This hotel appears to be a bit dated with some renovations occurring not too long ago. My shower drain did not work and the tub filled up. I made note to the front desk before I left for dinner and it was not fixed by the next morning. Parking is $8 per day and that is not noted anywhere on travel websites. This hotel is described as "recently renovated" and "modern"...? I am not sure if we just got "non-renovated" rooms or they have been really worn in prior to our stay, but they were very basic and worn-looking. We got two rooms on the 16th floor. The only selling point for this hotel is the ocean view, that part is great. Otherwise you are dealing with a lot of noise, worn out and unattractive furniture, front desk staff that look miserable, and a small standard pool area. My husband and I stayed at this location for 3 nights last weekend for just a quick getaway. I travel on business, and choose Hilton properties, so we were lucky to have enough points to take care of this stay in full, but to a point, I feel cheated on some of my points. Even though I'm ranking this property 3 stars, we would likely stay here again just for location alone, but there were some frustrations and "misses". I'll break it down: PROS Great location on the beach Friendly staff CONS Extremely poor outdoor food service Exuberantly high food prices Awkward room views No full-length mirrors in rooms When we stay pretty much anywhere in Florida, I prepare to head straight to my office from wherever we're staying Monday morning. The bummer with this location is that the rooms do not offer full length mirrors. That isn't the worst thing in the world, but when I'm trying to get ready for work Monday morning, I DO need to see what I look like from head to toe, so that was a disappointment. If I was traveling here on business and staying all week, I'd be even more disappointed with that oversight. Regarding the situation at the outdoor bar - Though the service is friendly outside, they either need more food runners or need to pay better attention to when food has arrived. After waiting far too long for our food to arrive outside, my husband ventured up to the bar to see that our food had been sitting. He asked the bartender about it and she said it was definitely our order sitting there. My husband brought it back to our table, and we each took a nibble to find the food cold. It was not just room temperature; it was downright cold - not "refrigerator cold", but still chilly. It HAD to have been sitting outside for 10-12 minutes to get that cold. He returned that item to the bar, and it was removed from our bill. Then, we saw that our hummus platter included pita that was cut into triangles. The menu said it was to be served with naan bread. Anyone who knows the difference knows that these are two entirely different types of breads! The pita bread was cold, but had it been naan bread as the menu stated, it might have actually been ok since it was cold. The hummus and terrible pita were $9! This time, my husband went to the front desk to explain the entire situation with food at the bar and the lack of table service, and that item was also removed from our bill. The front desk manager was apologetic for the entire experience. Overall though, the food is just priced too high. I live in Delray Beach where prices are very high. I'm accustomed to high beach prices, but the Melbourne Beach Hilton is just over the top. Bring your own cooler (if you're driving in) OR just plan to eat all of your meals out. The front desk will provide you with a list of nearby restaurants. Our favorites were Lou's Blues (walking distance), Squid Lips, and The Mansion. Another tip is to bring your own beach chairs and umbrella. There is no need to pay $25/day for a full set up. Enjoy your stay; just don't waste money on the food! Regarding the rooms: Oceanview rooms include a sitting balcony, but you will have to turn (and sometimes stretch) your neck to see the ocean. Oceanfront rooms include a standing-only balcony, but you can look directly out to the ocean. You decide! read more

FABULOUS stay for business but felt like a vacay! The majority of the staff at this property go above and beyond! Front desk folks were welcoming and extremely helpful. Housekeeping was phenomenal and kept my room spotless and organized. Prime location in Melbourne. Highly recommend ocean FRONT room. View from 11th floor was priceless. Pool was refreshing but is a bit deep for kids without a flotation device to hold them up. No kiddie pool. Hot tub was very nice as well. Pool bar prices were steep for drinks. I'm giving this Hilton 5 stars for accommodations and for value. I booked through Travelocity in advance and got a GREAT rate with an oceanview room. This hotel did not have all of the extra bells and whistles that a 5 star hotel might have, but that wasn't important to us. We were staying in the area for a wedding and wanted classy accommodations for the weekend, but we didn't need any high end extras to keep us busy. The hotel sits right on the beach. We took a nice long stroll on the beach with friends and enjoyed lunch at the poolside bar. The room was superior in cleanliness, and the view was what put us over the top! We slept with the sliding glass door open all night so that we could enjoy the sounds of the crashing waves! We would DEFINITELY stay at this hotel again. If you are using this review to make a decision, please keep in mind that you may find more bells and whistles at another hotel for a higher price, but this one is worth every penny if you get a reasonable rate. read more

