I have relied on Hillsboro Ford Service for regular and unscheduled maintenance for our three Fords for several years. They reliably provide the best dealer service experience I have ever encountered (and I've owned many cars of different makes--bought new or used, foreign and domestic--over the years and frequented countless dealer service shops). I do take a vehicle now and then to a private shop that I trust, but Hillsboro Ford competes with them for quality and cost; in fact, Hillsboro Ford often charges less for the same job (using Ford parts). I've always felt they were being honest and fair with me in their analysis/estimation of a problem or other issue, and I have never felt I was paying for unecessary work or being charged unfairly. Their mechanics/techs are experienced and skilled. Leanne, the Service Manager, is very professional, always tries to fit me in as soon as possible, and always treats me and my vehicles very well. If you haven't tried Hillsboro Ford Service, you owe it to yourself to give them a shot. Yesterday my wife and I, (both in our 80s) were driving our 2015 Honda 70 miles from home when it broke down in front of Hillsboro Ford. I was able to get it into their lot. I asked if they could take a look at it. I think they gave it priority and got us back on the road quickly. They would not accept any payment saying that were glad to help. I was looking for a used truck and they happened to trade for one that we both knew was perfect for me. They knew this and therefore felt they did not have to try to earn my business. In fact, if the truck was not what I wanted, I would have left and never returned. The truck was in the shop on a rack when they showed it to me. I walked around the truck, and they explained what was being repaired. While walking around the truck I saw a scratch in the bed, and I asked if they could have someone touch that up for me. They made it sound to my wife and I that they would. We said cool. They appraised my trade, and they told me the amount. They did not come off the price of theirs at all when they presented the numbers. I told them we are close, but I think we are $2000 apart can we make that up somewhere. The salesman pulled out this stupid piece of paper that said, we make buying easy here and make it easy for you. (Paraphrased a little there but you get the point.) So, the easy way is for you to bow down, pay their asking price, and take what you get for your trade. No discussion, no handling objections, no sales skill whatsoever. Just shut up and take it. Again, they knew that had me and their smug attitudes showed. I bought the truck and was told I had this awesome interest rate. When I showed up it was way higher than we were told. In the finance managers defense, the guy that gave me the rate they let go home early and the F&I Manger work for a while to at least keep a promise made. Now let's go back to scratch. When I asked if the scratch got touched up, I was told no. The manager said it would have to go to the body shop to repair it, and he was not going to do that. Then WHY did you say you would touch it up? The truck was washed and filled the day I purchased the truck. But I was not picking up right then. So, I drove off in a truck with bird droppings all over it. They also did not care enough to put good tires on the truck. I drove about 4000 miles and had to replace all the tires. They were the original tires that came on the truck. A 2017 model F250. Lastly, my tags were going to expire soon. I called and was told no they were not ready. Excuse was we can only do 30 plates a month, what? I called back to let them know my tags expire today. I need a new temp tag. I was told they should get them today and they would be overnighted because of the expiration of my tags. I called two days later, and the tags had not been mailed. Just another lie from this company. Now, the salesman drove them to me, but I am located on his way home. Conclusion: I will not ever consider this dealership for my next purchase and maybe you should not consider them for your first purchase. I have to start by saying my office is in Manchester and less than a half mile from a Ford dealership. The 45 to 50 minutes to Hillsboro Ford is well worth it. This review is specific to the service department, sales team was exceptional. Purchased new ford truck from Hillsboro ford Jan 2024 this truck was a total lemon electrical issues, shifting issues, camera issues, air conditioning issues and an annoying thumping sound that sounded shifting related. Every time I brought this pos into this service center they always claimed they couldn't duplicate issue unless it was something that had a bulletin out on then they could ironically duplicate and think they repaired however issues never got better only worse. After several times in the shop with zero positive results and the list of issues only growing I finally traded in this lemon at an 8 thousand dollar loss and upgraded to a tundra. Either this place is full of losers who don't care about fixing your vehicle or they are filled with losers who can not diagnose a problem either way the practices are nothing short of criminal. Sadly when it comes to ford brand NEVER AGAIN, this is by far the worst experience owning a vehicle ever and sadly I loved the features of my truck that for the money can not be duplicated with Toyota for the money however