Management is very cool and the cook was very helpful. These had the Cajun seasoning on there and I loved it. I was be back for sure. It's hard to find a good Cajun seasoning for wings. It was on my wings and fries so I was hype.

I'm showing grace because the restaurant has only been open three days, but I have to keep it real. Sigh... The young lady who took our order was very timid and we had a difficult time hearing her over the music. Speaking of, they play uncensored hip hop which is cool for adults, not so much for small kids...who would frequent such an establishment. I thought this was odd. It took about an hour for our food, and there were no mistakes with what we ordered. The wings were hard and chewy. We could not eat them. The fries were good, and the burgers were ok. This place most certainly did not live up to the insta-hype. I'm suspecting that the blogger I follow was paid because ain't no way this is "one of the best burgers in DFW." Be warned, this is not an eat-in restaurant. There is a counter against the window, but not where you would want to dine with the crowd. Perhaps they are just understaffed and overworked due to the blogger's recommendation.

We tried the Mikkey Hamburger and Mikkey Cheeseburger. The meat was seasoned well. These are simplistic burgers so nothing fancy about them. Overall they were decent. I do disagree with the burgers not automatically coming with fries for the price. The fries on the other hand were not. They tasted old and overcooked. Also they didn't even make it out the door before they were cold. I was excited because they appear to be hand cut but they didn't taste like it. We also had an Oreo shake which was good. I think with a few improvements to the fries, the rating could be better. The service was efficient and the food did come out within reason.

The burger was very good and the buttered/grilled buns completed it. The hot butter lemon pepper wings on the other hand did not have enough sauce or lemon pepper. My order came out pretty fast. The cashier and cook that brought out my food were both great and had smiling faces. Even though the restroom was out of order the place had good music and would recommend others to try it out.

Fries were cold no salt but sugar on my fries that's kinda weird

Burger was suppose to have cheese and bacon it has neither. That environment was good but food is poor won't be returning again.

Food is terrible and service was slow. Way too overhyped on social media. Not everything is what it appears to be. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The smoke from the kitchen basically consumed the dining area and was very irritating. It eventually dissipated after a while, but I wouldn't recommend infants in this environment. After our party was seated, it took 15-20 min before our waiter greeted us and provided water; that was a bit annoying. After we got our orders in, things were smooth sailing from there. We were a large party and our waiter did a pretty good job at managing us and all of our requests. Food: they do not waste time bringing the food out. Most of our orders came out within 10 minutes! I ordered the Short Rib (unfortunately not pictured). It was hot, tender, and seasoned well....very good. It came on a bed of rice and some type of sauce. I was not a fan of either. The rice seemed uncooked and the sauce was too much and very liquid. It drowned the rice and practically made it soupy. I would have been fine with just the short rib. I also ordered a side of black eyed peas... also not a fan. It was undercooked and I didn't love whatever seasoning was used to prepare it. Other items I tried: Fries, Cornbread, Yams, and Soul Rolls. These were all tasty, specifically the soul roll. It came out crispy, hot, and stuff proportionately. I could take every bit of what was inside. It's definitely a must try.

The service was excellent, the smoky dry ice upon arrival was a hit along with the warm towels to clean our hands. The chef even walked around greeting guests. The restaurants decor is classic cotton club era, cute and classy but also has tvs mounted playing classic shows. The ambiance is casual. The menu prices could be adjusted downward but it was a nice experience. I'd recommend if you're in the mood for soul food. The sweet potato cornbread was the best!
