Please be warned and proceed with caution! Do not be fooled by the older/outdated (beyond 1 year) reviews for this dry cleaner. The new business owner of this cleaner does not take responsibility of its services. After getting home from this cleaner with my dry cleaned clothes, I saw that the trim on my dry clean-only cardigan was damaged and ripped out of the seams. I returned the next day to show the damaged cardigan to the man at the front, and he almost immediately became defensive, saying he followed the dry cleaning process, and that there was nothing he could do: "The tag says dry cleaning, and I followed the instructions". This man at the front refused to apologize and take responsibility, which was upsetting. The damage couldn't be repaired, so then I asked for what I believe to be fair: a refund of the dry clean charge on the cardigan. But he adamantly resisted honoring a refund and suggested that I bring in the receipt for the cardigan so that he can go to the store where it was purchased to get a refund from the store. After back-and-forth arguing for five minutes, I told him that I would tell my family and friends and neighbors in the community to never patronize his business. That quieted him, and he finally relented and very hesitantly gave me cash refund. read more

I went to the old Tower Cleaners down the street for decades but it closed after the pandemic, so I tried Miraloma Cleaners. Am I the only one who finds the service to be awful? First, they upcharge insisting that you need a more expensive dry clean vs laundry for shirts that have been laundered for years. The turn over time is long - many days for a single dry clean, and finally I've interacted with the purveyor multiple times; she has never been particularly nice or helpful. In fact I'd call her unpleasant. I take my dry cleaning/ laundry to Portola Cleaners down the block. They get the work done quickly and we'll! read more

If you don't mind the prices it's a great place, always ready when they say, never any problems, if you have one, they just take it right back and have it for you later that same day or the next morning and knock off another 20%. Which, if you had brough it in for the early bird, just about makes it more affordable than the "cheap dry cleaners" scattered all over this city. Suzy is so amazing and We wont go anywhere else. When I particularly appreciate about Miraloma cleaners, is they use all organic materials for dry cleaning. Harsh chemicals will cause fading over time and eventually destroy the fabric. The one time we had an issue, Suzy immediately addressed it and it was resolved above and beyond our expectations. Suzie, the owner, is a doll! Always cheerful and generous, with both her service and discounts! The last few times I've come in, she's given me 20% off on my dry cleaning bill! I save a substantial amount of moolah and in exchange, I bring in my old wire hangers so she can recycle them. I've taken my finest silk blouses and dresses here. It looks and feels new after getting drycleaned. She also managed to get rid of a nasty guacamole stain on my khaki trench coat and there's no trace of it anymore. Sweet, humble, gracious, efficient couple runs this spot. Original hem? Perfect. They always call you to let you know your clothes are ready to be picked up, before the time they'd originally stated. I arrived before 9am to take advantage of their 20% early bird discount. There was ton of parking, conveniently located in front of the store. I had only 2 items to press and when I asked for pricing, they first asked me if I was an existing or new customer. When I said "new", I felt like I would pay more and was indeed completely in shock when I was told the price to simply press (no cleaning) a shirt and a jacket: - $5.50 for for 1 shirt - $12.50 for 1 basic jacket and these prices already include a 20% discount! This is at the very least 30% more expensive than anywhere else around. I can't even understand how they are still in business, unless existing customers are paying much less. I'll stay with other cleaners around West portal (Shirt = $2.50-$3.00 clean+press, jacket = $6.75 press, $10 clean+press) or use Rinse/Washio instead. read more

Miraloma Cleaners was sold around The end of 2019! I'm not certain about the new owners and the quality of entire operation now. The prices have increased significantly. I did have a men's shirt and blanket dry cleaned with the new ownership. The quality seemed okay. The customer service is definitely not as strong. It was difficult to understand the man who runs the front desk. I didn't have an idea either way on whether this new ownership could be trusted based on my initial impressions, which is unusual for me. I'll be looking for a new organic dry cleaner. read more

