It's a new-looking stretch of suburban malls at the edge of the city. The drive to the airport or downtown is not terribly long. There were some notable hiccups, including an elevator that didn't work (thankfully there was a second elevator bank on the opposite side of the building that they did not tell me about initially. I also was charged for dining at the restaurant despite the fact that I did not actually do this; thankfully they removed the charge without a huge hassle. The room itself served fine and I got decent sleep. The hotel poo;l was one of the busier ones I've ever seen. They did have a small 24/7 marketplace for people needing a snack or an essential in a hurry. read more

We went there last weekend. We had the best time. This place is beautiful and peaceful. The pool is huge and the hot tub was fantastic. The restaurant/ bar Arrow had great food. We ate there for breakfast and dinner. The food was delicious however at times the service was slow. The restaurant gets busy in the evening. We were told they were short staffed. read more

This was my second time at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris. First, was an all day work event in 2017 and this time was an awards celebration. It is very nice hotel that I would possibly stay one day with a spectacular lobby and bar area. The food was great with Chicken Piccata and potatoes but the broccoli was suspect. The bread was very warm and delicious along with the salad with the balsamic dressing and the a great dessert too. Also, the food was great then too. The staff were accommodating with requests, like filling up water and taking plates away after eating. The people at the check in were wonderful in giving me the wifi password and helping me get it on my phone. I enjoyed being at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris and would be great to stay there. read more

Beautiful hotel! Great customer service- A very warm and inviting lobby greets you as you enter with a huge fireplace and comfortable seating area. There is a restaurant on the first floor. The rooms are spacious. I am in a king suite that has a overly large bathroom and a sitting room separate from the bedroom. There is an executive lounge on the first floor that has a free breakfast buffet dinner, snacks, and beverages. Located near many restaurants and a mall . It smells wonderful in the lobby! Very clean -definitely one of the best Hilton properties. There is also an indoor pool and a huge weight room on the first floor off of the elevators . read more

We was traveling on our way to Cleveland OH. And stopped in this hotel for a nights rest to break up the drive. We were looking for a hotel with a restaurant is why we chose this hotel. Upon entering the hotel it's very nice. Check in was easy, the lady checking us in was friendly and kind. Our room was clean, up to date with plenty of plugs for electronics. We ate supper and breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Staff were friendly and both meals and service were very good. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

We stayed at this location for Memorial Day weekend. The hotel was completely booked. When you walk into the lobby it is gorgeous. Very well decorated and clean. They have a great gym, and a bar and restaurant on site. They also have a self serve store with snacks and lite bites that is very convenient. When we opened the door to our room it was so hot! We called down to the front desk and they sent someone up right away. The floor was soaking wet under the unit which didn't feel like a quick fix. After much resistance from the customer service team they finally moved us to their "emergency room" Overall we love staying Hilton because of the consistent experience and cleanliness. read more

Maybe it's a COVID supply/demand phenomenon, but my rate here was just $89/night (December 2020). For reference, every hotel in the Columbus area was dirt cheap as ***rightfully*** no one seems to be traveling this year. My travel was a business necessity and first and foremost I wanted a hotel that was quiet and relaxing. I'd definitely recommend the Hilton Polaris as it met all of these expectations. read more

I don't see any reviews that talk about their COVID adaptations, so I'll give my 2 cents. Stayed here the weekend of 10/9-10 for a wedding. It was very pleasant. Mask wearing is required throughout the hotel, they ask that you limit 2 people on the elevator and housekeeping is on request. The stuff we didn't like - they didn't have the restaurants open for carryout or room service and no breakfast. The bar closed at 10 which was a bummer for us. We got back from the rehearsal dinner and wanted a drink - but no go. The bartender directed me to the gift shop where I bought a small bottle of wine ($21 ouch) and 2 beers and some snacks. The hotel itself was nice though, it's updated, everything feels new and clean making for a comfortable stay. The beds, sheets and pillows were great, we slept wonderfully. I was in a king room w/parlor, the bathroom was awesome, really big, the shower had great pressure and the towels were fluffy and plentiful. Didn't hear any room noise. We used one of the parlor rooms in the King as a gaming area to play board games and had a lot of fun, so it worked out well. I would definitely stay there again - lots of eating and shopping options nearby also. read more

