I travel frequently and this Hilton is underwhelming. The lady who checked me in was cold and unfriendly, the elevators are slow as molasses, and the hotel is located in a loud downtown area where the thumping of nearby nightclubs make it tough to get a good night's sleep. Good luck getting housekeeping- the sign said you have to request it, and even then it only starts after the fourth night (after most visitors are gone). Nonetheless, the hotel is clean and modern with good dining and bar venues. Unfortunately the shortcomings don't make up for these positives. read more

Two stars for the view. This was definitely the weirdest hotel stay I've ever had. Upon arrival, the room we requested was not ready yet (it was after 3PM). We were offered a different room on a different floor which was fine. The first night, two security officers came to our room for talking too loud? Apparently the room next door complained. Instead of front desk calling our room to tell us to keep it down, they sent security? The officers looked embarrassed and said they knew we were not partying or anything (no tv or music on) but that the walls were really thin and someone had reported it. Okay, weird but maybe understandable. On the day we were to check out, housekeeping knocked and then proceeded to enter our room at around 8-9AM. I was under the assumption there was no housekeeping unless requested? She quickly backed out when she saw we were still sleeping. We then tried to shower, wash our face, etc but there was no water. I called down to the front desk and was told the water was shut off for maintenance. No one had informed us of this the day prior. When we went to check out the concierge was extremely apologetic. He said he would refund us a partial refund for the trouble of the no water. I did not ask for this, he offered it. He called me on my cell phone a couple of times after we left about this refund and told me that it had been taken care of via the third party site I had booked the room. When I didn't see the charge back or any communication more than a week later, out of curiosity I reached out to the site I booked from and they said they couldn't refund me after contacting the hotel because they said there had been no incidents during our stay. What? Not worth the trouble to fight this, but wow. Just wanted to share our experience. The skyline view was awesome though. read more

First time in Austin and I love it! Came here with a friend to visit Texas to see if she wantS move here and make a new life for herself. We decided to stay at the Hilton Austin and it was a great decision. Hilton Austin is very clean, the workers are super friendly especially Hector. Hector was very helpful, personable, informative and located in the heart of downtown. We got a dope room over looking the city, the vibe here is chill, people here are so friendly. I love the Texas hospitality. I see why so many Californians are moving here in droves. Stayed here for 1 night this week for a conference for work. When I first walked in I expected this to be a really nice Hilton. However, throughout my stay things kept going downhill. My room was enough for what I needed but there were a bunch of wet marks on the bathroom door that made it seem dirty. I didn't touch or mess with them - wasn't sure what it was. Secondly, the towels were so thin! Typically I don't care, but again, knowing this was a Hilton I had higher expectations. My agent that I hosted ordered room service and she received cold Mac n cheese. When they called room service to let them know, they told her to warm it up in the microwaves. Y'all....the microwaves are on the LOBBY floor. She was on the 21st floor. The service at the bar in the hotel was really bad and extremely slow. The service in the taco restaurant was pretty bad. The waiter we had for breakfast was so rude and made a few comments that didn't sit well with our table. I went to check out (Wednesday) and there were 3 people working the desks with a long line. Everything moved so slowly and this hotel seems extremely understaffed. It led to a less than great experience. read more

