We turned to Hilltop Pest Solutions toward the end of a long, painful process of ridding our home of rodents. Western Exterminators did some checking around and pulled once we started hearing big noises in our walls and attic. After some comparing around, I hired Green Rodent Restoration to extract whatever large creature(s) was knocking around us. They succeeded in that, though the service was not well coordinated and their communication was weak -- and they were hopeless when it became clear that one or more rats was still roaming around our house and basement. That's when I happened to get a strong recommendation for Moises Diaz of Hilltop Pest Solutions. Moses instituted a carefully thought out program of luring what turned out to be one very large, very smart trap-adverse rat to his eventual death. It took about 2 weeks, during which Moises often came to our home and I texted him each morning with a report. The fee he requested was relatively small, a real value. In the end, I gave him a hearty bonus, along with some home baked cookies. My husband and I are endlessly grateful to him and recommend Hilltop Pest Solutions at the highest possible level. My wife and I have been living in our apartment for 8 years. We don't have pets, we keep our place really clean and we have a 3 week old newborn baby. My wife started getting bites and she said these have to be fleas. I told her," there's no fleas because they're biting you and not biting me." So she started doing some investigating on our floor and DID find live fleas. I felt so bad because I didn't think there were any. So that night we killed maybe 4 or 5. The next morning I went outside to exercise and as I was resting I looked down and found maybe 9-10 fleas biting my leg. Since I was sweating a lot they were all on me from the heat from my body. So that was it. I was really annoyed. We diatomaceous earthed, baking soda, set up soap water traps, bought a light trap with a sticky pad to catch fleas and slept in the bedroom that night. I contacted our landlord about our problem saying there were fleas inside our apartment and outside. He responded with," ill contact the management company". About 4 days in my patience was wearing very thin, 4 nights in our bedroom, constantly checking legs before we enter the bedroom with flashlights, newborn stuck in the room and constantly checking if there were fleas all the time, watching tv on a laptop, making milk outside in the kitchen and coming back to the bedroom , and no contact from the landlord. That's when I hit up Hilltop from the great reviews I knew they were the one. I called and the most friendliest voices, I believe her name was Esther. Sooooooo polite and understanding of our situation. Told her about our 3 week old and how much it sucks not to hear from landlord, it was such an inconvenience. She heard me out for like 10 minutes haha. She had a appointment real soon in 2 days and we were so happy. She was also saying they can do organic in the apartment since we have a baby and do traditional outside. Appointment day was here and when I met Moises he was super personable, friendly and cracked jokes haha. He saw all the diatomaceous earth in our apartment and cracked some jokes haha. He walked around the whole entire building and perimeter. I was very cautious and asked him so many questions because of the stuff they were gonna spray. He was really honest and told me what they were gonna use. Also, I asked what's better organic or traditional in the apartment. He was saying traditional is better since it kills them, and their eggs. So we opted for traditional outside and inside. I paid and he went to work as we left for 4.5 hours. We came home and there wasn't a strong smell big we did air it out. Almost, one week later! I've seen 1 flea outside and it was on me. I would most definitely recommend Hilltop and Moises. Moises showed up, assessed the problem, gave me a very reasonable price for the work, and went straight at it the same day. He was very thorough and persistent. He didn't just plug a bunch of openings, set traps, and say "See ya later!" He kept coming back weekly until there was no sign of a rat anywhere. He was totally willing to do it old school--without poisons. He was cautious, considerate, and super smart about putting traps where my dog wouldn't set them off and possibly injure himself. The last remaining rat was totally wise to both the wood and plastic snap traps, but wasn't so smart that he/she wouldn't try to curl up under the stove on a sticky trap. The rest is history.
