I then took them to another jewelry shop and they sent me to Hilderbrand Jewelers. When I brought my watches in the gentleman who greeted me took my watches to the back for evaluation. In a very short time, he came back and told me that both watches could be repaired for $25 each. They just needed to order the parts. I was SO happy!!! My watches were ready in just under a week and I couldn't be more pleased!!! I will take all my watch repair needs to Hilderbrand Jewelers in the future. They also had beautiful jewelry! It's really important to understand why Yelp does this, and why a customer should be careful when considering these reviews. When so many positive reviews share the same theme ("Oh My God, ELEVENTY ONE, thi$ place is THE BOMB, YO!"), and have reviewers who have only left one, but no more than three positive reviews for other companies (making Austin Cash 4 Gold their one and only transaction... EVER. ANYWHERE.), Yelp becomes HIGHLY suspect. There are a LOT of places, out there, where services like this can be purchased (Fiver, Ebay, etc.), where a company (say Austin Cash 4 Gold) hires someone to run a program called a bot to create hundreds of unique Yelp users (registered and everything) who'll then put a comment into a template ("Hey, just dropped by [insert store name, here] today!! Had the BEST TRANSACTION EVER!! OMG11!!1"). The person will then run the script and as many companies as the person has been contracted with will then get that exact comment. The process can be arranged differently, too, so that the person makes hundreds of unique users who comment to that one business (for example, Austin Cash 4 Gold), with a database of different (yet incredibly similar) customer messages. Yelp filters these comments out for a reason. A suspicious pattern has been spotted, and while they can't really say the user is fake (because, let's face it, they did provide a unique email address (remember there are thousands of places you can get a free email account out there... it's so easy to do) and did confirm it), but they still see the reviews are hinky. Problematic. Which is why they aren't counted. This store is really small. That they'd have 35 comments that are considered questionable enough to be stuck on that list... really raises more than a few questions in my book. Shopper be ware.

I'm sorry if Halstead had a bad experience, but I can confirm that they have bullion available and on-site. The problem he had appears to be due to the fact that he thought ARCI operated more like a pawn shop. They don't. This is a much more upscale experience. Sometimes, you have to wait for product if the order is large enough. Their inventory changes hourly. They carry LOTS of rare coins that would require traveling the globe to locate. They lock the rates at the time you indicate, so I'm not sure why anybody would need to receive the product any faster than they deliver it. Finally, I want to point out that I made a spreadsheet of all of my purchases historically. ARCI has always charged me the least. For reference, EBay is the most expensive place to buy, so don't do that under any circumstances. I'm available to answer any questions, as I stated before.