We stayed for one night on our way back to Orlando so that we could stay on the beach and get a change of scenery from Cocoa Beach. We tried our luck and were granted early check in. In hindsight, I should have waited for a better room. They put us on one of the lower levels. With a view of little other than the air conditioning units and one of those tiny patios that you can stand but not sit on. Bummer. Otherwise the room was a decent size. The sofa was a little uncomfortable. The bathroom could use an update and the tub drain was broken. The good part about this hotel is that it is actually right on the beach with direct access. We swam all morning and the ocean was surprisingly warm. I probably wouldn't travel that far down from Cocoa Beach again but would recommend this hotel for people traveling with their kids. Very family friendly. Ask for a higher level floor. read more

Room and views are amazing and newly renovated. A/C wasn't able to maintain the temperature we wanted for the nights, but ended up just opening door and letting the ocean breeze in. The breakfast buffet is extremely pricey if you dont get it complimentary. And even when you get it complimentary that doesn't include any of the hot dish items. You have to pay extra for the eggs, etc. Pool and Hot Tub are amazing. Tiki Bar is awesome. Weekends the lobby bar is pretty packed. Excellent hotel, great restaurants, pretty nice pool with the bar right next to it and the gym facing the pool and the bar so you can get your motivation going... either the nice pool motivates you to workout for that summer body or the bar motivates you to stop working out and go out to drink. Either way, you can have a perfect hotel but if is not clean or it gives you the appearance that is dirty (I.e. dirty/nasty looking carpets) then everything else is worthless. I did enjoy the view and sound of the waves while working in the hotel room. Additionally, the service was really good. I called down a few times for water, room service, firmer pillows, and the staff was very accommodating. The chicken Caesar salad on the room service menu is bomb diggity lol. My family and I came here to celebrate the 4th of July. This was the start of an excellent vacation. When I arrived at 1pm I was impressed to find out that my room was ready. I checked in with Stacey, she is the jewel of this hotel. I have never experienced such class and quality of customerservice. Each day of our stay Stacey made us feel like an important guest. She made sure my room was perfect! She gave my kids bubbles, and flags on the 4th. I can't say enough nice things about her, she really made our stay enjoyable and memorable. Thank you Stacey!! All of the front the desk staff were wonderful Amber was very nice too. The view of beach were just perfect. The best part was on the 4th we could see all the fireworks on the beach, across the city as well the ones on the bridge. In the pool area there was a live band singing reggae, felt like being on a cruise. The pool is always warm and they have a toy chest for the kids!! We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back next year. Melbourne is a great place to stay if you don't want be in a tourist trap, everyone here is so friendly. read more

We recently stayed at the Hilton Ocean Front Hotel in Melbourne beach, Florida 9/19/20- 9/20/20 room 706. Booked through Expedia with itinerary number 7550331890940. We were looking for a microwave during our stay and we opened a cabinet and this is what we found in our room near the bed. This is very concerning due to Covid 19 that as you can see from all the pictures above that it's been awhile since the ac filter and surrounding area have been cleaned or changed. I'm sure others would be concerned especially with high cases of Covid 19. I am really upset due to covid 19 cases and the importance of cleaning especially something like this should be cleaned on a regular basis. This is why we decided to stay at this location thinking extra cleaning precautions would be taken, but this was something that was ignored. The ac filter is located in room beside bed and feel uneasy,makes me question that any extra cleaning precautions have been taken as posted in rooms at this location. I was pretty disappointed to discover our balcony was stand up only. I asked to change towers and they did so willingly. But then I had to hear the load ac run all the time from the other tower. But at least it had small chairs and a table on the balcony. I only gave this 3 star rating because of the location of their huge AC unit on the lower floor roof and lack of description of their balconies description on their website. We stayed here one night and I was so impressed with this hotel. I stayed at many many hotels in my life and this one is so nice, CLEAN, and well decorated. I'm a picki person regarding cleaning and oh wow, our room was so clean I couldn't believe it. I will give the housekeeping department including the mgr a 4.9 out of 5. There was some dust here and there but nothing big. I am very happy with how the cleaning crew performs. Now, lobby. It was nice decorated for Christmas and they have nice decor throughout. Elevator tracks were clean, hallways, etc. Our room had a beach view with a small balcony. You can hear the sound of the waves at night so you can sleep like a baby. If you are around Melbourne and are looking for a clean and nice hotel to stay this is the one. My sister got the room with the breakfast package. The room was very clean. The view was amazing. We could hear the waves crashing on the beach from the 8th floor with the sliding glass door closed. It was very relaxing. The staff was amazing especially in Ocean Grille Restaurant. Melissa was so friendly and accommodating that we started to look forward to breakfast to see her (and eat the delicious food). The "balcony" was disappointing but the view more than makes up for it. The pool was amazing. It was the perfect temperature of not freezing but cool enough to ease the stinging sun. The walkway to the beach was a little slippery so be careful. The sand and walkway can become flaming hot so I suggest sandals or water shoes for protection. I got blisters on my feet from the sand and walkway but the fault was my own. I would definitely go back and definitely recommend to my friends and family. I felt safe even with the threat of COVID because their safety precautions and cleanliness was top notch! read more