We've been going to Miraloma Cleaners for 6 years. These are wonderful, good people... who just happen to do a good job at alterations and cleaning. Suzie remembers me, even when I haven't stopped by in over 8 months. It's a neighborhood shop that makes you feel good. She also agreed to do some weird projects for us... totally changing the style of a jacket, multiple patches on my leather vest, making our cat's safety harness fit better, etc. Tip: If you need alterations, be sure and call ahead to let them know you're coming. read more

Really???!! It's just a hem, you're not making me a dress. All their cleaning prices are way to high so never use them anymore too. Going down the block to tower cleaners, which was $20 cheaper. I LOVE Miraloma Cleaners! Talk about "service with a smile!" The two owners, husband and wife, are super nice. They always seem to be in a good mood, and they're always happy to see you. In fact, the lady who works there seems to enjoy saying my name outloud. "Hi, Yan!" "Thanks, Yan!" "Bye, Yan!" No one else gets that kind of treatment. I guess she finds it funny that I have an Asian sounding name . . . They offer 20% off drycleaning if you bring it in before 9 am. They've never lost any of my clothes (did I just jinx myself?). There's metered parking right in front. They're not the fastest or the cheapest, but they do have the best service. There's Mimi's Cleaners and Portola Cleaners nearby . . . I've tried them both, but Miraloma Cleaners won my business. I've been a happy, satisfied customer for 6+ years, and I ain't switchin'. read more

I've just picked up my dry cleaning and am very disappointed in their service. I gave very specific instructions that my dress needed to be pressed so that the pleats in the back matched the pleats in the front and was assured they would take care of it. However I just picked it up and sure enough, the pleats in the back do not match the rest of the dress. When I pointed this out, they said that its not possible to fix it - which was the main reason I dropped it off in the first place. So why didn't tell me this in the first place? They then proceeded to charge me the full price even though they hadn't done what was promised. They were friendly enough and nice I'm sure but for service and execution, I have to give them one star. Disappointing because I was hoping to find a go-to cleaners here. read more

Even having moved to SF from NYC, the prices at my first neighborhood dry cleaner in Pacific Heights (Buchanan Cleaners) seemed high. But I was so pleased with the service -- dry cleaning and alterations both -- that I kept returning for about three years after moving five miles away. Then, when I needed to get some down pillows and comforters cleaned, I decided to try Miraloma Cleaners to see if I might save a few bucks. The prices were indeed considerably lower, and the service quality was outstanding. So now I have all my cleaning done here. I've not been as happy/lucky with my alterations, though. I used Miraloma Cleaners twice. Once I needed a re-do (their fault, not mine, and they were perfectly gracious and professional about correcting the mistake). The other time I intended to specifically ask about matching the thread color on a pair of jeans, but forgot; when I got them back, sure enough, the new thread didn't match. This has happened to me elsewhere, also (that's why it initially crossed my mind to ask). So, I guess it's not uncommon and not a gross error. Nevertheless, since Buchanan has a perfect record and I don't like dealing with do-overs, I'll take future alteration work to them. But I'll surely be 100% loyal to Miraloma Cleaners for all my dry cleaning as long as I live nearby. They do excellent work, the prices are better than other places of equal quality, and the owners/staff are delightful people. BTW, I'm guessing that Brian N's review is about a different place. Ownership of Miraloma Cleaners has not changed hands, and the the only two people I've ever seen manning the counter (owner Suzie and her son) aren't even capable of being rude. read more

I've gone here about 5 times and I love them. They always do an impressive job with my dry cleaning. I had them clean a few dresses and several of my husband's dress shirts and pants. I also brought them a leather Marc Jacobs bag that needed cleaning (the inside was soft fabric) and they discussed a few options for cleaning with me. I got the bag back within a week and they did such a nice job that I tipped the employee who rang me up. He was shocked and tried to refuse the 5$ tip, but I insisted. I swear, he made it seemed like I had made his day. So sweet and kind of him. They are super friendly. Every time I walk in they make it seem like they are so happy to have me in there. Also, I took a picture of a sign they had posted in their window. They will clean your suit for free if you are unemployed and looking for work. Small businesses just don't get any better or classier than that. read more

