We stayed here because love the family. I don't mind spending money on a nice hotel, but, every time we turn around and blink, it's another $50. Not good. The room rate is perfect, but, we are spending more on food than I did for 2-nights. We will never stay at a Hilton Hotel again. read more

Have stayed in this place e multiple times whenever I visited DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. This is probably one of a very few hotels that have free parking. Overall, this facility looks pretty new with nice size room comfortable bed. Furthermore, there is one restaurant adjacent to the lobby. One draw back is that they do not have ice maker on each floor. Therefore, if you stayed on the 7th floor, you would need to go down to 6th floor get ice; I wonder who was the genius architect. I found this kind of inconvenience to me, and those who love ice water. read more

I don't leave reviews a lot but I definitely do when they are deserved. My husband and I are staying at this hotel for 60 days for my husbands work. I have never witnessed so much wonderful customer service. But Tim Judy who we see every day always has a smile on his face to greets us and makes sure our stay is going well . He definitely makes the hotel stand out for 5 star customer service. But honestly everyone here even housekeeping walks around with smiles and always willing to go that extra mile. Diana Wagner who got us here from California by being so welcoming and wonderful on the phone when I called to check on availability she made me feel like this was my place and I'm so glad I did . An absolutely LOVELY stay. The location and overall design of the hotel are both attractive. I found my room which was a king size standard to have all the necessities and enough space to casually move around and not feel stuffed. The bed was very comfortable and who can't enjoy Crabtree and Evelyn bath products? Plus comfortable robes to use after you shower. Side note: the shower head is AMAZING! Remember to flip it to get other options for pressure and release. Nice size tv Desk area and separate chair setting Cool light dimmer/bedside option From the concierge to cleaning staff, I found everyone to be very nice and genuinely concerned with the quality of my stay. Parking was included and easy to access every night. The only thing I wish I had access to would be a personal microwave in the room. I'm expecting and so the travel to another floor (6th floor) was not always the most comfortable. Came here for a dental CE course. Parking was a bit difficult to find, it gets packed quick especially if there is a meeting in session. Walking towards the hotel I noticed this beautiful outdoor fire display. Very pretty and a nice first impression. Upon entering, the high ceilings and modern decor really caught my eye. The lobby was so neat, clean, and organized. Ladies room was clean and spacious. The hotel is quite big and I was having a difficult time finding our room. A friendly and enthusiastic employee pointed me towards the right direction. The meeting room was also spacious and clean. Something odd was going on with the sound system though. For some reason, the employees were having difficulty shutting off the hotel background music in the room so we could hear our speakers. Each table had notepads, pens, tissues, candy, water, and cups. Well organized by the hotel. A complimentary lunch was provided. Vegetarian options were available, which was very nice to see. My experience at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner was incredibly positive. I hope we have more meetings here. read more

My experience was consistent with my last stay with the extremely friendly hotel staff and beautiful lobby and spacious room. They do have free parking which is a plus. Really nice hotel, great lobby. The restaurant is good and has many options for healthy eats. Was staying here for a work conference and beats the "Marriott" which is really probably a renovated motel 8. The only complaint I have is that it's kind of dark and outdated (reminds me of the pyramid hotel In Vegas) Rooms are okay but bathrooms are small and cramped-legit doing your makeup while basically standing on the toilet seat. read more

This Hilton has great staff, it's clean and modern decor. There was an employee at the entry way with a smile waiting to greet us and lead us to the check-in counter. He was also the same guy that shuttled us to the mall. He was awesome! FYI -The hotel has free shuttle to Tyson Corner or to the Galleria. Checking in was a breeze, the lobby was huge where if you book with a group it's a great place to hang out because there is also a bar in the lobby. There's Plenty of TV's, couches, and computers through out the lobby to accommodate hotel guests. The rooms itself is spacious and clean. Hotels' beds and pillows always sucks, so this is no exception here. I always bring my own pillow but forgot it so I didn't have the most comfortable sleep. I actually think this hotel has the worst pillows I've ever experienced. Oh the gym is pretty big for a hotel with plenty of ellipticals and treadmills and other weight stuff too! Nice size pool in the same area as the gym. But your facing the pool when working out so that can seem awkward?! Your watching the pool guest and they're watching you! -_- read more