This property used to be good but has gone crashing downhill. My husband and I travel to Melbourne to visit family multiple times a year. This used to be our go-to place. However, the constant, never-ending construction is incredibly disruptive. The attitude from the staff of - there's construction, deal with it - is not helpful. I cannot remember the last time the a/c was able to keep the room cool without having to be reset at least once a day. The front desk service when we were there December 4th was so poor it sealed the deal - we will not return. read more

This is the first of 3 hotels slated for our vacation in Florida. We picked this area because the Cocoa Beach hotels didn't look so good online and we are visiting a friend nearby. The hotel, hotel bars, and staff were great. For under $200 we got a great room on the penthouse level with a perfect view of the beach and ocean. In fact, the only reason I am rating this a 3 of 5 is that when I checked the bed linens, as I always do, it was obvious by the hairs left behind that the bed was made without new linens. Inexcusable and a damned shame. They quickly arrived with clean linens but to me, the Hilton name should command a better handle on their employees work ethic. First of all, this hotel has excellent customer service. Everybody from the receptionist, housekeeping, to anybody working on the property is just nice as can be and helpful. Esp Ricky a manager who helped us with our room. The location is also excellent, as it is right on the beach with a great view. However, this is an old hotel that really needs to be updated. Plus the balconies are too small to sit on, they're barely 3 feet, which give you some fresh air but it sure would be nice to sit on the balcony. The servers in the breakfast area were also very nice. However during both breakfast my wife found a hair in her breakfast. They desperately need to implement a hairnet policy. If you want to stay on the beach, this place will work out just fine. But not sure we would stay here again. read more

This is a review of the hotel bar by the pool. Our bartender and cocktails were great. She was very friendly. I don't even need a friendly bartender, but she was very personable. Our cocktails, Ocean Potions, were delightful and an invention of the bartender. I was dismayed they close so early (10pm), but it is a nice spot while open. Additionally, the beachfront at this Hilton is spectacular. We were able to see several fresh sea turtle nests each morning. We called the front desk and a gentleman was there in 5 minutes, made some adjustments and all was well. The room was reasonably priced too compared to the Doubletree, where we usually stay. So, I'm biased to this location. I stayed here the night AFTER I stayed at the Doubletree down the street. The way this property is built is weird. While at the other property you look out the window and see nothing but beach, at this property you see the other rooms, the pool and the roof of the lobby of the hotel. Matthew was super sweet and very helpful definitely the definition of hospitality. The room was big and clean, balcony door was a little on the heavy side lol but overall the hotel was really nice. If I had not have stayed at the other property first I wouldn't have been as disappointed with the view. Every one was nice though and would stay again. read more