at least I now have quality build. Hillsboro for today great job with fixing my truck after the driveshaft was broken. It took almost 9 weeks to get the part we needed because of the supply chain in the world is broken. I would highly recommend dealing with Travis when you go for service he did an outstanding job working with me to get my truck back on the road. If I had to rate the supply chain problems with Ford I would rate them as a one. I fully believe that Hillsboro Ford has an outstanding employee in Travis. After the bad experience of them keeping my car for a week for a light bulb and doing recall work on my door latches the inside of my car floors became wet and filling with water. we took it back and the were going to charge more than car was worth to fix and wanted second look they then told called me after asking them several times to just call my husband My husband then was told he could not pick car up because there was another recall. when my husband was finally allowed to pick car up it did not start. I'm currently looking for a new (to me) used car & this was my first lot stop. I had checked out there web site & had a list of vehicles I wanted to check out. Out of the 3 I'd narrowed it down to by the time I got there, one had been sold, but bought back because engine "blew out" (sales mans words), neither of the other two had passed inspection & needed a # of repairs done just pass inspection (sales man did supply a list of what ea. vehicle needed done & would cost several hundred $ or more to fix). Between this & the fact they don't allow test drives & I'd have to have a tow truck to remove from lot (per N.H. law apparently) sounded fishy & underhanded to me. The only reason I gave a second star was the sales man was friendly & forthcoming in answering questions. Better luck next time I guess. read more

Had an excellent experience here. I was in the market to purchase a used vehicle for a few weeks. I had been to other dealers that were just trying to "wheel and deal" as most car dealerships are. I went in, told this team exactly what I needed, and purchased my vehicle there two days later. Everyone I interacted with was funny, friendly, and knowledgeable. They were also transparent with me through every step of the process. Nothing was ever hidden and there were no "secret closed door meetings" like at other dealerships. Wanted to buy several vehicles for my company there. Drove 86 miles as the deal was very good. Vehicles were sitting on the grass lot for a long time, one had wasp nest in it, another dead battery, another power step not working, found one which started - no gas, huh. Took for a road test, computer shows 10 miles to empty. Engine abnormally vibrating - mentioned it to sales person Mark, whose reply: "...they all work like that". Yeah, right including those which are already in my fleet (which do not do that). Tried to force me into putting deposit on the vehicle. I've complained to sales manager Jason (all one band of brothers who cover each other). I am omitting the my multiple un-returned calls, When I've decided to put a deposit on a vehicle I was blown off by David who stated all the vehicles were sold (yeah right.... none was sold for 5 months and then like a miracle all are sold overnight). This is a dishonest, misleading dealer, who plays games and waste customer time. In my subjective opinion I believe they do racial or ethnic profiling and pick and choose to whom they would sell the vehicle. I hope never to experience such a mistreatment again. read more

I had such a great experience buying a car for my mom! She knew exactly what she wanted and it was an easy purchase. I called ahead to make sure the 2018 Ford Edge was available and spoke with Mark. He was super friendly and it was up front when we arrived. When we did the test drive he was knowledgeable about the technology but I worked for a Ford dealership and am a car nerd so I made it easy for him lol. When t came to numbers Mark and Tim were quick and very easy to match a price I was given at another dealership for the same vehicle. Since I had worked at a dealership previously I knew the potential battle ahead of us, but no! They came in with numbers that just didn't work then they were quick to work with us and give us a great deal and agree to terms of a lease. I normally wouldn't have felt comfortable with my mom buying a car herself but I knew she was in good hands when she went in the following day for delivery. The car was detailed and inspected and ready to go. My dad was so impressed he will be buying a vehicle there next too. Bought a Jeep Wrangler from their lot.It was an auction vehicle. Had an extremely hard to push in clutch.I mentioned it at time of sale, they said they would check it out.They came back and said there was nothing wrong with clutch.Tailgate was slightly off in color.Found out later it was involved in accident.Vehicle was not prepped properly.This was a $18000.00 vehicle.They treated it like a wholesale deal.Weeks later clutch went out, pressure plate springs were the problem all along. Clutch was down to rivets.Safety recall issues found and never addressed by the Dealer. Complaint made to DMV with photos,but they are very Pro dealer and border on incompetent . Do not trust this dealership.Once you drive off the lot,you will not get the friendly smiles you got at first.You are on your own.