I found this hotel to be an extremely good value during our recent stay. Despite the fact that the hotel lobby was being renovated, the hotel was very clean and the staff was helpful. We had a double king room and it was spacious and clean. Everything is updated, including a big flat screen TV, and all of the usual amenities. The pool area was better than most hotels and the fitness room was far better than other properties. We will definitely stay here again. read more

This hotel was awesome! We needed a very last minute reservation, I called and they were able to accommodate. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly, and willing to help us with anything we needed. The location worked out perfect, we were close to everything that we needed. The pool being closed didn't bother us at all. We stayed with our two young kids, and they were very comfortable, which we were worried about. Very spacious, very clean. I booked a stay at the Hilton Polaris for Saturday, 9/14/2019 to celebrate my wife and I's anniversary. I booked a suite on the executive floor because the photos online looked impressive. Impressed I was! A gorgeous tub, nice standing shower with rainfall head, and perhaps what was most surprising, a separate bathroom off the living room with toilet and sink. I'm getting ahead of myself. Upon entering the hotel, I was taken aback by how gorgeous and huge the lobby area was. Your eyes will immediately go to the fireplace, and the hotel offered fresh lemon/orange infused water next to reception. The agents at the front desk were kind and accommodating, and even congratulated us on our anniversary after I made mention of it during my reservation. We were also given vouchers for two free appetizers/drinks at the bar and two vouchers for breakfast in the morning; this was due to being on the executive floor (which is closed on the weekend). Shortly after settling into our room, we received a knock on the door. The hotel was kind enough to send us a bottle of chilled champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, along with a very nice card...we were both blown away by this, so thank you Hilton! Breakfast was way better than typical hotel fare. Various juices (cranberry, orange, grapefruit, apple, not sure what else), hot oatmeal, scrambled eggs, hash browns, french toast, bacon/sausage, fresh fruit, cereals and pastries. A very minor detail...they had the cutest tiny little bottles of ketchup and tabasco (we're talking MRE size)...I hate to admit that I took an extra bottle of tabasco home because it was that precious. Minor con is gift shop selection; only a few varieties of soda and frozen items along with chips/candy and toiletry essentials like shampoo, toothpaste, aspirin, etc. I can't hold it against the hotel, but it would be nice to have a wider range of stuff. Incredibly clean hotel with some of the most attentive staff I have experienced in quite some time. In particular a distinguished 'older' gentleman who works evenings was beyond helpful and appeared genuinely interested in each guest. The heating/ac was somewhat noisy on my first visit but not problem on a second stay. Love the convenience to walk too all of the shops and restaurants at the adjacent mall. First night was good. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Second night didn't go as well. Although the issues that occurred were not the hotel's fault, the handling of the second issue was not what one would expect. The first issue was a false fire alarm during the middle of the night. I believe it was around 2:30 am. Things like that happen and it wasn't a huge deal even if it disrupted everyone's sleep. However, once the alarm and strobe lights stopped going off, we heard the sound of water leaking into our bathroom. I went to check it out and discovered water pouring down onto the floor through the light fixture. I called the front desk and they said a water main burst on the floor above. This turned out to be untrue. After about 20 minutes they sent someone to our room. He was nice, but didn't do an especially thorough job. The toilet seat was left covered with water and we were left with only 1 towel. Also, we were treated to the sound of water dripping into a bucket for about 30 minutes as the remaining water made its way from the room above us. He told us what actually occurred - the occupant of the room above us fell asleep in the shower. When I checked out the following morning the person at the front desk asked about our stay. I told her what occurred and she sort of half laughed. She said, "I heard about that. Oh well, it happens." An apology would have been a more appropriate response and many hotels would have offered some sort of bill adjustment. read more

Don't stay here if you desire a full night's sleep. They added sensors to the A/C and heat controls. If you are not moving, the A/C quickly turns off and the room gets warm. You will wake up in the middle of the night due to the heat, the A/C will kick on it will then cool you down enough to let you fall asleep again to repeat the cycle. I have asked for help twice, was told it was addressed, yet the issue remains. read more