Went to this Hilton hotel the last few days of my kids spring break. We got the hotel via the Hilton app it was easy and fast. The problems started when we tried to check-in at 4pm, The room was not available and they told us it's going to take a while we ended up waiting in the lobby for an hour and a half before the room was available. This basically cut into my kids beach time. They told us the reason why it was so busy was because of two wedding and this was the corporate Hilton hotel so they are always busy. They gave us drinks tickets which was pretty useless since we don't drinks. We try to get some pillows and sheets to be delivered to our room for the pull out bed and that took an hour and three call before delivery. Smh. Wow - what an experience!! The service we received was excellent and we were not disappointed. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted and directed to the check in area. Jaime (front desk supervisor) went above and beyond to accommodate our needs during our visit. After being assigned our rooms, we then learned that one room was in the North tower and the other in the South tower (the older building). After hearing that we would be separated - Jaime quickly made the arrangements to get both of our rooms in the North tower (and we were not disappointed by the move). After previewing the rooms in the South tower we discovered that the rooms were a bit dated and were in need of renovation. Once we entered our room in the North tower, we were blown away. On our first night, after a call to the front desk for extra blankets, they arrived to our room within 10 minutes - which was much appreciated. We enjoyed breakfast in the Ocean Grille which was a bit pricy - $16/pp for the breakfast buffet - which did not disappoint. Plenty of breakfast items were available as well as made to order omelets, eggs, and waffles from the kitchen. The pool was a dream - I appreciated that pool toys were available which is an added bonus especially if you have small children. During our visit to the pool we enjoyed drinks from the tiki bar and live music while we relaxed in the pool and laid in the sun. The downside - the $8 per day parking fee. We knew prior to booking through the Hilton Honors website that this charge applied per day per vehicle, which was fine. However, after trying to find parking on two separate occasions - I made a complaint to the front desk and the fee was immediately waived. Normally, I would not mind paying the fee, however after watching about ten people pull into the parking lot and unload their vehicles with miscellaneous beach gear and head directly to the beach, I was glad that I made that phone call to the front desk. My recommendation - if you are having issues with finding a place to park, call the front desk and have the fee waived. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend this location to our friends and family. read more

This year we stayed in an ocean view room. The oceanview rooms have full-sized balconies which is nice. I wish the fridge had a freezer and that there was a microwave in the room. I also dislike the shower stalls, it is clear they didn't think of women when putting in shower stalls-there is nowhere to rest your foot when shaving! The shower stall also did not have a door--water got EVERYWHERE. The water temperature has two temps: HOT or BURNING HOT, there is no cold or warm. The menu prices have gone up since last year, and they were not offering Hilton Honors members free hors d'oeuvres and two free drinks at the bar. read more

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel for the most part. This is a 3.5-star review. Our room was lovely. It faced the ocean, but we were bummed that from our second floor balcony, we had much better view of a rooftop than the water. Nevertheless, we kept the balcony door open all night and listened to the waves. Service was great as well. Upon learning that we were having a celebratory weekend, we were offered complimentary champagne and strawberries. It was a sweet gift. Towel service at the pool was also very nice. That woman works hard, y'all. A couple of things that we were less-than-impressed with: -- The quality of food at the tiki bar poolside. That stuff was gross, and it certainly didn't arrive as we expected upon reading the food descriptions in the menu. -- The PRICE of the food and drinks poolside. There were no prices shown for drinks, so imagine our surprise when we were asked to sign off on a $90 bill for four so-so cocktails and two crappy sandwiches. -- The non-paying pool-goers were awful. It was obvious how many people who were taking up lounge chairs and monopolizing the hot tub were not hotel patrons. It was really annoying to deal with the group of junior high boys who were behaving crudely in front of young children and who admitted out loud they weren't customers. Great location, nice hotel, heated pool and jacuzzi, right on the beach. Super friendly staff and their food is also great. Unfortunately, they failed to disclose they are undergoing renovations/repairs to the building. So, our balcony was locked and our ocean view was blocked by workers on a scaffold. Instead of ocean waves we heard drilling and hammering. Also, the 2 days we spent were nice and warm so AC was needed. The AC went out on our fist night at 1 am, so had to call repairman. We could not open the balcony, so the room was at 78 degrees and with the humidity we were sweating and could not sleep. Then the AC went out again the following morning. They had repaired it by the time we came back for lunch. We will try it again once repairs conclude as everything else was great and enjoyable. read more

