Highly recommend branded burger. I went during the week and it wasn't very busy and I was shocked. The staff is very sweet and the inside of the restaurant reminded me of an old burger place - which I loved. The food was amazing! Definitely one of the best burgers that I have had since moving to Midlothian! We will definitely be coming back to this location in future! Side of onion rings (1/2 order due to kids meal, $2 more to upgrade to full size). Kid's drink (craft sodas), black cherry and root beer are my faves. Ok... Branded was so good I had to come back twice during the week. It's easy to order at the counter and there is plenty of seating inside. The decor is fun and I felt right at home. The food was ready pretty fast both nights and I was blown away. The burgers were amazing! I had the Shroom Burger the first night and the Mak Daddy the next night. The meat on both of them was seasoned well and the toppings were fresh and flavorful! The buns were perfectly toasted. These might be in my top 5 burger list now! My friends and I do a craft retreat every 6 months and we happened to come to this place on a weekend night. The place was hopping. We were informed our food would take 30 mins. It was worth the wait. It was amazing. Generally, I don't eat burgers. I prefer hot dogs. But the aroma of the burgers cooking up fresh on the grill made me order a burger. It did not disappoint. As one of Midlothian's most popular burger joints, Branded Burger was a fairly easy sell for me given how barbeque and burgers tend to run this town (#1). They've grown into a solid local chain with locations in other cities, but this location is where it all began. I like what they've done with their relatively small'ish interior. The decor has incorporated a slew of reused auto parts from car doors to license plates, giving the place an industrial yet sustainable vibe. It's not super big but comfortable enough for a small group. Instead of going outright for just a burger, my group and I decided to go all in and order a number of items ranging from chicken fingers to their mini corn dogs and of course, their burgers. The hollywood burger had some promise since it was loaded with grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, bacon, and pepper jack cheese. It was hearty, despite being a tad greasy and salty. I really like brand on the bun, which makes the food photos at least a little more memorable. Salty was the theme with the fries and the chicken fingers as well. My dining companions noted that their burgers and wings were sort of in the same boat. I don't mind a little salt, but I do mind the fact some of the items were super dry. The mini corn dogs are fun for the youngins and the finger food work well as hangover food. The hard dings would be as a result of the service. The staff has been a little slower than I'd like, which includes dine-in and takeout. They have the option to order online but for a $1 fee. We wanted to try this place even though the reviews were just so so. I have to agree. Good selection to choose from but my burger was dry and not seasoned well. Hubby got the Smokey bull burger which he said was good. Maybe the more stuff you get on the burger the better it is. Tried the fried jalapeños which were just frozen and deep fried. First time visit to branded burger. Interior has a rustic vibe and there is plenty of seating. They actually have two different seating sections, one close to the bar and the other close to the cook. From what I could tell the food was made to order. My husband had the steak burger and enjoyed his meal. Fries were pretty standard, I'd probably try the onion rings if I made a second visit. I went with a chicken sandwich but it was super salty and I couldn't finish it. I found myself drowning the sandwich in ranch to try to kill some of the saltiness. read more

First time Good experience Sits on the corner, looks kinda small but has lots of seating. I like that this place is separated into a dining area (quieter for the family) and bar area. Interesting soda options, but they do not have Coke. Food came out quicker than expected (as the menu warns ya to be patient due to everything being made to order). Burger was delicious; hot, juicy and seasoned just right. My hubby and I had the Jelly Belly (don't really understand the name...I'll have to ask next time we are there). It's a slippery one because of all the goodies inside, but I don't mind eating with my fingers We also both love onion rings. They were okay. I prefer a thicker onion and a thinner batter, but that's just my preference. To each their own. They were a bit too salty for me....so I peeled off a lot of the batter. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and will try this place again. *the only reasons I took away one star: 1. It wasn't busy, but lots of tables not bussed, mostly on the bar side. I have been going to the Midlothian store for several years. Once a week alone or up to 3 others. Love their burgers & onion rings! I have an issue with the heavy set cook with a beard. He cooks a mean burger but should never interface with a customer. Poor people skills, seems angry with the world. Here is just one story: My last visit I got my usual order ($18.00). The cup of ranch dressing for my onion rings was only 1/4 full and I ran out before I finished my lunch. No problem, I went to the counter for a bit more, patiently waiting for the cashier to finish order so could ask for more. Big boy came from the grill asking what I needed. I asked for additional dressing for my rings. He said I had to get in line and pay 60 cents for more. He then turned dismissively returning to the grill not giving me a chance to explain my portion was only 1/4 full. Well I did not want to get in line to pay while my food went cold. Finished and left, too mad to respond. He could have given me time to explain or given me one asking me to pay on way out. Not sure if I will return. read more

I wanted to give a five star rating, but the cashier, Cecila, made us, party of nine, want to leave. She was very short, impatient, and inattentive. I loved the vintage garage style. We went to Branded Burger in Midlothian today for lunch. This is the worst burger that I've had from any restaurant in a while. There were only a few customers there when we ordered and the wait for our burgers was long. Way too long considering there were so few customers there. The onion rings were a little over-cooked which made the breading too hard and our hamburger buns were burned. Because of the buns being burned, the taste of the burger was terrible. I showed them the burned buns and they asked me if I wanted them to replace the bun. I let them do that. When I showed them my burger bun at the counter, they had 4 more buns ready to build burgers and every one of them were burned like mine. The bill for 2 was over $33.00. They also charge a fee to grill the onions. You'v got to be kidding me! And, on top of that, they charge a "customer convenience fee" to use a credit card. They lost me as a customer today. Actually have great food. Burgers,fries, Onion rings and fried pies. All great. No complaints on the food. The problem is on a couple of times, I have ordered online(money out of my account, confirmation email received) only to arrive at the restaurant to be told they didn't have any online orders at all. Today was the third time! Today the gentleman behind the counter was rude and acted like I was the one mistaken. I had showed them the order. It was the lunch rush so If I had stayed and ordered, it was gonna be around 20 mins or more to get my food. $35 out of my account. Left and as I was getting in my car, I got a text stating the restaurant had canceled my order and it would be refunded in 5-7days. Went back in, showed it to another employee. She said, "yeah he was just back here and we saw that." No apologies no how can we help more like don't let the door hit ya. So moral of the story is call in your Togo orders- oh wait- you cant- the phone tells you to use the app. Guess I will go to the other burger place in town. Too bad.
