I had a pleasant stay in Augusta. The room was clean and the hotel is well maintained. My room was refreshed each day, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. You can get breakfast made to order in the bright dining area, I had a made order omelet which was delicious. I also enjoyed having my morning coffee on the patio. There's lots of comfortable seating to relax and enjoy a beverage of your choice. I will definitely stay again when I visit Augusta. read more

Decent place to stay. Rooms were A+ clean and the staff pleasant. The breakfast buffet was very good and the chef knows hows to cook eggs! I liked that they had oatmeal and fresh fruit. The location is quiet and very secure, with ample parking, a highly professional front desk crew that is nice and accommodating, top-notch food, maintenance personnel who respond promptly to any issues, and friendly housekeeping. What a clean chic Hilton Garden Inn! I travel a lot. I stay in predominantly Hilton properties. This HGI is exceptional! The front desk staff was so welcoming! I have to say it was a pleasure to see a fully staffed front desk! A rarity these lean days. The bar is first rate with an excellent high end selection. I preferably stay at only Hilton's for my points. But this is by far the cleanest, friendliest and most accommodating HGI's I've ever stayed at. At check in, my room smelled clean, hotel rooms only look clean, they don't smell clean- but this room actually smelled clean!! I was so excited. I usually do a check of remotes and sheets, but I didn't have to do any of that because everything was pristine. I had dinner and drinks at the bar and everything was perfect. Ron, the bartender made me two specialty drinks, a green tea and an apple pie. It was delicious! And we teased the chef, (John) asking if he could come home with us! The flatbread was so perfect!!! Breakfast isn't free, but I didn't mind paying for it, because it's made to order. Don't question yourself. Stay here. read more

On the 3rd floor, the internet download speed is glacially slow. To DL a 20 minute podcast news clip took 40 minutes. Another guest on the 2nd floor, however, said his DL speed was normal(whatever that means to him) and he was surprised that my experience was different. That indicates to me that the Garden needs a WiFi booster or some fix for the upper level floors. The rooms with a sitting area are very nice. There is a room Keurig coffee maker. Bring you own K cup coffee unless you like Morning Edition Blend. There is real Half & Half Cream also in the room. You get 2 K cups of coffee and only 2 creamers. I used all except one creamer. When they cleaned the room they left my one creamer. Did I exceed the creamer ration for a 2 night stay, I wondered. What's up with the strict creamer ration? NOTE: I asked for and got more creamer. Nice bath toiletries by Neutrogena plus a shoe shine cloth and shower cap. A lot of comparable hotels have stopped providing both of these items so I wanted the Garden to know someone noticed and appreciate the effort. There is a safe big enough for a laptop & iPad. The kicker, it is on the floor of the closet, at least in room 307. To program this safe, you would have to kneel or lie on the floor. C'mon Garden! Put the safe on some small shelf, platform or bench to get it off the floor. The safe and slow internet DL are my big gripes worthy of at least 1-1.5 demerits. read more

We stayed here for our weekend in Augusta, as it was reasonably priced and the Hilton Garden Inns we've stayed at in the past have been overall good experiences. It's a pretty good location, not too far off of the highway and not far from restaurants and other stores. The room was decently sized and the living area was clean. I was a little leery of the bathroom, as it had the overpowering smell of bleach and I'm not sure if it was some mild mildew/gunk in the areas between the tiles. It wasn't horribly dirty or anything like that, seeing those things just kind of raised my eyebrows a bit. Other than the bathroom concerns, the room was nice. Comfy bed, mini fridge in the room as well. Other comparable hotels in the area, might check those out if I'm back in the area again but wouldn't be opposed to stay here again. read more