*LOCATION* 5/5 - This is the main reason you'll pick this hotel. It's walking distance to basically everything you'll probably want to check out in Austin. Couldn't have picked a better location *HOTEL AMENITIES* 1/5 - OK, so this hotel has basically 0 amenities. The pool is tiny, when I went it was beyond over crowded. The Jacuzzi - The water was lukewarm (can you believe it?) ....they didn't even have the jacuzzi working. What a waste The gym was beyond basic, a couple treadmills and some dumbells. Absolutely awful. The executive lounge they used to have for Diamond Members? GONE. *ROOM* 3/5 - The room was clean and decor / color was pretty modern, which I liked. Bed was comfortable, the TV is pretty nice, they had plenty of space for me to get work done. The room was smaller than what i'm used to from most Hiltons i've stayed in. The bathroom has really good lighting. Overall just a basic room, nothing to write home about, but no complaints either. Middle of the road *STAFF/SERVICE* 5/5 - Very friendly, welcoming staff. Never had any issues with them. *RESTAURANTS* 2/5 - The hours on all their restaurants and affiliates are pretty bad. Their hours are a mess and even room service stops pretty early which was annoying. I didn't even get to use my food voucher when I went as result. The taco place is extremely overrated as well. Avoid it. *ADDITIONAL REMARKS * 1/5 - Another issue was the fact that food delivery can not go up to deliver to your room, so you'll have to go downstairs to grab your food, which is pretty annoying as well. Parking is $40/ night. Which I find absolutely ludicrous but hey, welcome to Austin, CA right? I only stayed on this hotel because out of all the Hiltons in the area, it's the least terrible one, including the Canopy. This hotel is great if all you care about is a place to crash after a long day of touring Austin, you'll get a good night sleep but as a Hilton, I really expected nice amenities. I stayed at this hotel for a work thing for a few nights this month and overall my stay was fine. Location-wise you really can't beat this. You're steps away from the convention center, there are a number of good eating options close by, there's a Starbucks IN the hotel lobby and you are within walking distance of many of the big things downtown. But that said, I really did not feel like this hotel commanded the $400+ per night price. Maybe I'm just spoiled, and I realize that this is a downtown hotel in a major metro. But it seemed a bit pricey. For the conference, the negotiated rate was just about $400 per night, and the one night I stayed extra that was not under the conference rate was more like $500. Pricey. Anyway, moving on. My room was perfectly fine. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. The bathroom was clean and I really dug the huge square shower head. There was one of those little coffee makers in the room, which I was happy to see because I like hot water for tea. And there was a nice desk, a TV, etc. At first I thought there was no minifridge, but it was just hidden in one of the cabinets. And at first I thought there were no glasses except the disposable cups for the coffee machine, but again, they were just hidden in a cabinet. Honestly, my biggest complaint about the room itself was that there were scuff marks all over the doors (see photo). It's not that it was dirty, per se. But it just did not make a great first impression. The front desk staff was generally OK, and the front door/bellman staff was excellent. I did have an issue with my lock on my door malfunctioning. Eventually they ended up having to send a maintenance guy to my room to basically jump start the dead lock. I was annoyed but he was really great and I appreciated that he asked for my ID before letting me into the room. So overall, decent hotel, decent stay. Just pricey in my opinion. read more

I would give them ZERO stars if I could. They are extremely rude and dismissive. I had several issues while staying at the hotel and instead of being helpful, the front desk manager literally hung up on me- twice! I thought it was a mistake the first time and called back but she literally hung up on me again. She actually told me she didn't want to hear my "complaints" while I was "sitting in her hotel". I have been traveling for work for multiple decades; I've actually never heard that before- nor have I paid north of $2k to stay at a hotel only to be hung up on twice when I had several issues with my experience. Do not stay here. Go elsewhere- or better yet, stay at a Marriott, where they actually care about you. Beyond the issue of how I was treated, I had issues with basic cleanliness. I had several hairs in my bathtub when I arrived. I called to have it addressed, despite what was promised, they never sent anyone to properly clean it. I cleaned the bathtub myself before I used it. I had a great stay at the Hilton in downtown Austin last weekend. The room was very clean and all furniture and finishes looked nice and updated. I picked my room before arriving and was reassigned and I sure am glad because I had this amazing view of downtown from my newly assigned room. We arrived around 3:15PM and the check in line was quite lengthy with about 5-6 parties in front of us and 2 people working at the desk. Luckily, I remembered I had already been sent a virtual key through my Hilton app so I didn't need to wait in the line and was able to go straight to my room. Parking is located in a parking garage. You can prepay for parking when you book and if you have the Hilton app you can access parking garage using your app upon arriving to the hotel which makes for a great hassle-free parking experience. read more

My wife and I visited Austin in July 2024. We have never been to the city, so I picked this hotel based on its location. It is walking distance from 6th Street, Rainey Street, East Austin, and (while a little farther) South Congress. My wife and I walked everywhere as none of the bars, restaurants and other tourist attractions were more than a 30 min walk away. Initially, I was put off by the amount of homeless between the hotel and 6th street, but we never had any problems - and we were walking around at all times of the day. If this is something that worries you, the subway is located behind the hotel and Lyfts are around 5-15$ to anywhere in the city. We enjoyed their rooftop pool and bar a lot. The staff at Starbucks is excellent. Lala was very kind and helpful. I'd recommend the hotel if you want to explore all the attractions Austin has to offer. The Visitor Center is located right behind it, which is the location the double decker bus tour picks you up. read more