Update: 5/7/19 This Hilton's customer service was phenomenal (Thank you, Abby). Less than 24 hours I was contacted about the service. They had assured me that this was not the standard or the norm. The team was a delight to speak with. I'm certain that this situation was outlying experiences and commend the team for reaching out! Old review: Sucks to be writing this review. I want to give our stay the benefit of the doubt but am quite disappointed. Im currently in the process of moving and was looking for a clean and comfortable stay while in transit. Especially during these uncertain and unsettling times. We hope that the Hilton and this hotel is taking cleanliness and safety in serious consideration. I expected so much more from this Hilton "4-star" hotel. I've uploaded some photos to show some of the unsettling and disappointing features of our room. They include a ton of dust and stains everywhere. Whether this is during times of Covid or after I highly recommend finding somewhere else to stay. Nice hotel and friendly service. I really like staying in McLean, VA since it's super close to DC and the hotel shuttle delivers us to the Tyson mall, corporate headquarters and anywhere else within a 1 mile radius. So that is super helpful. Now let's move to a few cons: I'm currently still in my room drafting this review since my flight is in a few hours and I have some virtual meetings to log into. I requested a late checkout and housekeeping came knocking and attempted to open my door at 8:45am. I have the DND sign on my door but it must be invisible. She knocked once then used the master key to open the door. Really? Checkout isn't even until 12PM, so why are you knocking this early and trying to gain entry when I have a late check out? The room's deadbolt lock is also broken, so only the latch lock works. I also acquired some sort of respiratory illness I'm guessing due to the heating ventilation probably not being clean or something. I wasn't sick prior to staying here, but when I turned on the heat and woke up on Tuesday, I've been feeling horrible ever since - coughing, fatigue and feverish. Now like I've stated, I have had friendly service and such, and will totally stay here again if I needed to, however there are some kinks that need to be ironed out before I do so. read more

The only reason I gave a 2 rating and not a 1 is because the lobby and common spaces are nice. The hotel is very poorly managed however with cost as the main driver to all decisions. Definitely not customer first and subsequently leads to very poor management. There are so many good Hilton properties, so just keep looking because this property fails the Hilton brand. read more

I very much enjoyed this hotel. It is right in the core of Tyson's with just about everything - mall, etc. - nearby and walkable. Parking was free and the rooms were of good quality and clean. I was particularly amazed by the atrium when walking in as they really make it quite the grand view, with an atrium reaching to the roof and glass decorations everywhere, centered by a pleasant seating area and bar. The hotel restaurant was particularly delicious, serving quite unique and tasty dishes with a "fireplace" theme in the restaurant that really added to the cozy feeling of the place. First experience there were bunch of kids and drunk parents in April 2021 running all over the hall way i kept calling the front desk to keep them quite i had a busy day at work I couldn't sleep that night until 4:00 am and now this time i came here my room was booked by job and they are asking me for the same credit card which I don't have it and i offered them my own credit card for security deposit but this african american dude was so rude that he kept cutting me off saying no sir i need the same card It is 11:45 pm and i am here in their parking lot looking for another hotel to take my business to. Happy to have free parking. You get breakfast vouchers if you're a gold or diamond member. There is a nice bar area to enjoy a few cocktails. I was impressed with the beautiful business center. I appreciated the great costumer service during breakfast, excellent servers. The room was clean and it was a pleasant stay. Only complaint about the room, it has a very small refrigerator and it was hard really fitting large items. read more

This hotel is gorgeous. My room was extremely comfortable, modern and spotlessly clean. There is a mini fridge, coffee maker (take note Las Vegas hotels) and a nice sized safe. Also liked the lighting options right at the bedside (night lite vs reading - nice touch) There is no Exec lounge at this Hilton (what?) BUT you do get a cert for a small bite and non-alcoholic drink at the lobby bar. You can choose from about four items- none of which sounded good, so I ordered the mussels which were VERY good (tomato broth and a basket of bread). Ask for some bacon jam for the bread- you won't be sorry. read more