See pictures for evidence of below. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in February. On the second night, I noticed bed bugs in my bed. I promptly captured one in a ziplock bag, went down to the front desk, and demanded a room change. The front desk did not seem very surprised to see this. I also asked if I could check out of the hotel this night free of charge so I could just find a new hotel. I was told this could not be done since a manager was not present, so I then proceeded to move all of my things to my new room with no help at 11:30pm. I also spent time that night on the phone with Hilton Honors basically being told they can do nothing and it's up to the hotel management to compensate me. The next room I was put in was infested with lady bugs and had dried urine at the base of the toilet. Also the lobby had multiple cockroaches crawling around that the front desk attendant was attempting to mop up. She said this is a normal occurrence when it rains. Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. I've now checked out of the hotel and am at a laundromat attempting to purge my clothes of the infestation. I have had to buy new luggage and a new backpack. I also had to purchase new shoes as there's no way to purge my shoes of this as they are leather. All the while, I've been attempting to contact hotel management and have been given the run around saying they are on a conference call and cannot come to the phone. Their initial offer is to give me $100 worth of points for my troubles. I've now lost over $350 in personal items, not to mention 2 nights of my own time and spent one night being feasted on by parasites at this establishment. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. I stayed at the hotel over the weekend and was not disappointed. This hotel had all of the amenities that you would want for a long weekend away. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only thing that could use some improvement would be their breakfast buffet. At $10.95, its not really a buffet when you have someone taking your order every time you want something. The initial portion was enough to fill me up, but not for someone who eats a lot. Horrible customer service. I paid for a 2 night stay for my son with 84,000 Honors points and he was still charged $435.00 even after assurances from staff that would not be the case after noticing the charge day 1. Now my son's account is overdrawn as they charged him again after I pointed it out. After another 40 minute call which I was on hold for most of it, I'm told deal with my bank for any overdraft fees. A 21yr old has to deal with this after his father assures him his room is taken care of. No resolution whatsover and I'm out 84,000 points and he's out $435.00. We had a flat tire and had to change plans so we stopped in here so we could get the tire fixed in the morning. We got a two bed and a pull out room. The girls slept great on the beds. They were comfy and nicely packed with pillows. My son and I were going to sleep on the pullout bed. This is where my issue came up, the pull out bed did not have the wires connected underneath in order to keep the mattress from sinking in. Basically, the mattress would sink to the fold out metal frame which is not very comfortable...I tried. Needless to say, I slept on the floor. Sleeping on a floor is not typically what I envision when I stop in to a Hilton. Since I woke up early and got to shower in peace, I noticed that the vent in the bathroom did not work. The windows fogged up and there was rust/oxidation on the light fixtures in bathroom. Not all was negative, the water was nice and hot in the shower and they had a Keurig machine. There are other options in the area, definitely utilize them. This review is really more for the staff than the facilities - which were fine aside from old and uncomfortable beds. Our room was not ready at check in time (3pm). We were running late for a wedding we were in town for, so this caused a pretty big issue for us. My friends entered their room after checking in and there was a man standing in there. When they asked what he was doing, he sort of grunted that he worked there and shuffled out. He would not say why he was in the room. We had arranged a late checkout at 1 pm and at noon, housekeeping was pounding on the door like the LAPD despite the Do Not Disturb sign. I am not sure how they managed to hire all the rude people in Augusta in one establishment, but do yourself a favor and don't stay here. read more

Ok, so the hotel itself is really nice. My rating is based on the comfort level of the beds, which was non existant. Granted, I'm spoiled. I have a 12" memory foam mattress at home. The beds in our room were hard as a rock. I couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep ìn anything longer than 30 minute bursts. My back is KILLING me, I'm gonna need to see a chiropractor when I get home. Thank God ours was a single night stay! If you like a super duper firm mattress that gives a about 1/4" when you lay on it, this may be the hotel for you. If you like comfort, try another hotel- your back will thank you for it. p.s. bring your own blow dryer unless you already have a shitty one at home and that's what you're used to. read more

Property is clean and well located for Augusta National Golf Club or business away from downtown. However, rooms do not appear to be heated. They have dual AC/heat HVAC units in each room, but heat never turns on. For those visiting in the November-February period, this may be an issue. On 11/13/2018, my internal room temperature was 64 degrees at 7AM (it was in the high 40s/low 50s outside). Do not accept placement in rooms 101, 102, 201, 202, 301, 302. These rooms are close to a large external HVAC unit that runs 24/7 and the noise will bother some visitors. read more

This particular Hilton should be embarrassed to have this place associated with their brand. The only reason I'm giving this an extra star is that the bartender saved the day by being the one person getting everything done: our bar drinks, taking room orders, AND delivering them. There were, what appeared, to be other workers, but they were not quite professionally attired as a Hilton staff person should appear. The restaurant appeared to be where the lobby was, which is where the bar is. The air in our room was slightly cold; not cold. The bar had a fan. The bartender apologized for the heat and mentioned how she bought the fan LAST YEAR. Do not spend your money on this place. I bought an orbitz deal so I don't feel that bad. Just stayed here for a conference and I was very happy with my stay. The hotel is very clean and neat. I believe it just opened a few months ago. There is an indoor pool and hot tub, fitness room, business center, and lobby bar and restaurant. But, the restaurant only serves a breakfast buffet and then nothing again until dinner. There is a small 'pantry' where you can buy snacks and frozen meals. I would say neither the restaurant or bar are cheap but they serve their purpose. The pool is either not heated or wasn't heated much because it was pretty cold, but the hot tub was nice. The fitness center had several cardio machines and weights. The rooms come either as king beds, or double beds. There are also suites available. Rooms feature flat screen tvs with LOTS of digital cable channels, free wireless and wired internet, microwave, mini-fridge, and AC. I thought the bed was comfy. I would definetly stay here if you are looking for a hotel in the Augusta area. The only minus is that there is not a lot in this area if you don't have a car. read more