I've stayed in many Hiltons before, but this Hilton Austin did not live up to the Hilton name. First, my boyfriend surprised me on this trip by proposing to me (!!). A few weeks before our reservation, my [now fiancé!] tried to see if there was anything special they could suggest/do prior to our arrival but they refused to help. Definitely a bummer on the whole occasion. *** [see below for which hotel actually did help]. This pretty much set the tone for the rest of our stay. The front desk staff were pretty cold and acted like they didn't want to be bothered by us. I was surprised that the hotel didn't offer complimentary bottles of water (especially given the 102-104 degree weather). I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't offer at least 2 bottles for the room, (even water for a fee), so I asked if we were supposed to have any water in our room, to which the front staff rudely replied, "nah, you got to pay for that at the vending machine." It seems like the nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING. Parking was $40/night. Had I known this, I would've booked another hotel that offered free parking (or at the very least, half that much!) The pool was pretty small given the amount of rooms here. It was crowded all day that we didn't even get to use it. To add to the busyness, it should be noted this hotel is ALL ABOUT the conference center. I didn't realize that when booking. They should have added that to their name like, "Hilton Austin Convention Center Hotel." Probably 90% of guests I encountered had a conference badge on. The lobby was full of attendees going to/coming from the convention center. I felt pretty stupid for staying here. The rooms were solid. Clean/did the job. Nothing special or amazing about them. Ice bucket, coffee maker and glasses were hidden in a cabinet under the tv. (Not like we used the coffee machine given the lack of water provided). Overall, unless you're attending a conference at the Austin convention center, I would recommend staying somewhere else. Definitely not worth the amount of money we paid. I'm very disappointed with Hilton. *** My [now fiancé] called the Hyatt Regency on Lady Bird Lake and THEY helped him with the proposal even though we weren't staying there. They arranged a special private boat for us to take out during sunset, had dinner catered for us to enjoy on our private boat, and truly made the night special. From the AC not working properly so I sweated in my sleep the 2 nights I was here, to the cold food from the restaurant in the hotel they served me, and last but not least the bugs. I never do reviews on anything but I really feel this is worth mentioning because I've stayed at plenty of hotels and this was by far the worst hotel I have ever been in. Firstly, Lala the receptionist was the sweetest person ever!!! We went for our 1 year anniversary and she gave us a free breakfast at the taco spot. She is amazing, she definitely needs a raise!! Secondly, once we arrived to the taco spot within the hotel, we told our waiter we had free breakfast and he was completely standoffish, rolled his eyes and rude! Not once did he come to our table to check on us. The HOST had to come out of his way, checking in on us so we tipped him instead. I was so excited to eat there for our first meal on our special day.. the food was pretty good, but that waiter made me SO uncomfortable, that I just wanted to leave immediately, such a shame. This guy is clearly only nice to people when he expects something in return. This was my first trip since giving birth, and I just felt awful after that encounter. If moaning sex noise doesn't disturb your sleep at 2:30 AM the first night, music at 2:30 AM the second night will get you for sure. The room here was nice. We upgraded to an executive room on the 25th room. You get access to a private lounge that serves a continental breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic drinks. The staff here are not as hospitable compared to other Hilton properties I have visited especially the front desk staff. They are efficient but just lack any warmth or hospitable attitude. They are meh. However, Jacob, our concierge, in the executive lounge had a great personality. He was upbeat, warm, and welcoming. He should be promoted to customer relations coach and train the staff down at the front desk. Bravo! The Austin Taco Project was delicious. We tried their peppered mule and coffee cocktail. Both were very good. They also have some great stouts. Their tacos were delicious and creative. We ordered their duo of salsas appetizer with added guacamole. The salsa and guacamole were good but the chips were pretty lackluster. Overall, we had a great time here. The hotel is well-kept with a nice ambiance. The rooms were lovely and clean. The view was amazing. The location is excellent! We walked to our ACL concert, the Oktoberfest festivities, and 6th street. They should work on their digital key capabilities. I tried checking in and out digitally and both times I was instructed by the app to see the front desk. Booooo! The digital key worked well with the elevators, room, and executive lounge though. Despite upgrading to the executive suite, the two water bottles in the room had $2.50 tags on them unless a Hilton Honors members of silver or higher status. Being a new Honors member means nothing I take it. Upgrading means nothing as well. Seems silly especially when there's complimentary water bottles in the executive lounge. Come on now. read more

