I'd give it five stars for taking in my emergency call. Brought it in at 430pm Friday and it was ready at 1:15pm Saturday. The turnaround was quick and they didn't hassle me! They do a good job on regular clothes. When I brought army class A uniform to get patches fixed, the messed up the blazer. I don't know if it was just miss understanding or they just don't under stand when I told them to replace a patch because when I received my blazer they just placed the new patch on top of the old one. I was laughing my ass of when I saw it and while I explained the mistake, but that soon changed when they told me it will take a couple of days to get back unless I pay extra! So I paid the extra $10 since I needed my uniform the next day, and tell me why they messed it up even more!! So I had to explain to my Luitenant why my uniform was ate up. I was promised by a lady name Maria N. that she would give me a discount on a bundle of laundry. As soon as I arrived no body was there to approach me. It took about 15 minutes for someone to actually help us. An old Asian man started to unbundle my laundry without letting me know the price for laundry. He said $2.50 after all my clothes were laying on the table. I told him that there was a discount and he said "No!" I told him yes thats why I came here. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! GO TO MIRACLE CLEANERS 5 MINUTES AWAY!!! I took my suit there and a button was clearly starting to come off. you can see threads loose and some coming off. So i asked him if they can sew it back on. He argued that its still on. I then asked can you just do it anyways? i'm paying for the service. He said ok ok i'll do it. Sure enough when i picked up my suit, it was not touched and a couple threads were still out. I get dry cleaning done at my work, but brought it in to get the button done. instead he charged me for dry cleaning and didn't fix what i wanted them to. I'm not coming back for their shitty service. I would give them 0 stars if i could. There are plenty other dry cleaners in the area. read more

I haven't tried the dry cleaning so I cannot comment on that. I can comment on the alterations though! I had a blazer (yes, i wear blazers now. oh you didn't know? you ath betta call sumbodeeeeeeee!) that needed the sleeves shortened so that my dress shirts can stick out 1/4" to create that "fancy effect". The blazer I had done had non-functional buttons on the sleeves so it shouldn't have been that difficult and I got charged $twenty-something and $11 for a pair of dress slacks that needed a hem. got both articles of clothing 3 days later all ready to go. Brought my white dress shirt to dry clean because I had a stain on the neckline. There were no stains anywhere else prior to giving it to them. They told me it would take two days when I picked it up, it had stains on the sleeve and the front. All they said after was that it was there originally. Seriously? You're a dry cleaning company. So we went here for awhile, but they started losing my husbands shirts and not having everything ready on time. They'd say 24 hour service, but I'd come pick everything up after more than 24 and only half our stuff would be ready. I just got tired of it and now go to a great place in west portal. My husband used to like coming to this place and drop off close to 20+ items each time. He is too kind to be specific about detail - which is why I am now typing this review. He convinced me I should try out this place. Now I regret my decision. First Time My 5 silk shirts came back with a strong chemical smell that could not be removed unless I dry cleaned them again. What was more sad - some of the oil splatters he pointed out during drop-off were not removed. There was no comment from the cleaner I resigned myself to never use them again and instead go to the French Cleaners at Westlake despite the distance. That different cleaning service was able to remove the stains and new chemical odor - NO PROBLEM. My husband continued to use this place out of habit. Second Time - few months later out of desperation I included a pair of wool trousers with a distinctive leather stripe, along with more silk shirts with similar small minor oil splatters. I'm including this detail in case the Owner reads this. Maria - you will be familar with my husband who gave you very good patronage with his many shirts, suits and clothes. Not only did the shirts come back with some oil stains still there - one had a sign saying "sorry, tried and cannot remove", while others didn't even have notification with same stains. WORSE - they LOST my expensive trousers. My husband went back multiple times - each time they said they were looking for them. NEVER did they call us back. NEVER did they offer concessions - discount, apology, or anything. This evening my husband was back and they questioned him - like he was lying or something. Maria said she "counted four pants". Really? NOW you claim you wrapped and counted the pants yourself? My husband walked out. This is not good customer service. Bad quality services, bad customer service to your customers, bad relationship with customers (my husband) who did want to work it out with you in a reasonable way. And you "claim" to know my husband each time he walked in. It does not matter what your sign says in your store. An APOLOGY would have worked if you were sincere. My patronage to your business may not matter, may be not even my husband's who spent 100s of dollars each visit with you. But I wouldn't recommend your place to any of my friends or neighbors. read more

I dropped off 2 dresses here and they were done and clean within 2 days (but you can ask for it 24 hours later, which is awesome). They were friendly and professional and my dresses came back with no damage. My two dresses were $20 total. Will definitely be back here again! read more

I have been to several other dry cleaners in the area, and most of the others dont do any work inside their shop. They just outsource it to some central factory, which takes longer and is more expensive. Hillside does everything right in the shop and Maria is a professional! Great service, timely, and reasonable price. This is the best option in Daly City. read more

I brought in my wool coat to be dry cleaned here after reading some favorable reviews. After not hearing from the place for a few days I decided to call them to see if my coat was ready, it was and even though I think it's their job to let the customer know when they are done I figured no big deal. I walked into hilltop cleaners into a cloud of smoke as two of the asian male workers or managers were smoking cigarettes in the corner. I'm not a smoker and couldn't help but start to cough as my eyes began to sting from the smoke as well. I couldn't tell if the chuckles off to the side were at my coughing or some different conversation but either way no one seemed to care that the 'cleaning' business was full of cigeratte smoke. They did manage to clean my coat but I can't help but detect the ever subtle smell of smoke on it. Maybe it's just my imagination but either way, I can't give a cleaning business anything more then one star when the workers are stinking up your clothes in the process. read more
