Dr. Patel performed a thorough eye exam, including dilation and retina evaluation, he communicated all the vision exam findings to my dad in a clear and concise manner, while also updating his glasses prescription. From what I understand from office staff, you're being recorded from the time you walk in, in the lobby, and in the exam room. She also told me that's not something they usually disclose. I'm not sure why they would feel the need to record their patients - when the office is open and people are there. It certainly can't be because of past burglaries *because the office is open*. But that was enough to send me walking out the door.

The office staff/receptionists, however, are too often rude and seem resentful at having to answer the phone and help patients. As far as their 'Boutique," however, I purchased a really expensive pair of glasses. After wearing them a couple of days, I found they were a defective design--the cross bar protruded radically onto the lens, visible in your line of sight constantly. I was told to wear them and try to get used to it. Unable to, I was put through hell getting a refund even when the office manager acknowledged the defect--and I was 'banned' by letter from ever entering their 'Boutique' as punishment. From poor service by the Boutique, to failure to stand by their product, to trying to humiliate their clients.

Four days before he was going to operate, he looked at my file and asked me why I had severe cataracts? That's when I decided to find a new surgeon. I wanted a doctor who didn't act like I was a part moving down an assembly line and I found that with Dr. Serdahl and his staff. Dr. Serdahl put me at ease immediately. He was the only one of 3 eye surgeons I have seen who explained that I had Fuch's Dystrophy and why it could cause complications. Surgery was pain and anxiety free. Two weeks later, I was ready to schedule surgery on my other eye. It takes a lot for a doctor to impress me. Dr. Serdahl does. You can trust him with your vision.