Truly awful from the beginning to the end. The location is nice, and the Starbucks is nice but that's about it. The rooms are ok, the bed is not bad, but if you enjoy being kept up until 2am every night or later due to the raging, thumping, headache inducing music coming from god knows where - then you might enjoy this spot?? If the music doesn't keep you up then the drunk people in the hallways definitely will. This hotel is huge, and the amount of people packing into the elevators for the conferences that are in this hotel are also kind of scary. The housekeeping staff replaces the towels and soap daily, but they never replaced the coffee bar or shampoos/conditioners. I had to ask for both to be refilled. The water in the sink is SCALDING hot. You either get cold water or scalding hot. I actually still have burns on my hands from how hot the water is. To top it off, I asked if they had a robe and slippers because the towels are tiny. Nope. No robes. I find that very odd for a Hilton Hotel. You can't open the windows either. Also - the light switches are so bizarre. You have to push the buttons so hard for them to turn on - and the lamps on the nightstands are sooo far from the bed you can barely reach to turn them off. I will not be returning to this hotel ever. I got no sleep during my entire trip. If you go out for dinner and have to Lyft/uber back anytime after 6pm from Thursday through Sunday - good luck. There are drunk people walking through the streets everywhere. Streets blocked off completely and a whole slew of low riders blocking every entrance. Do not stay here if you value sleep and sanity. The Hilton Austin was the conference hotel for my recent meeting. I stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed restful sleep in a comfy bed. I used all 3 hotel restaurants and the bar. I didn't have a car so valet wasn't an issue for me. But all the staff members that I met were helpful and friendly. The location was great since my larger meetings were across the street at the Convention Center. Pros: Helpful & friendly staff. The beds were super comfy. The pool area as gorgeous and really relaxing. The gym area was first rate. There is a spa on site and I heard the massage therapists were excellent. Quality fluffy towels. High tech lights that could be controlled bedside. Cons: Slow elevators that sucked my will to live. No fan in the bathroom so fogged mirrors after a hot shower. My friend and I were attended a conference at the Hilton in April. We reserved early, with a special "conference code", but two nights was still equal to about $480... which seems suspiciously close to their real, non-special rate. Anyway, when we got there, it took a few minutes to check in but everybody behind the desk was very nice. We asked to split the cost of the room on both our cards, and the guy went ahead, took our cards, and said he split the cost and we didn't have to do anything else. Unfortunately, a week after we got home, we realized one of us got charged the full price and the other person not at all. So I'm not sure exactly what went wrong. We had an awesome view of Austin, and our hotel room was a generic hotel room, similar to Marriott or basically any other fairly nice hotel. We had 2 queen beds, a TV, etc. Internet connection was about $7/day, which I refused to pay on principle. The temperature in the room was easily controlled and we had no major complaints. There was a coffee shop downstairs that wasn't bad, but not great. The conference rooms for the conference were nice, but the layout was a little confusing, and sometimes I had to walk really far to run from one conference room to another in order to hear a talk. We didn't try any of the other restaurants or room service in the hotel, so I can't speak much to that. However, the hotel is in a fantastic location, right near all the bars and restaurants we wanted to go to, and also next door to the convention center. Overall, the hotel stay was nice but fairly forgettable. The prices were a tiny bit high, but it was also a great location. All the service people were nice, but they also messed up on our credit card payment. I'd say the Yelp three stars equivalent of "A-OK" pretty much sums up our stay. read more

Great atmosphere and were very accommodating in regards for us to keep the night going. Due to lower occupancy they put on away from other guests and just asked us to try and keep it down for those that may still be able to hear if we were too loud. I have been a loyal customer of the Hilton brand for more than ten years. The Hilton Austin lived up to its namesake. I was happy with my recent stay. The front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly. I arrived a little after noon on a Thursday and was able to check in immediately. I got a nice room on the 21st floor with a view of the skyline. My room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable and soft. The pillows were a bit too soft but I used two and it was fine. I get cold easily so I wish there was a thicker blanket/comforter but I put on a hoodie for bed and I warmed up. I loved the rain shower head. It is always a luxury to have one when I visit a different city. The quality of the bath products were a plus. After a nice hot shower, you will smell pretty. On my first day, I ate lunch at the Liberty Tavern. The food was overpriced but decent. If you don't have time and need something quick, it works in a pinch. The cocktail I got with Tito's Vodka, St. Germaine and cranberry juice was good. The hotel was decorated nicely. The lobby was a great spot to people watch while sitting in a comfy sofa. I was in town for a concert so I wanted to be located centrally. The Hilton is blocks from Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill, Iron Works BBQ and Easy Tiger among others. There is a substantial amount of construction downtown Austin so I would recommend taking Lyft or Uber to get around the city as opposed to renting a car. It isn't expensive. Take advantage of the locals driving you to get suggestions for restaurants and things to see/do. The only negative about my recent stay was the music/noise from the bars near the hotel as part of Dirty Sixth. I have extremely sensitive hearing so the noise was quite noticeable. Also, the walls of the hotel are on the thin side so if someone was walking on their bathroom tile floor or dropped items next door or above me, I could hear it. I used my Pandora app to put some soothing spa music on to try and drown the outside noise. read more

