If you want a landscaper that will complete demo, irrigation, concrete walkways, spread gravel and install drains and get it done in less than a week, New Valley landscaping is a good choice. The photo, taken in October when the work was completed, shows the front yard after the work was complete. However, if you want a landscaper that will stand behind their work 4 months later when issues appear, NV is not the company for that. Recently, I noticed that one of the plants we purchased and NV planted and routed an irrigation line, is now withering. See photo. Clearly the plant on the left is not getting adequate water. I reached out to New Valley about the issue. The text message response received is provided below: " When we finish the job everything was working fine. Fixing the drip is something that every gardener can do. Right now we are very busy working in Poway. If you wanted to get it fix you can let you gardener as well in pretty sure he can get it fix too. If you like to write a review it's fine with us, but all we can say is that thanks to God we have been so bless with this business that our customers know. Thanks and God bless you !" During the course of the work performed there were a couple of "extras" I requested for which he did request payment. I gave NV a little extra for added small tasks. So having paid them for the entire job including the extras, this response was unexpected and quite disappointing. NV's idea of customer service is to pass the buck to someone else to fix issues associated with work they did. And as soon as someone else other than NV touches the irrigation system, that will leave the door open for NV to deny responsibility for other issues by claiming that someone else worked on the system and they can't be held responsible. That is not my idea of good customer service. So, if you want customer service after the point of sale, keep looking. NV is not the company for service after the sale. I seriously doubt that the growth of NV's business came about by treating customers this way. "We're busy" is an unacceptable cop out for a response. Inasmuch as NV has taken this approach with me, it will be interesting to see how they respond to the CA board of contractors for the manner in which they operate. NVmay not be as successful in blowing them off. read more

Very friendly, responsive, and very competitively priced. New Valley Landscaping really transformed our yard and it was a wonderful investment. We had unfortunately let our front and back yards go. Weeds everywhere, things were falling apart, the lawn was ugly. We wanted to do some drought tolerant landscaping for a while but we were concerned about the price. We had obtained quotes from many different companies, and New Valley was well priced and instilled a lot of confidence. We already had a design in mind, so New Valley gave us the man power to to bring our vision to reality. I'm not sure if they provide design services, but I do suggest paying for a professional design. They get plants from Village Nursery. We went to the nursery ourselves to pick what types of plants we wanted. The plants that did arrive were not in great shape initially (this is not New Valley's fault since it was the nursery who picked the plants to deliver over), but they were revived when planted. I wish I could have picked the specific plant we wanted myself. I would ask if that is possible. I would have been able to pick plants that were in better shape. New Valley really went above and beyond. We are so happy with our landscaping. They worked through the hot sun and finished before the estimated end time. Our yard is pretty large, and everything was done in less than 2 weeks. The other companies we obtained quotes from all estimated 4-6 weeks! They also helped us save money. We had gotten rid of a bunch of pavers in the back yard. But instead of charging us for a border for the front yard, they just reused the pavers as the borders instead. They are professional and easy to communicate with. You can also change any design choices on the spot. Don't hesitate! Ask them for a quote. You won't regret it! read more