However if I would have known that the bar restaurant was closed and could not handle keeping breakfast running during my 10 day stay. I would have not stayed here. Also, there is a restaurant next door that has outside band that played at night during the week and gym air conditioning never worked even after I complained twice. 85* degrees. The rating is actually 3.5 but I wanted to round up. Everything was clean, all the staff were great, the bed was comfortable. We had access to the executive lounge and that was cool. And the 17 arrows restaurant is actually really good. Only complaints are that the heated pool, wasn't. It was pretty cold all day. The hot tube, wasn't that hot and was producing weird bubbles all day. And lastly, paid $20 to watch a movie in the room, then got home and saw it was on Netflix. That's kind of dishonest. But we'll stay there again, it's better than most hotels. read more

Bed linens were stained by a previous user, long hairs were found in the bed and in the shower. When I asked if someone could come and change the linen, I was told no but was told to come down to the front desk to pick up linens to change the bed myself. read more

The hotel itself is a nice place to stay. Lobby and rooms are nice. Our wedding guests were comfortable. The hotel offers a shuttle but there were long waits our wedding weekend. In terms of hosting an event, our wedding went pretty smoothly. There is a nice park with a beautiful Japanese Garden close by for photos. The team worked hard the day of the wedding. My issue with the place is less than two weeks before the event our primary contact left and the hotel/she gave us only a few days notice before her departure. It was quite a shock to an already stressed bride, such short notice before the 400 person event. Thankfully, we had already hired a separate event coordinator but if we had not, this sort of change could really hamper a complex event. However, planning for nine months there were still things that were missed with the change of hands. They served the champagne the wrong way completely different than what we had discussed at our tasting and the napkins were laid out incorrectly. The hotel did give me 15,000 points for the inconvenience, thats about half the number of points to get a standard room free for a night in most cities. The minimums here are steep and they charge for room rental for both reception and lunch basically. Our event started at three pm and we had to pay the lunch fee even though we did not host one to reserve the space. We liked the venue because it was centrally located for our guests and the rooms and banquet areas are nice enough. With a 400 person reception the venue options in Columbus are limited. read more

I can finally share the truth. So you would think this hotel would be lovely to get married yes, just the building itself is good but I'm not talking about the service here. I cannot recommend this place anymore for any bride or groom after my experience during my wedding. I went in for 2 taste testings and you would think the hotel would get it right on the wedding day. Nope, every guest came up to me and said how all the vegetables were barely cooked. You could barely cut up your brussel sprouts. The chicken was not flavorful. They only thing that was actually good at my wedding was the cake which didn't even come from the Hilton Hotel. Later on that evening we got the complimentary room. Although we did not need a phone call saying the champagne and strawberries are late do you still want them? My husband says sure and we only drink less than half the bottle and give it away. Let's just say, I was being nice and not telling them how I really thought of my overall experience at their location. read more

Stayed here for just one night as the house was getting some work done and we needed to let it air out first. Hotel is very lovely and I can see why many have proms and other events here. Staff is very nice (they apologized and jumped right on it when they didn't have the right pillows in the room for me) and you cannot beat the location. The room was comfortable and spacious and a good nights sleep was had. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone needing to stay in the area and you can always find a deal online for the price which for a Hilton was not bad. read more

One of my favorite Hilton's to stay while in Columbus. I am 30mins from The Arena District and walking distance to Eddie Merlot. Rooms are well kept and clean. The bar is fabulous and the pool looks fantastic (I don't use it though). The prices are better than Easton and downtown Hilton so it makes the most sense for me to save the money and stay here. You are close enough to downtown to spend time there and are also right next to a beautiful mall that has great stores to shop at. The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. We got the king suite room which was perfectly roomy for us and our little one. The breakfast that we purchased with the room was delicious and fresh. We would definitely stay here again. read more

Paid the $75 pet fee which I completely understand why it's there but didn't expect a room with rusty door frames and a shower that's subpar at best. Didn't feel welcome at checkout and any other interaction with this staff. How unfortunate. I would choose a Hampton or HGI over this property in the future. This property is located conveniently across the street from a shopping mall. There is an on-site restaurant but I don't recommend it. The food is subpar. My ribeye was well done when I ordered medium rare. The lobby area is by far the nicest experience of my stay. The fireplace and open floor plan made the area feel large. I happen to check-in on a day when Ohio State was playing against a conference foe, the lobby area was decked out in red with a sea of Buckeye fans. It was loud but the people were friendly. My room was clean but the bathroom was cramp. The shower was too narrow for my broad shoulders. Overall, for the price, it's a decent place to stay for business travelers. I wouldn't necessarily want to stay here for personal travel. There are better hotel properties nearby. read more