Everything about this stay has been MASSIVELY disappointing. Front desk staff are rude and dismissive, and continually give out conflicting information. I'm paying $170 a night, plus $40 a day for parking and can't even get a hot breakfast - which is included in the price of my room! This is probably the most abominable, dishonest stay I've ever had in a Hilton. Absolutely unacceptable. If all I wanted was a room and no service, I could have done better at a Motel 6. The hotel was clean, we enjoyed the amenities and seating in the lobby. Food at the hotel was horrible. The eggs were dry, the restaurant downstairs had smelly brisket meat, room service didn't know how to make a simple pizza or quesadilla (ingredients were just wrong). The Austin Taco project was amazing. We stayed in a suite on the 23rd floor and although it was clean it was very roughed up. There were wires loose on the floor (I have a crawling infant), the walls and furniture were scratched and stained. Usually I'll see a scratch or two and it's fine, but this room had small damages EVERY WHERE which became unpleasant to look at, makes you feel like you're in a cheap run down hotel after while. read more

Hilton Austin was the first big convention hotel built and the first few floors is hotel rooms and above it condos. It was a new concept at the time and many thought it was weird, and who would wants to live in a high rise condo? Years later more big hotels are present and lots of condo buildings. I have been in this hotel many times and the lobby/first floor is pretty big. You will find a nice bar, lounge seating and Cannon + Belle restaurant, and Starbucks. There is a very nice store that sell high quality apparel and a lot of it has an Austin flavor tourists need to check out. They added a new restaurant called the Austin Taco Project. Tacos is huge in Austin and always see this place busy. This hotel is not dated where they keep it fresh line places to remotely work and plugs for your devices. They setup a temporary stage during events. It is also located next to the Capital MetroRail station and steps away from 6th Street. I've always considered the Hilton brand to be a good one, albeit nothing special. Our recent stay on this property, however, prompted me to reactivate my long-ignored Hilton Honors membership. First, this hotel's location is outstanding -- right across the street from the Austin Convention Center, and right around the corner from Sixth Street. Not to mention, the capitol is a 5-10 minute walk from the lobby. The service here on our visit was impeccable, with only one minor hiccup (more on that later). Our room on the 26th floor was well-appointed -- writing/computer desk, reading chair, fridge and bathroom with plenty of carefully selected shampoos, soaps and so on. Not to mention, everything was expertly serviced and replenished by the friendly housekeeping staff. The 26th floor adds much value to any stay, because your room key allows you entrance to the Executive Lounge, where you can go grab a beer or bottle of wine, and a complimentary cookie and some coffee or tea, or a soda. It also serves a continental breakfast (also complimentary) and offers a space for computer services, whether you want to check your email or conduct business in your pajamas. Plus, the view downtown Austin is spectacular from here. Again, the level of service from hotel employees was spectacular throughout our two-night visit, but the bar in the hotel lobby left something to be desired. We had a dinner reservation and decided to have a cocktail or two at the hotel before we embarked. In their defense, it was busy, but there were open tables. We came in and grabbed a seat and waited about 10 minutes for the server to take our drink orders. Another 10 minutes passed and we decided that they weren't that interested in our business. And we left. ~ Everyone is entitled to a bad night here and there. It's unfortunate that this bad night left us with an equally bad first impression. That said, those lost 20 minutes aren't a deal-breaker for us. This is a prime hotel with an outstanding group of employees and a great location. We were on 22nd floor and had to wear earplugs to try to sleep. Loud music every night we were there, Thursday thru Sunday until 2am. Only 1 or 2 elevators working so there was always a 5 to 10 minute wait in line for the elevators. We ordered a pizza from hotel restaurant that was so greasy we used every napkin we had to try a mop it up, and by then the pizza crust was soft and soggy. And we were charged $35 for one alcohol beverage. Ridiculous! We will never stay there again. read more

I stayed one night and was there less than 10 hours. The hotel is in a great location. The design and setup of the room was nice. Then the stay was ruined by the visitor in the picture. Hopefully they do the work necessary to rid the hotel of pests so future visitors don't have the same experience. read more

