I spent the next 45 minutes calling them, trying to get in, before they called me back, of course threatening a no-show fee. The team was very nice and the process to schedule an appointment went quickly. If you book online they call you that same day to confirm your appointment and might even try to schedule you sooner. Office experience. The front staff is incredibly condescending. They do not understand how insurance plans work. When I tried to explain that I had met my OOP in May, woman had me get my insurance card out and read it to me like I was an idiot. Emily Gonzales the PH does not take care of her patients at all. I saw her for a referral and a check up! she told me my referral would take a couple of days I'm going on 3 weeks! and still no referral. also asked for a physician med statement and she told me it would take a couple of weeks. I asked her do you need medical records to back up my medical history and she said no I believe you! 3 weeks nothing!!!! I went to see her to see if it was completed or done and still nothing!. I have been to the office daily trying to get the referral and statement donev and still nothing has been addressed! I don't know how this office stays in business with a PH like her! read more

It's been nearly two months and still no referral. I even went in person and spoke to the office manager. She too lied to my face saying she would get to the bottom of this situation and contact me with a resolution. Nearly a week later and she too has made no attempt to contact me or respond to my emails. To add insult to injury, I found out I was billed incorrectly for two visits. I've had to report them to my insurance's fraud department, The Attorney General's Office and Health and Human Services. If you do have the misfortune of having a doctor at this facility, RECORD YOUR INTERACTIONS then find another doctor. The providers at the practice are excellent. However, the business model is designed to extract the most profit from patients while minimizing interactions. I was notified by email that my annual exam had changed locations and providers. When I went online, it showed that my original provider was still with the practice, but did not have availability the day my appointment had been scheduled. I requested an appointment on a date that showed she was available on the website. I later got an email that my request was denied. I tried calling to book with her, and got an ai scheduler. The scheduler allows you to pick a date, and tells you one appointment time available on that date. If you don't select that time, you can pick a different date, however your provider may not be available that day, and the program does not give you dates where your provider is available. You have to check every day. I gave up and decided to just go to the new location and provider. When I got there, I was told that I had to pay a $75 specialist co-pay. I informed them that my wellness exam does not have a co-pay. They said that it does because it's with a specialist. When I asked why they scheduled me with a specialist without asking me or informing me of the additional fee, they said it was because my original provider was not available for my appointment. When I said that I would reschedule with my original provider, I was informed that I would still have to pay $75 to see her since she is now with the women's clinic. I asked if she'd gotten an additional certification or licensure since I saw her for free last year. She had not. I sent feedback to Hillside after my experience with the ai assistant with details of what went wrong. I never received a follow-up. I've had issues in the past (before the ai assistant) where I'd called the office to get a refill on a medication. I was told that I would need to make a new appointment to get a refill. This is for a medication I'd been on for years and which does not require labs. I am switching to a new practice, and do not recommend Hillside. read more

They take extremely too long to attend to their patients who are elderly. The lobby wait time was fast but sat in the room for an hour.

I am always impressed by the smoothness of appointments....from when I make the appointment, the advance notice via phone call and text. Once I am there, the response time is always quick. My medical professionals are clear and direct in helping me understand what is going on. I love this place! read more

Very disappointed since Mrs. Kushboo left NOTHING IS GOING LIKE IT SHOULD. Referrals are not send to the specialists, Vanessa is rude, the way she spoke to my son is unacceptable. We will switch to another primary care provider. There absolutely NO TRUST in the providers. read more

I FINALLY have a reason to leave a positive review. Today, I saw a new provder Dr. Richardson (or Phys. Assist - smae differrence in my opinion - often better than the "Doctors"...if there is such a thing anymore. I honestly cannot recall the last time i saw a "Doctor"...Oh, thats right....it was the day of my very first appt. with Hillside....the owner's sister- who I never saw or heard from again) Nonetheless, Dr. Richardson AND the in-house lab staff (in particular, the new Lab Manager, Andrea) TOTALLY RESTORED my faith in the Hillside Medical Group. Dr. Richardson listened to me. I didnt not feel rushed, and I felt as though she understood how my multitude of symptoms all tie together and I wasnt just some kind of hypochondriac wasting her time. I could hear the professional empathy and could see the gears of medical knowledge beginning to piece together a plan to gather the missing pieces and work on a solution to improve my health and keep me alive. So, for today's visit I couldn't feel more satisfied and confident in the care that I received. Thank you! read more

I usually have nothing but great experiences at this doctor's office -- the doctors and most of the staff are truly amazing. I want to acknowledge that this was the day after Christmas, and I understand that can be a tough day for staff. That said, my check-in experience was disappointing. I approached the front desk smiling and in a good mood, causing no issues, yet was met with eye-rolling and an unnecessary attitude. "Checking in" answering with a big smile and trying to get through the crowd, yes mam I am. Being told "well, step up and check in, don't hold up the line" felt unwarranted, especially since I wasn't holding anyone up. Thankfully, things immediately improved once I was taken back. My nurse was cheerful, kind, and a pleasure to be around -- exactly the level of care and professionalism I usually experience here. I normally never have complaints, which is why this stood out. A little kindness at the front desk goes a long way, especially when patients are doing their best to be pleasant too. If I had been rude or out of line, I could understand that kind of response -- but respect should be mutual, and professionalism matters on both sides. Though it seemed this one person may have had something going on that day and thought this behavior was okay, I will continue to promote Hillside Primary Care and the excellent staff they typically have. read more

This facility is not friendly for people with disabilities. Having designated parking for people with disability is not enough. The doors on this building are not easily open. Broke my toe back in October taking my husband to physical therapy in the process rammed my toe and broke it. Complaint to the owner Dr Patel and his staff told me there's nothing they can do to help the situation. One of the hired up told me that Dr Patel lease the building just to find out she was lying about it. De Naik told me the building belongs to Dr Patel. As of today my toe still hurts. Another facility manager told Dr Naik that the facility now has a door bell so someone can assist people with wheelchairs that are coming into the building another BIG lie. As of today there's no door bell to assist people with disabilities. Don't even bother to tell me that Dr Patel's best interest is the patient because it's not. The only interest he has is to maximize his profits. Shame on you Dr Patel for building a brand new facility and no easy access for people with disabilities!! Your top staff have lied again and again. Your overall staff is not well trained and informed. read more

I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room. I arrived at 3 My appointment was at 315. I was finally called @ 346 people were coming in after me and their name was called. I have never experienced this long of wait. I should ask for $50 If the patient is late or a no show. The patient is charged $50. Not happy with the long wait. read more

I also want to add. I am a nurse and working home health and have to call Dr offices for patients on a daily basis. I call to get orders give reports on patients health and concerns during my visits. They never call back when I request they send referral for patients needing specialty physicians they do not ever do it. When I say they are the worst primary care provider in this town I am not joking. Patients notice this when I try to get orders for them for wound care or to try give reports. They hear this and see this first hand. I will apologize for this practice all the time because I can never get a response from them. So not only is this my experience but anyone I have ever had deal with them. read more