Very poor communication and customer service. I dropped off items to be altered three and half weeks ago. They asked me to return the end of the first week to pick up - but the business was closed when I did so. It continued to be closed for the next couple weeks. I went in today (three and a half weeks after initially dropping the items off) and the items still aren't ready. No apology was offered. I asked to cancel the alteration work at this point and the man refused. No matter what the quality of alterations is, this is horrible customer service. I will never go anywhere else! Best service I have EVER experienced at local cleaners! (Unless I move out of SF) Am I picky about where I take my clothes to be laundered or dry cleaned? Darn tootin. Do I take my my business elsewhere when product and service is unsatisfactory? But of course. After reading such positive reviews for Miraloma Cleaners, I knew I had to give them a shot- and with such close proximity to my neighborhood it was clearly a no-brainer. Brought my shirts and slacks to be cleaned because they were starting to give my closet a bad rep for the landmark eye sore they were providing in dirty pile form. Let's put it this way: my usual laundry loads would show up and be like "damn, are you guys squatting or just waiting to be evicted"? Anyhow, I walked in hopeful and spoke with the woman I figure is the owner/operator. I make a failed attempt at small talk, but she was still sweet and made me feel welcome none the less. Came back the following week without a ticket (not a problem to these pros- this is noted because I've been hassled for such carelessness @ other "establishments") When my clothes were brought out I noticed a stain on 2 of my expensive shirts which I frowned upon yet realized I did bring them in this way. She, (agh, I wish I asked her name to be polite) gave me a couple of options and told me to think about it if I felt the shirts were worth it to me. I don't know about everyone else that goes to cleaners but typically I don't feel that they all care very much about your happiness and at times even get defensive that you aren't satisfied with the finished product. NOT AT MIRALOMA! This awesome individual HELPED me believe my business was valuable and my concerns were priority. Can you really ask for much more??? Being a new customer, I felt it necessary to rave about this place for the SERVICE. The lone woman, who reminds me of a sweet aunt you don't get to see often, but when you do she melts your heart and curls your smile. Combine that with utmost professionalism lacking in many businesses and you have a winner!!! Difference maker indeed. Prices are fair, Credit cards accepted. Gotta love it. read more

I m a new customer to Miraloma Cleaners. My go-to cleaner was Glen Park Cleaners in my neighborhood until the unfortunate fire closed it down. Whenever you change your habit, be it a dentist, doctor or dry cleaners, there is bit of hesitancy and unease as you simply don't know what to expect. Long story short: I m so glad to have found Miraloma Cleaners. The only downside is my old cleaners was only two blocks away but now I have to drive a mile... I was pleasantly surprised or shocked when I walked in to Miraloma Cleaners for the first time last month. The interior of the store is absolutely gorgeous as it reminds of my European vacation. The owner is super friendly and she has been there since 1991. I have no complaints and ease of parking compared to the old cleaners on Cheney Street is an added bonus. When I was there on Saturday morning, there was a line out the door and the owner seemed to almost every customer as she greeted the customers by first name. I was pretty impressed as customers looked happy. I guess I found my dry cleaner. I highly recommend this cleaner. read more

I've been here several times now, and I'm sorry to say that I am taking my business elsewhere. Three times in a row I asked for special instructions with my cleaning, and each time they were ignored. This last time, I got a shirt back missing a button. The people here are super nice, but something is wrong. There doesn't appear to be any quality checks on the work. This lady is horribly negligent. She ruined two items of very expensive clothing: my North Face jacket and a Bebe dress. I opene the plastic and was accosted by the smell of fish and old cat piss!! And the down in my jacket was completely flattened and my dress has fuzz balls all over it. When I brought it back in she said in very bad English that she did a wet wash of the clothes and that the smell is normal because of the down feathers. What about the stink all over my dress?! And I thought this was a dry cleaners! Not a wet cleaners! I don't know what to do but I'm going to let everyone know about this crazy negligence. read more