I have video of the clean rag before I started cleaning. The rooms have very little insulation. There was a party all night in the room next to mine. The noise is not acceptable but the lack of detail to cleaning is inexcusable. I would not recommend the hotel other than it being convenient to downtown. read more

So much to say. I requested a quiet room and was placed in room 1405. I was awakened the next morning at 5:00 am by loud talking, which I realized was coming from next door. I experienced the same thing later that evening and again the next morning. Being totally exhausted from not getting a good night's sleep for two nights, I went to the lobby and asked a security person if I could speak to the manager. He took me to the front desk where I shared my issue with the person who I thought was the manager. He immediately started lecturing me, and said I should have called security. He was very aggressive and I told him I didn't appreciate being lectured to. I told him I had requested a quiet room, and he said that they had put me in a corner roo. Well, 1405 IS NOT a corner room! It has an adjoining room next to it, which is the corner room and the walls are paper thin. I quickly realized the problem was not the person next door, as someone else moved into that room. The walls are so thin, that even with my TV on, and even when I was in the bathroom, I could hear every word spoken next door. What else. The bed is comfortable. Room service: The food totally sucks. I ordered two eggs for breakfast one morning, and they were delivered simply in the bottom of a cardboard box! The food is nasty, and how it is packaged is even nastier. Of course, they don't clean your room, since COVID. Bottom line, I paid about $1200 for 4 nights, and left exhausted. If you're going to stay there, don't stay in any of the rooms ending in 05, and don't take your complaints to the management because nothing will happen except they will blame you for the problem. read more

The hotel is beautiful and everyone is very nice. I was expecting more out of the room based how much money it costs. The priced was doubled for the weekend which was very disappointing. The food was less the desirable and breakfast was serviced cold. I stood at the bar for 10 minutes Trying to order a drink but bartender never came around, so I left. I probably would not come back. I'm not a huge fan of big chain hotels, both cheapo and expensive. For conferences I typically like to stay on site or as close as possible. This hotel was just ok and thankfully clean but somewhat short of what I'd think is a 400 dollar a night location. For starters, the room is ok. Nothing to write home about for normally 400ish a night (and 250ish as a special deal for a conference rate). I guess my expectations were higher (like, if this were a $60 Good Nite Inn, sure, I guess it would be even fine with me to see dead roaches in the corner. Because it was laughably cheap already.). I would never in my right mind book this place except for the fact that the University's paying for it and I wanted to be as close to the conference center as possible. Pros: Starbucks attached downstairs 2 restaurants near a trendy foodie area a few blocks away Room was pretty clean (but a little cramped - double queen room). Good water pressure and hot water works fast. Staff has been pretty friendly and helpful. Cons: Walls are paper thin. I heard shouting next door thru the door that separates the adjacent room and the action movie these assholes were watching at 7am, machine gun sounds and all. At 5:30 I was awoken once already by the sound of slamming metal doors and loud ppl talking in the halls. At this point I can only remedy my state of mind with the strongest, largest coffee I can handle short of heart palpitations . Thank you Hilton Austin for 4-5 hours of sleep before a talk. Pricey AF! Although I'd assume all the other hotels nearby are comparable. I don't know what I was thinking, but I put myself in a room on an "upper floor" -- I ended up on floor 24. The elevators do not skip floors so if you're on an upper floor, good luck, lol. When mentioned at checkout the best they could offer was adding this concern to my Hilton honors profile. Adjacent area can look a little seedy, even though the conference center is literally steps out the door. It's near a lot of pay parking lots and a couple blocks past gets a lot better. So loud! It's 1am and as much as I enjoy Selena as a blast from the past, I can hear it from outside and I'm on the 24th floor. Holy smokes how loud is the rest of the floors?? Things are damaged and don't seem to be fixed. Aside from unsurprising scuff marks on doors and such, deadbolt on my room was hanging off the hinge (still sort of worked), and elevators buttons were cracked. Somehow I doubt the rowdy participants of the AAAS conference broke all this shit in 3 nights (but they did clog up all Yelp-worthy food options within a 2-3 block radius). For 400 a night you can't replace things that costs a few bucks from Home Depot? Some toiletries appear used. I get it's Peter Thomas Roth shampoo but um seriously? It appeared half used with dried suds all over the outside, or might have leaked all over itself. They did replace upon request. Some things in the bathroom not cleaned, such as the soap tray.
