LISTING / PRICING INFO PLEASE READ. Extremely misleading listing and scammy pricing. "Hillside Auto Mall Special" pricing is NOT what the car is actually listed as, even if that's what's on Carfax. It is what your FINANCED price will be after deposit. And that's IF you bring a printed website of the listing. So in reality, the financed amount could very much be more than that if you don't bring that printed sheet of paper (What age is this?). Add the deposit and "special" price, and you'll get the retail amount above. And then it's also above average market price--crazy! We made an appointment to see a specific car all the way out in Jamaica (1 hour drive for us). They confirmed the car was available for our appointment the following day and even called us in the morning to make sure we were still coming. Spoke with Carlos (Cuban guy) and asked about ALL THE FEES for the car before I even went in. He said the only additional fees where the normal safe tax, registration and a $600 dealership fee. Great! Car was listed for 10k. Made an appointment and still had to wait over 90 mins with my small child to test drive the car. Come back and am told that the noises the car makes are normal bc it's a small car and the tire pressure light is because of the climate. Then get quoted over 20k for the car . Was told bc I'm not financing with them I had to pay more. No where on their site does it say that. SCAMMERS! The lot of them! In search of a Quality Pre-owned vehicle, I stumbled upon a car I was interested in on the Truecar.com site my Credit Union advised I begin my search through. A Internet Specialist contacted me to set up an appointment. I set an appointment and was contacted atleast 5 TIMES while traveling to the lot. I had repeated missed calls. When I arrived the lot was bumper to bumper lined with cars. The cars were so close together it made it almost impossible to get into each without scratching the paint job on the vehicle parked next to it. Typical of NYC dealers...? I was shown cars with mediocre interior, not much of a variety of cars in pristine condition. The young man.. sales-man "J" (no last name provided) showed me a few vehicles marked WAY above the MSRP I had been researching on True Car. As I got into the 2nd vehicle I viewed, my father and I asked J if we could take the vehicle for a test drive? J replied "Are you going to buy it?" "We have to decide on a price you're comfortable with before you test drive" ::Fabolous begins to play::: WHERE THEY DO THAT AT??????!!!!!! Possibly the worst dealership in all of NYC. It all started when I went in with an online quote. They said it was approved but added a substantial fee of $3,000. Then they snuck in the warranty package without informing me or describing the me what the warranty was. After I purchased the car, lights malfunctioned within three weeks and battery had to be replaced as well. Took the car in for maintenance Under warranty. I was informed it was a simple light fix and would be done next day.....or so they said. For five days straight I was instructed to call back to check if the car was done and was given the run around. On the sixth day they told me the car woild be done and to come by 4pm. Went in around 5pm and of course, the car wasn't done. Cassandra who took in my car would not speak to my brother and was hiding in the back room. She sent four members out denying to meet and stated she was busy and that we should check again Tuesday. Today on Tuesday once again, no where about a of my car and once again given the run around. This company is absolutely a sham of a business and provides no after service. Please save yourself the trouble and do not go to these employees with no ethics. Everyone is a professional liar with no guilty consciousness. All reviews on Google are either fake or the sales people force you to rate five stars during your purchase. LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS! UPDATE 07/27/18 After locating my car the head of service for the company advised me that the car was good to go. This dealership has great professional staff. Marcellus was very patient with questions and has a lot of knowledge about vehicles. Eric made sure to fix one front mirror and the rear break pads on time before I got the car. He also took time to explain the dealership policy agreement document to my proper understanding before the purchase. And top of it got me a moderate auto insurance after several attempt to get an affordable one without compromising quality. I was interested in a car that was listed for $22,887 on the companies website as well as Autotrader. I confirmed the car's availability along with wanting to put a deposit down until I could actually see the car. Magically the car suddenly became unavailable but then the next day the car was priced $7,000 more for a whopping $29,887. Other reviews confirm that prices seem to change when dealing with this dealership! Financing managers change prices and indicate the pricing does not include 10% down, etc. do not waste your time on dealing with this dealership! They were being nice to me and telling me a bunch of lies to make me think their customer service is good then they sat me in front of a computer and made me fill out reviews. My husband was baited and switched regarding a car advertised online. Despite my warnings based on negative reviews on multiple sites, he decided to give them a chance. Turns out they screwed him out of 2.5 hours of his life. Main message: DON'T trust their listings. Here's his story below: This place is a complete and total bait and switch scam! I went against the warnings of others and the advice of my wise wife and decided to inquire about a 2014 Audi A4 listed in their inventory. I was told that someone had placed a deposit on it and it was no longer get available. Then, low and behold, 2 hours later get a call that the