason; just wish I could eat and drink there more frequently. Highway 1 Brewing is another every time in Pescadero stop. Eat and drink in their backyard bier garten. Even when windy (which is frequent on the coast) it's generally warm and sunny in the bier garten.

Grilled local cod fish tacos. Mmmmmm!

Met up with a buddy yesterday and went for a motorcycle ride down the coast. We found ourselves at Hwy 1 Brewing Co. in need of food, beverages and gas so we stopped in. The coastal June gloom weather was starting to clear and the temperature was actually perfect. Not too many people there when we arrived, but the back beer garden filled up as we sat and enjoyed our food and beer. I had the fish tacos which are made with local, line caught cod that is grilled perfectly. 3 tacos per order with cabbage, salsa, lime and the sauce is tasty. Comes with a side of chips too. Really delicious. I washed it down with the Ocean Breeze Tropical IPA which was also delicious. Not sure why this place isn't rated higher? The layout is great with ample indoor and outdoor seating, bathrooms are clean, back beer garden is awesome, staff is very friendly and fast and the food and beer is really tasty. Prices are fair as well. If you're looking for a coastal destination to hang out with friends, enjoy some good food and house-brewed beers, set your GPS for this place and escape the urban jungle for a day.

So glad this place is still going strong. The bbq is scrumptious, the brews are just as, the location is second to none and the staff/service is absolutely top notch. Cheers all!

Saw this place while driving the one and I'm so glad we stopped. What's better than enjoying a beer while sitting in front of a view of the ocean? Everyone was super friendly and you can tell there's a strong local following. Food was yummy too and I appreciate that they change the menu up often. Can't wait to come back!

We were looking for a spot for light snacks and refreshments on highway 1. Decided to stop here and it's a gem. They have indoor seating, a small area in the front, but the gem is the rustic chic back garden. As for food, we ordered the lightly salted fries and buffalo wings. We really liked the fries. They were thick cut, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The wings were on the smaller side, but tasty. As for brews, we ordered the tropical ipa and stout. The ipa was refreshing and fruity without a strong bit and the stout was cream and smooth. Decent selection for a small place, personal wish is a couple of more stouts and/or porter.

Excellent food and try their Kitty Paws beer! Great music provided by Herb Toor blues band. And the weather was excellent. Lots of people sitting outside. The Service was phenomenal.

We were visiting during full lockdown so there was no outdoor seating. We had to order out front and then stand around waiting for our food and beer to be brought out to us. None of this was ideal for the business or for the customer. We had previewed the menu online and went in knowing what we were planning to order. That didn't work out because the menu had changed. We really wanted fish and chips. They were not serving fish and chips. This led to a last-minute scramble to find alternatives. We ended up getting beyond burgers for three of us and clam chowder for one person. We also had some confusion over the beer. We had been handed a menu while we waited in line. We thought we had our beer order ready. It all made for a frustrating experience. Once we got our food, it was fine. The beyond burger was about what I normally expect. The fries were good. My son enjoyed the clam chowder. Overall, it wasn't a great experience but nothing was normal during that visit. We will be in the area again and I'll give them another try during non-COVID lockdown times.

    Hidden gem?

Greek salad was legit. Chicken wings pretty sure from local chicken coop. Friendly bartender. Look at the ambiance!!

This place had certificates on the wall. They have craft beer and some gastro food like specialty hot dogs, french fries, tots, burger, fish and chips, and chicken sandwich. It was a nice outing with a group. They had a big meal. I snacked on french fries...more and more french fries. The tots were fun until I wanted to watch my diet. I didn't try the beer and I took one home for dad. It's fun in Pescadero. The lady at the place was really nice and talkative.

We didn't expect much in this area because we were coming from the somewhat industrial looking side, but decided we wanted to look for a brewery. We googled and ended up trying this place out. Because of the weather, we didn't think there would be anyone else in here and didn't have super high hopes. We were so wrong! When we entered, there was a duo playing live music. They were enjoyable to listen to. There were also quite a few people in there of all ages and seemingly, different walks of life--always a fun thing to see. I ordered a flight and every beer on it was nice and crispy cold--the only way to enjoy beer in my opinion. And the flavors of every one were so impressive. We both love beer and are very impartial to our own local breweries in the town we live in--but coming here made me wish this was in our town! My husband ordered a pint of Sea Wolf and he really enjoyed that. I had the Love Boat on my flight which sounded intriguing to me. It was SO GOOD. It was an ill Ali eery and graham cracker sour. I'm not always a sour lover, but it was the perfect balance. I would say that and the Sea Wolf were my favorites. The gal working, Lauren, was incredibly sweet. We asked for some local suggestions of places she liked for food, drinks, etc. and she was really helpful--gave us lots of great insight. She also chatted with us about her dog and ours...overall just really cool vibes. This will definitely be a go-to spot on all our future visits to the HMB area!

There are a few tables outside but most of the seating was inside. There's a ramp for those who cannot go up steps to the main dining area. We were seated right away. The ambiance felt like a new restaurant - a little stark and has that newish vibe. We ordered some chicken tenders, Grilled Caesar salad with chicken ( added the protein) and protein style burger - swapped out the fries for broccoli. The tenders and salad were good. The burger was a little disappointing. Very few restaurants handle protein style (without the bun) well. The burger came with some sliced pieces of lettuce on top and bottom instead of wrapped around the burger so it was difficult to eat it as a burger. There was sautéed onions on the burger which tasted great and saved the burger, imo. The burger itself was very bland the broccoli was just blanched and not steamed so you're basically getting somewhat raw broccoli with no flavor whatsoever. We also tried the raspberry ale. My husband said the raspberry flavor was just too overpowering in the taste profile. Service was relatively good.

I loved the skinny fries in the Burrata Poutine and the concept of the dish sounded fantastic. However, the execution could've been better - the gravy wasn't my favorite and I wish there was more burrata on the big pile of fries.