***R.O.A.C.H.E.S.*** at a Hilton?? Never thought I would sit here and write this type of review...but here goes.... First off, when I walked in, the woman at the registration desk was great...very friedly and got you checked in very quickly. The hotel looked clean, my room was HUGE, and seemed very nice. It was a pretty quiet and mellow place to spend the night. And thennnnnn...I turned on the shower and out came roaches! Freaked out my girlfriend but I was more irritated that I spent $275 for 1 night and got roaches. The hotel prices were inflated everywhere since it was college freshman drop-off weekend, so this was actually the cheapest place. They offered me a "coupon" good for 1 night's stay in another roach infested room...no thanks. Hilton makes billions...a refund was due here, but during a booming economy, greed takes over, because they really don't need your business. Hopefully during the next downturn, Hilton will lose plenty of money. read more

We have been Diamond members of Hilton Honors since 2003. We have spent in excess of $25,000 this year alone and it shows little sign of slowing. We have well over 400,000 honors points. I've enjoyed Hilton properties all over and always appreciated the good service. So I was really surprised at how poor the customer service is at their corporate level. One of the reasons for our spending uptick this year is that my husband has an employee who has been staying in a bay area hotel every week for several months. She can't afford the steep price tag for the area so my husband has been covering the cost on his corporate credit card. I've been booking the reservations to help out. One week, after I booked the employee's stay, my husband informed me that he needed a hotel near San Diego. I found a good deal at a Hilton property and booked it. I was very surprised that he didn't get points for his stay. I contacted Hilton Honors to rectify what I was sure was a mistake. Sadly, I was the one mistaken. Unlike all their competitors (we are top tier members at several hotel chains) they won't award points either a) to the person staying if they don't pay; or b) to the person paying if they don't stay. Nice way to avoid giving out loads of points! As I said to them, none of the other chains we use have this policy. The person I spoke with couldn't have been less interested in my issue or my argument. This puts me in a serious quandary. On the one hand, Hilton Honors has a ridiculous, outdated policy and I should vote with my dollars. On the other hand, I have stayed at some wonderful Hilton properties and hate to give that up. I'd really like to see them change their policy but I doubt they will. Like blackout dates, this helps them avoid living up to the deal they make with their most loyal customers. We booked this room last minute because we decided we wanted to "getaway for our Covid mini wedding weekend" and I'm already wishing I had stayed home. The front desk lady checking me wasn't "friendly". She didn't explain anything to me about their COVID standards. I'm not the type of person to march back downstairs and complain about the room. So here I am... the toilet had little back hairs on it, looks like water damage on the wall where the wall paper is peeling off, some kind of sticky substance on the cabinet, the furniture is old and torn. I just don't feel like I'm in a clean environment. My advice is I would skip and go somewhere else... read more