Nice hotel! Stayed here for a week for work, and found this to be a clean, modern hotel with a good view, cold A/C, hot showers and quiet neighbors. Room was reserved via one of the 'deals' sites, but no issue with the staff at check in. Pool was rarely occupied, let alone crowded, as was the beach (in fairness, we were there in April-May, so few tourists/spring breakers. Hot coffee for a buck in the lobby every morning, good burgers at the Tiki Bar by the pool, and very nice staff all the time - we checked out on our last day very early in the morning, but our class ended early - front desk staff generously gave permission to use the pool and beach access for the rest of the day until our flight. One consideration with this hotel - my room (in the south tower) was in fact "ocean front", however it faced along the beach, not toward the ocean. Great location and the front desk did an excellent job! Requested more towels and hangars and housekeeping responded quickly! Get an ocean view room as it's worth it! Beach service for chairs and tables was prompt and friendly. Unless you are comped breakfast eat somewhere else as the food is OK at best. We tried to eat lunch by the pool and the food wasn't very good and our waiter was awful. Also there is no kiddie pool so don't expect to enjoy the hot tub as it is full of kids and their various toys. The live bands weren't very good either. Our room was great, very nicely decorated and super clean. Very very pleased in that regard. Housekeepers were extremely nice and accommodating, offering to return later if they came by during my baby's nap. The balconies on the oceanfront rooms are tiny, not even deep enough for chairs. That was a little disappointing to discover. Neighboring doors are SO loud when they close. There is always ice water with fruit available in the lobby. Nice touch. We are Hilton Rewards Members and are big fans of Hilton's not so much on this one. I booked on line with them knowing we had rewards. Booked oceanfront with a king. Got a room looking over the dumpster with view of the ocean if you leaned over the balcony to see it. The building seemed to have a major air conditioning problem too. The hallways were very warm and humid like a crappy hotel mildew smell. Made them switch our room all they had left was a non balcony ocean view with a double beds. Staff was very nice about it and moving our luggage. The Room: Was clean. Was very tired, dated and old. All the furniture is old and scratched and worn. The beds are ridiculous not even the size of a double bed. We went for a romantic weekend and slept in different beds because of them being so narrow and uncomfortable. We are used to Hilton's luxurious linens and beds what happen??? One issue with the view is you overlook rusted out air conditioning compressors with a oceanfront view. The roof should of been a oceanfront deck to lounge on bad design. Bathroom was clean but toilet kept running. The bathroom tile looks like it was from th 80's and they put a granite top on the counter of the sink try to put as they say lipstick on a pig. Pool bar worker blasted crappy music for three hours and the next person that took over blasted country and western until close. I guess they can pick the music they listen to by shift and it was not good choices or relaxing at all. We had only one chair and desk chair in the room so if you want to sit and watch the ocean the reason you stay at the beach no place to sit?? Room Service: We ordered room service in room dining. Everything was hot and prepared fresh. Vegetable were done perfect not over cooked. One complaint. I ordered a stuffed mushroom appetizer for $12.95 and it was the size of silver dollar? I found the food to be over priced for what you get in other Hilton's, very much a rip off. Pool Area: Is under some construction but not clean for what is opened. We are Hilton fans and it is all we usually stay in this was not up to the Hilton flag or any of Hilton's brands. It needs a big rehab or to sell the place. The hotel is ocean front so having easy access to the beach is the primary win. The hotel is a bit older but has been upgraded with a 24 hr snack area, Starbucks and Gelato Counter. Dude, dump city. I was NOT impressed. Even though I booked it via Travelocity and I got it for a good discount, is it pretentious of me to think I deserve some quality with my bargain. The nerve!!!! First and foremost, what would you think the most important feature of a Florida hotel would be? Probably the AC right? Since it's usually at a nasty 80% humidity, it would be great if the AC worked it's magic. Nah, let's just make you swelter in there so you can't sleep or bathe without sweating. Even after I packed up my ish and got ready for a wedding at the actual venue and complained on my way out (big sunglasses on with my nose in the air), they still didn't fix it. The next day, we called and called the front desk with no answer. And since I still had two nights there, I decided I'd have to live with my door open and my sliding door open at all times. Additionally, their Sunday Funday brunch was a $26.00 brunch. Save a buck and go down the street to the Blueberry Muffin. $4.00 will get you MUCH further than an overpriced buffet. So to get back at them for their crappy AC and service, I decided to buy a puppy, let it poop and pee all over their carpet and then took my sandy bum and took a shower and left all the sand in there.