Let me start by saying that over the past 5+ years I've stayed here a lot and my first experiences were excellent. New Year's Day my husband and our three children checked in and had a bad experience with the front desk clerk. A male whose name I did not get was rude to us from the start. We had requested a pack n play through mobile app days before but it wasn't setup when we got there (not a big deal). We went down and told him we were going out to dinner (we were all very hungry) and asked if he could just have it put in our room sometime that evening. He said "I don't know if we even have anything like that." We knew that did as we had used them in the past. We let him know that we'd have to change hotels if not so could he please find out. He did not like this at all. He huffed and puffed and walked off. 20 or so minutes later he brought us one and sit it in front of us! We are all standing in the lobby, waiting to go to dinner! He would not take it to our room so he left it at the desk until we got back. He was just rude! I didn't add this review back then because I was hoping it was a fluke.... Fast forward 4 months to Mother's Day weekend and we are back. From the beginning our room had no air conditioning, they had no other rooms to accommodate our family, it was 10:30pm we had 3 kids including a two year old. I called the front desk for 20 minutes, no answer, walked downstairs and waited 10 minutes before someone showed up. She said she was literally the only person working. They told us all they could do was split up our family. 3am someone is running up and down the halls and knocking on the doors, we didn't even call downstairs because with one person working in the entire building, what's the point? The next morning we requested late checkout because we had been up so late the night before (we are Gold Elite members) and we were told no, that we asked too late. It is Mother's Day. Eventually the manager gave us a later checkout and a $50 credit. What a hassle! This is the second less than stellar experience we've had here this year. The staff doesn't seem to believe in customer service or even every day good manners. There are far too many options in this area to ever stay here again. read more

This hotel is definitely a great place to stay. It's modernly decorated, very cleaned and well kept. It has all the amenities you need. Great lounge area, shuttle service, ample parking,dry cleaning, spa, exercise room and pool. And lots of restaurants near by. Everything I ordered froom room service was delicious and quickly brought up by a very nice Asian lady. I stayed in the executive floor which you get some great extras w your stay. The front desk treated our party as rude as I have ever been treated. All it took was a request for a newspaper and the representative said she recycled them, and she was disrespectful from then going forward. When I complained she threatened to call the police. Hotel is nice and clean. We reserved double beds as we were traveling with our son and needed two beds, when we arrived they didn't have a room with double beds for us and we got a room with a king bed and pull out sofa. However they did provide free breakfast buffet because they didn't have the room we requested. We unfortunately had a room next to people who apparently have never been around children because they complained about my son playing and being loud. The front desk called our room and said that he needed to be quiet. Which we didn't feel that he was excessively loud to render complaint, but we had to make him stop playing. The breakfast buffet was good, for free but I would not have paid for it with the quality of food that was available. Burnt bacon/sausage, mushy frenchtoast. However they did have a wide variety of fresh fruit and cereal that we enjoyed. I would suggest bringing your own pillow if possible if you like a fluffy comfortable pillow as the ones they have are thin feather like pillows that leave you feeling as though you are sleeping flat on the mattress. When searching for a hotel we did look for one that offered an indoor pool and hot tub. When we arrived both we operational but when we got up in the morning to go enjoy them, the hot tub was closed down and we were told it needed a part and would not reopen. The pool area had such strong chemical/bleach smell that you couldn't stay in there long. After about 20 minutes my 9 year old started complaining that he was getting a headache from it and we had to leave the pool. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, however if we are traveling through the area again we will be looking for a different hotel to stay at as I don't feel that it meets the standards of a $168 a night hotel. First my big complaint - lack of power outlets. While the lamps on the work desk were stylish, I would have preferred ones with electric outlets. My other complaint about this hotel, and many others, is there air conditioning preset - 67 degrees. Haven't they heard about energy & climate problems? I got a pretty good sized suite, with a separate living room and a large bathroom, at the end of the hall. This hotel is new and doesn't show any wear. I ate dinner at the bar, and lunch in the restaurant, and both were decent.I also presented at a conference there, and the conference setup was pretty good read more