The website advertises an indoor pool but it's only open on weekends. Every other Hilton in the area with a pool is open everyday. The food in the restaurant has no flavor and is kinda pricey. I could not get into my room 871 using the key card. I ran back and forth to the from desk asking for reactivation of my key and for help. Turns out the lock mecahism to my room malfunctioned and maintainence had to use a special tool to open the door. Needless to say while I was running back and forth I missed the once in a lifetime photo opps of the special event for which my handicapped mother has flown in for. Stayed here for 3 nights to visit some family and friends. This is more a business hotel, but had what we needed. We were able to check in early. The team at the front desk was super nice. Bar downstairs stays open during the week until midnight. Pretty cool place to chill and watch tv. There is plenty of parking spaces and convenient to the 495 highway. DC is about a 30 min drive without traffic. Double that time during peak times. If you don't want to deal with that, the hotel has a shuttle to take you to McLean train station. There is no honors executive lounge, but you do get free breakfast. The food is decent, but overall pretty average. The review is mostly for the service, convenience and comfort. I got to stay at Hilton McLean during one of my business trips in the area. Walking in the huge and spacious lobby is very notifiable. They have Mac computers to the right side entering in for guests to use and their Harth restaurant to the left side. The reception desk is right in the middle along with a small market area to buy items and a small bar area for happy hour eats. In the small market area, one can purchase candy, chips as well as coffee. The coffee is from a espresso machine and its a little bit on the high side in terms of price. $2.50 for a regular coffee and $3.50 for a cappuccino or espresso. M&Ms at this store is $5. It's really for folks who have an urgent craving or forgot something. Note: in the rooms there's no free water, tea or coffee, so you will either need to bring your own or purchase. Room wise, my room was fair in size. It wasn't too large but not too small either. It had a nice flat screen tv. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. My room was on the second floor and near the elevators. It's convenient to be near the elevators but can be loud as well. The elevators are near bar area and so for two straight nights, I could hear the loud folks downstairs partying in the bar. I do have to give big kudos to the shuttle service of the Hilton. This is why I give this place 4 stars. I found the room stay just average but the shuttle service was the real star! Their shuttle service is superb and my favorite thing about my whole stay. I believe the driver for the shuttle was named Hector and he was super nice. He dropped me off at the restaurant i wanted to dine at as well as the nearby Tyson Corner Center. One night there was an emergency at the Tyson Corner Center (one of the restaurants had a kitchen fire) and I could not get to the standard pick up point of the shuttle. I luckily spotted the shuttle from a distant and the driver recognized me and he made a u-turn to pick me up. Talk about kindness and service! Overall it was an ok place to stay. It is a good hotel with excellent shuttle service. read more

The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because I am a Honors member and I wasn't notified or aware that the room I selected and upgraded wasn't available and my room was downgraded but remained the same price! Stephon informed me upon check on when my digital key didn't work and I had to return down to the front desk! Other than that our stay was great! The staff was friendly and helpful. There was no noise not loud and there was a wedding held this weekend! If you have a problem with sound just request to be pit in a room away from the atrium! The hotel restaurant food was to die for! I will definitely be returning but hopefully the room I chose will be available and I won't be downgraded. read more

I'm giving this two starts because my overall experience was below par. Parking was not an issue and it is free. When I walked in the hotel lobby to check in I was met with a dirty area, used table ware, napkins, used food, etc. all over the lobby area. The counter person was not the friendliest either. I booked a room from Thursday - Sunday it it ran me $1K, overpriced, it was a king suite. The unfortunate part of all this was I was with a larger party where there were at least 10-15 rooms we were using and while we were in the lobby area taking pictures the hotel manager came up in a rude way questioning us. I understand his concern with regard to us taking phots; however, there are ways in which you address people particularly when they are spending thousands of dollars in your hotel. Yes he allowed us to continue take photos, it was just his contending manner in questioning us that was not necessary. I chose not to make an issue out of it and let the pen or keyboard do the talking for me. I would not recommend this as a location to stay nor would I stay here again. Nice but not for light sleepers. Rooms were fine, service fine, above average gym. Pool was closed. This place is so convenient for work but I am a light sleeper and the noise from the bar/restaurant is very distracting while trying to work in my room and prevents an earlier bedtime if noise bothers you. Open atrium means every room in the place is exposed to the noise. Not relaxing. It's not the staff's fault, it's just the (poor) design of the building. Wish the staff would shut the bar down by 10 or have an enclosed area for later hours. read more

I came here the other day for a photography class. I had some time to kill beforehand and I was hungry. It was late in the afternoon. I went upstairs and spotted the in-house restaurant "Harth" and zeroed in on the entrance. I asked the hostesses if I could just order something to go. They were really friendly. Let me say that all the staff I came accross were really friendly and helpful. Anyway, they gave me a menu and said that anything I order might take a few minutes. That was okay with me. So I sat in the lobby watching the many tv's that were on. By the way, the lobby was pretty swanky . A gentleman came out with my bill, I gave him my credit card and he went away and came back. I had ordered a couple of turkey sandwiches. It took a while. Then one of the hostesses came out with a nice pretty bag and my goods were beautifully packaged with plenty of napkins and utensils. I thought that it was a little odd that my sandwiches took that long to make. But as soon as I bit into one - OH MY GOD! I think that was the BEST turkey sandwich that I ever ate in my life! The bread was not too soft, not too hard and tasted fresh. The turkey was like it was just roasted and carved off the bone. There was a compote of some sort that was awesome. It even had some kind of berry dipping sauce on the side that was NOM NOM amazing! Even the potato chips tasted like they were freshly sliced and fried. It was THAT good! I didn't even stay in a room here, but everything else that I saw was 1st class. It's a little pricey, but look where you are - at a hilton in McClean. read more