Pros: - Cost was acceptable. $120/nite for a King Suite - Seemed to be clean - no random hairs on floor/towels/bed - Nice sized room (suite) with a desk, fold out couch bed, mini frig, safe, and microwave - Good shampoo/conditioner - Most of the staff seemed worried about my daughter after she got bitten by tons of ants; they even asked after her the next day - Elevators were small, but not too slow Cons: - They charged a hold on the card I used to hold the room on arrival day, locking up my funds for 3-5 business days - I was not told this would happen - My daughters stepped in a massive ant bed on the curb at the very front of the hotel and got bitten...a lot - When we left, the parking lot was literally swarming with flying ants; they got into our truck and all over us and the kids - "Free wifi" is a joke...signal was so bad that I could only connect in one corner of the room, while holding the iPad in the air - I did not try tech support or troubleshooting Overall, decent hotel, but I will probably try the Sheraton or Holiday Inn Express next time...the ants were a little slice of insanity. I'd have no problem going back if the other places were full or I had bad experiences there. read more

Had a fume incident on an overnight stay recently; requested someone to come to my room to investigate; not sure what I was smelling or if it was toxic- wasn't please how this incident was handled - worse part was their management putting me on the defensive after seeking help from their staff to enter my room to isolate source and potential toxicity-Front Desk staff were kind but most likely inexperienced: their new "absentee" manager avoided my repeated calls for days until she was acting as the hotel operator 3 days later - long story short she wouldn't offer any billing adjustments or compensation for the unfortunate experience and also hung up on me after I shared my intent to share the fume incident with local and state authorities -if this ever happens to you and the staff doesn't take affirmative action to go into your room - call local authorities without haste - I gave the hotel staff my trust and at the end I felt like I was in the wrong and had to proof my claims after requesting billing adjustments for a rough night's stay for a persistent incense like smell that continued into to the early hours read more

We have stayed here before and had a great experience. Unfortunately, I cannot say that on this visit. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The 1st room we were assigned was dirty. The bathroom mirror had obvious water stains, like someone just finishing brushing their teeth. The tub was filthy. The front desk staff was apologetic and gave us another room. The second day after the room was cleaned, the hand soap was not replaced and there was only one hand towel in the room and the same dirt was left behind the toilet that was there before. The pillows were old and flat and not firm at all. I don't plan on using this location for quite sometime. read more

The room is a little outdated but cleanliness, in my opinion, is far better than having an updated but dirty atmosphere. The first thing I check when I walk in my room is the bathroom tub and areas that most people don't notice. It definitely passed my mini inspection. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is very clean and neat and the staff is extremely friendly and informed. The cookie at night was delicious and the breakfast buffet was really good quality wise, but know that it is not just a all-you-can eat buffet, but a continuous order via server buffet. so... yeah. I think a big highlight for me was the check out at noon. Def didn't feel rushed out the door and had time to actually think about not leaving something in the hotel (as I usually do) Great job Hilton!!! read more

People that work here are GREAT and the hotel is very clean. I would give it 5 stars, but the mattresses aren't the best (they suck, actually). I stay in Augusta a lot and this is an ok hotel. This Hilton shares a parking lot with a Sheraton hotel and I would stay at the Sheraton.

I recently stayed here for a family gathering. The service was honestly better than what I have experienced at much larger and fancier hotel chains. Simple questions to staff members often led to them going to great lengths to help. Example: I made a quick inquiry about the pool and gym and a staff member physically took me down the hall to show me where they were located. Later I asked about restaurants in the area and the staff member pulled out a map and started circling options. These are simple things I suppose but so rare these days so it really stood out. The room was very clean and comfortable with lots of niceties like extra blankets, toiletries and those great round shower curtain rods (who's the genius that thought of that?). The only down side I suppose was the lobby restaurant. They have a really nice buffet style restaurant which served breakfast and I believe lunch. It had plenty of hearty options but was rather pricy for a simple breakfast I thought. Luckily, the hotel is within walking distance to several chain restaurants and, to my heart's content, Starbucks. Great hotel and I totally recommend it if you are in Augusta anytime soon. read more
