The menu clearly says greens come with this.

There aren't many old school restaurants like this. I was happy to sit in what feels like a tavern. I went twice. The first time, I ordered the make your own omelet with was delicious and made me want to go home and try my culinary talents. Soft, fluffy and the ingredients I chose, avocado, bacon and cheese made it add up fast. This was a pricey omelet. But there were no greens so I asked my waitress where were my greens. She said my dish doesn't come with greens. I thought she was mistaken but took her word for it. I thought to myself that I would swapped my potatoes for greens but ‍... The next day I went back to get the same thing and saw on the menu that greens does come with my custom omelette and felt like I had no recourse. I did order the same thing and the pic reflects that. So come here because the menu is actually great with a few staple items that I could eat every day but check your sides.

I decided to try this place for the first time. First of all the facade is not welcoming. I walked in the first thing I see is the toilet not great. The place seemed dark. The bartender was nice. I had originally gone to have food and drinks but decided to have one drink and go. The outside needs to be changed to something nicer. The place is not inviting.

This was my second time eating here. This time it was with my wife and 16 year old daughter. The food was excellent. We each got the Hilltop Burger. The beers my wife and I got were great as well. Their beer taps are clearly well maintained and the service was good and friendly. I REALLY want to see these guys succeed. The neighborhood needs them. But instead of being absolutely packed on a Saturday evening with a 15+ minute wait they were practically empty. The only reason I can see for that is pricing. $23 is very high for a burger with fries in this neighborhood. If they dropped it by $3-4 I think they would easily double their business. I will be going back on a Friday evening for the live jazz. They should consider having a Latin night and a Romantic evening with a Jazz/R&B singer? Need to get the word out if they do this!

2nd time here and once again great service from the bartender!! Good vibes from Jesus; greeted me as I walked in; now that's some southern hospitality for you!!! Came in to grab a quick beer but ended up with an another. Gd Convo at the bar with other patrons after Jesus planted the seed. I might have found me a new spot to check out!!! I met Jenny D the other night and now my guy Jesus (my intros to the spot). I'll be back soon to try some of the dishes on the menu! The food is good From what I heard from the others here now.

Hilltop Park Alehouse is one of the go-to places for social gatherings in Washington Heights. I've been here twice: the first was for a Columbia grad student orientation happy hour, the second was for a work lunch. The food is honestly pretty good here! I remember enjoying the food that was served during the happy hour and more recently, I really liked the salmon burger. Would I come here on my own? Probably not as I'm not a heavy drinker and the interior is not my vibe, so dark and brown lol. But since it seems to a fixture in the neighborhood for those working at Columbia, I will probably end up going to Hilltop many more times in the future through my participating of work events. I'm not complaining though because they make some awesome food here and it's a close walk from where we work. Here's to Hilltop!

As someone new to the neighborhood, I've walked by this place countless times, and after returning home from a long, jet-lagged vacation in Miami, I finally decided to stop in and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I stepped in, I was welcomed like a regular. Mike, who greeted me at the door, was incredibly warm and personable. He made me feel right at home and offered some excellent recommendations that hit the mark perfectly. I started with the Swipe Right cocktail, and let me tell you this drink lives up to its name it was match! A smooth, well-balanced mix of spirits, wine, and soft notes that made for a relaxing, flavorful unwind after a day of travel. For my meal, I went with the Hilltop Burger, and it was absolutely succulent juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. Every bite was satisfying, and it's clear the kitchen takes pride in their craft. On top of the food and service, the ambiance was fantastic lively, youthful, and full of great energy. It struck the perfect balance between trendy and comfortable, making it a great spot whether you're dining solo or out with friends. Whether you're a local or just settling in like me, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I'm already looking forward to my next meal here and ask for Mike he makes the experience stand out.

Love Hilltop! I come here once or twice every week with my roommate. They have amazing happy hour deals and service! Always super kind. And the owner Tara! Also super nice. The food is always delicious and a good bang for your buck. You can't beat the happy hour wings. Overall though the ambiance is just really nice and I love coming here. Perfect local spot.

I went here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty and we did not have to wait for a table. They had live music while we were there which made the vibe much more lively. For brunch, they have a bottomless drink option with the purchase of an entree which was a nice option for drinks. They were a bit slow on refilling the drinks but the food was decent for the price.

    Is $38 normal for a large G+T?

Hi Timothy, We dont have a large size G & T. A regular size G & T would be anywhere from $15 - $18 depending on the gin chosen. The house gin would be the cheapest at $15. Can…

Does anyone know the Sunday brunch menu?

If you look at the pictures someone posted a copy of a brunch menu - it's like the 7th or 8th customer photo. They also have it on their website.

    Is there a children's menu?

No there isn't. Lots of burgers though!

Well, I had decided to go here for my birthday back in 2020 when The Pandemic had happened so, I ate outside, I never made it inside. When Covid happened a lot of changes because I had to scan the QR code on the back to get the menu because to limit contact between others. The service was spot on , they were attentive. Now the food and drinks I had was ice water. A Pina Colada I've never had, but was disappointed because they watered down, I didn't taste any alcohol. I just had cheeseburger and french fries , which I couldn't finished. I also a fish taco which I never had before and it was delicious and I knew that they used fresh grease because of how they looked. I would go back out here for two reasons to check out the inside and for those fish tacos.

It's a comfortable little place with a nice vibe. Our waiter, Daniel, was great. He introduced himself and told us about specials. He took our drink orders and promptly came back with same. We asked about some appetizers and he gave us great advice. We ordered the fried chicken app (yummy, fresh chunks of fried chicken with a nice dipping sauce.) we also had the eggplant croquettes, those were quite tasty. The dates wrapped in bacon were also yummy. We ordered more food for dinner. He took a couple more drink orders, all good. After a bit he told us the food would be out in about 10 minutes, and it did! We had a three cheese pizza which was great. One of our party had the cauliflower salad and said it was very good. The French fries were also hot and tasty. The lentil soup was reported as being just ok. The beef bourguignon looked great. Unfortunately, the beef was dry. It had great potential but missed the target. Same for the roasted half chicken, it looked great, the sauce was great, but the chicken was overdone and dry. The bread pudding was so so. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM was that Daniel left after the dinner came. Eventually a young lady came around to our table. She never introduced herself, but the ticket said Nyla. She literally never would clear the table. I cleared several big plates and put them on an empty table next to us. Those empty plates were there when we left. The plates with pizza crust and the finished bowl of lentil soup were also still there. She never brought the bill. I had to flag her down to get it. Then I had to get up to go pay. Lo and behold, there was an automatic 20% tip. Now it became clear why she didn't bother taking care of her table. The food is so so and the service was horrific. I won't go back.