What a beautiful hotel. I came here for an yelp event and thought the hotel's extravagant yet tasteful interior and decor really magnetized the classy affair. They have vast conference rooms. They also have a beautiful lobby with a full bar. The bar is massive with loads of comfy modern seating. This is a great place to stay when near the tysons area. I would recommend this hotel for a random romantic getaway from your busy dc life. And the crazy thing is, I never knew this hotel existed till the yelp event. Stayed here while attending an event here on a Friday night. Got the corner room with a king bed. It was extra room and off of the atrium so it was much quieter than a regular room would have been. It was a well kept room that did not show a lot of aging like done hotels can. Nice shower, comfy large bed. 24 hour exercise room, an indoor heated pool and a very courteous staff. While it isn't the sort of hotel that will leave cheese plates and champagne in your room, it was a great , affordable stay. read more

Ah, I really hate to be a "Karen" but this is just unacceptable. Hotel is very outdated and dingy. Scratched up furniture, musky smell, old carpeting and decor. Guest services are mediocre at best. I will never be returning to this Hilton again, and will be hard pressed to find a reason to stay at any other Hilton. This is the second time I've stayed at a Hilton in the last 2 years and was extremely disappointed. Additionally, I was double charged. I paid for the hotel via a third party site using my debit card, and used my credit card for incidentals. My credit card was never refunded for incidentals and instead was charged the price for a whole night stay. I never received the bill to my email as they promised they would. I have been in contact with the hotel multiple times and have been told I would receive a refund, as well as a confirmation email of my refund. Neither has happened and I have spoken to them 3 times now since my stay on October 28th. Dealing with getting my $118 back has been a nightmare full of false promises, rude interaction, and failure to accept responsibility for deceiving me and for stealing my money. I would rather drive 20 minutes to stay at an IHG hotel or Marriott Bonvoy than come to this sad excuse for a "4 star" hotel ever again. read more

I booked at last minute deal on a 5-minute-to-workout room, which has a small personal gym inside the room, including a computer monitor with equipment tutorials and workout routines, in addition to a plasma screen tv. This was fun. There was also an AVA robot being charged in the lobby, functional only during "business hours." What a surprisingly pleasant stay. Forget the fact the hotel offered rates that were surprisingly good - the room itself was also quite nice. Everything inside was renovated and modernized. The bed was comfortable and the shower was also excellent. Can't really ask for more than that when you're staying in a room. As for the hotel itself - the lobby was quite lovely and the big atrium gave the place a nice open feel. The hotel bar was located right in the middle of this area and it was a nice place to grab a drink and watch the NFL playoffs. The next time I go to the DC area, I will likely stay here again. My only qualm was that the room felt extremely dry due to the nature of the heating system, but otherwise it was a rather nice stay overall. read more

The rooms are nice and swanky with the requisite number of outlets one expects in 2018 and a large desk. Air conditioning a bit weak. Parking is free, but inconvenient, at the bottom of a hill, with an uphill trudge to the hotel. There's a shuttle through the hellish Tyson's traffic to the mall, but it stops at 10:30, so don't use it for nightlife. The main problem with the hotel is the open atrium architecture. This 1970s standard is nicely update architecturally, but part of that is that they've put a fancy bar smack in the middle of everything, it's open until 2am, and they have done nothing to dampen the noise, which is fully audible at the far end of the room even with the AC fan on full blast. So it's not acceptable as a business hotel or as any kind of hotel if you don't plan on carousing until 2am. There are a handful of rooms on side wings, and some are far enough away to not hear the bar. If you insist on those, or you're an alcoholic who doesn't need sleep, it's a 4-star hotel. Otherwise, 1-star. read more