buyer changed their mind and it was available for purchase. That should have been warning enough right there. I talked to the girl on the phone, Kiera, for about 10 minutes about the car and made her promise it would be there when I arrived (having read the previous reviews about bait and switch) to which she promised it would be. I let her know I would be there in one hour because that's how long my train ride there was, and she even said if anything came up she would call me so I wouldn't waste my time. So, I travelled for 75 minutes to Queens and find a salesman there and tell him the car I had come to see, and, low and behold, wouldn't you know..."Oh, that car just sold today. Let me tell you about other cars we have that are similar." He then went on to explain there was a better version of the same car they have, but wouldn't you know, that car wasn't available at the time I was there, it had just been "taken home by the manager" (which also seems weird alone). But, if I was only willing to spend another 2.5 hours more of commuting on Saturday to deal with them, then I would get to see it. I came here simply because they are one of Capital One Auto Finance Authorized Dealers. I went there armed with a blank check, I did not use it because they matched the APR. Unfortunately, it did not stop there. They have misleading ads that show average prices from kbb, and when you get there they will squeeze everything from you. They'll throw in that bs about 3000 down payment IS NOT included in the price, etc. (at that time it was 3k placed ever on the oh so tiny text on the ad), they will not gas up the vehicles, and don't even think about trading-in your car..DO NOT! Be warned also that there are several fake reviews on google, which generally have the same content and/or words switched around, lol. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else, and you will thank me later. After getting my breaks changed in the beginning of August because I have been having trouble with a car they sold me since February I noticed I had a slow leak in my back right tire. I looked for my key to unlock my wheels so I could take off the old tire I could not find it. (Hillside is the last place to have access to the wheel lock key) I contacted hillside auto mall and explained the situation Daniel gave me the numbers to the repair shops that they use and told me to call myself. Galaxy told me that they don't have any wheel keys and the other flat out told me that the never had my car there without getting any info about the car from me. I called Daniel back and he said he would call himself. After waiting over 2 hours And no phone call I called Daniel back. He said both repair shops said they don't have the key. He tells me I can go to Chevy to have them break the locks and have them replace them and get a new wheel lock key. I politely told him I gave my car to you guys to fix and you didn't not return my wheel lock key why do I have to pay Chevy. I already paid over $300 to Chevy to have them rebalance my car in July after Hillside auto mall was unable to tell me why my car was rattling less then a month after purchase. I gave them the chance to fix all the other problems which they did but they lost my key in the process. I then spoke to Daniels boss Ali I think and he told me to bring the car in they would take care of the wheel locks and the key. Great we agreed I would come in Saturday morning before 11 but I had an emergency and had to cancel. I called at 10:16 am and spoke to a woman not sure who i exxplained everything and asked could I come in on Sunday. She put me on hold came back and said yes come Sunday before 2pm. Now today is Sunday the 20th I show up with my car and my husband to take me back home until my car is ready. There are only 2 associates working Jay and another gentleman. He never told me his name. I explained why I was there and he tells me I came for nothing sorry but none of the repair shops are open can you come Tomorrow. Are you serious this dealership has given me the run around and misinformation two many times. This is the WORST dealership in the history of used cars that I have ever been too. On top of that I have tried to cancel my warranty since June and they still have not done it. Do not buy a car from these people. They sell you a car quickly then you end up with a lifetime worth of problems. They don't care that I had to leave my kids with a babysitter for a few hours so I could drive out to them from Brooklyn only to be told that I have to come back. My time not my gas is free. I contacted Hillside auto in July for a specific Jeep Grand Cherokee they had on the lot.After speaking with one of the reps I drove from Staten Island to Queens to test drive and purchase the vehicle. When I arrived Mel was friendly and helpful. We took a test drive which was great then went back to the office to fill out the credit application to apply for the vehicle. As I'm sitting at the desk I get multiple notifications on my phone that my credit was pulled which is fine in the process of getting the vehicle. Now at this time Mel comes back and tells me I'm very sorry but the vehicle being purchased was just sold to the couple sitting next time. "Wait, excuse me!!!!" I purchased a vehicle from Hillside Auto Mall at 15001 Hillside Ave in Jan 2020. I was only given 1 key and was told they'd give me a 2nd key at no charge. Coronavirus came and I was unable to go get the key. They programmed that key for another vehicle, which is understandable. What I don't feel is acceptable is first, why would you only give 1 key, then promise a 2nd one at no cost but give it to another customer? And second, now they're saying they can't give me a free key but can give me a discounted price. That's ridiculous! I should have been given 2 keys from the start. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY BUSINESS!
