What a fun great experience. Clean and service was awesome. Truc from the front desk is super great. He was able to get all 4 of our rooms next to each other for our Ed Sheeran concert. Only few min drive away. The parking lot has a bar code for you to scan and pay online . 15 a night. It also send you a text stating when it expire. Here again and going to the BIG game: Chicago Bears against the Niners (Dec.2025). We love staying here because it's close to the stadium and we can walk and get those steps in. We always get the package that has the free breakfast. They give us a voucher card for one meal daily up to $12. They have a menu that you can order from and it is prepared for you and it's none of that continental breakfast bs. The rooms are nice and comfy. They offer a refrigerator but no microwave. But you can use the microwave in the lobby. They only downfall this time was the toilet; it had to be flushed several times. They also have a nearby train station but the noise did not bother me and I'm a light sleeper. Saturday night after the game it was popping in the lobby. It was packed and the lobby is large with plenty of seating .There were people playing pool,chilling at the bar, ordering food,and just vibing. It was litt and full of laughter. I just had a wonderful stay at this AMAZING Aloft. The location is very ideal, right next to the 237 freeway, and not far from the 101, allowing easy access to the rest of Silicon Valley and the SF Bay area. The rooms were modern, comfortable and very clean. The common areas are also amazing, with a great living/meeting area and an excellent pool area. I am vegan so really appreciate their excellent plant based breakfast sandwich. Morning walks are great with the adjacent biking/walking trails, both of which lead you to the bottom of SF Bay. Most of all I want to note the outstanding staff providing excellent service there: Truc and Isabella both went above and beyond, ensuring that me and my guests were having a excellent stay. They not only meet the very high Marriott standards, they actually exceed them, providing exceptional service and a very warm welcome to their guests. read more

When I have the choice between a traditional Marriott and one of their boutique brands like Aloft or AC Hotels, I almost always go boutique. The Aloft Santa Clara fits the brand's vibe perfectly--contemporary, well-designed, and consistently comfortable. The property sticks to the familiar Aloft layout I've seen across the country, which I actually appreciate--it makes travel feel a bit more predictable in the best way. One drawback? Like some Aloft locations, breakfast here is limited to a small à la carte menu. That might be totally fine for many guests, but I was in the mood for something a bit more memorable. I ended up walking about a mile to Mikayla's Café--and it was well worth the stroll (check out my separate Yelp review). There are no nearby restaurants, retail or coffee shops by the Aloft. The nearest Starbucks is a 1.6 mile walk. So keep that in mind! My room faced Highway 237 and came with a fair amount of street noise, plus some added rumble from the nearby light rail. If you're a light sleeper, definitely ask for a room on the opposite side of the building. If you're heading to an event at Levi's Stadium, the hotel's location is super convenient--just about a 1.5-mile walk. As a Lifetime Titanium Elite, I'll admit I hoped for a bit more recognition beyond a polite thank-you at check-in. I get that Alofts don't have suites or major upgrade options, but a little something extra would've gone a long way. Well can't recommend for people like us. Their focus is on young people who only have the room to sleep. The bed is extremely comfortable. There is no makeup mirror. The only seating is a bench and a very hard office chair. If you plan on relaxing In the room forget it. If you only want to sleep, great. Black out curtains are a big plus. we will not stay here again because we want a comfortable room and be able to relax in it. there are many pluses, but we like to relax in the room. I don't recall if I stayed here before. I was told they had a renovation. I liked the modern look and stayed here for three nights. The staffs are friendly and efficient. I called front desk a few times and they are quick to fulfill your requests. I also liked the layout of the room. It is different than a typical layout at other hotels. They offered Dry Bar shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. I loved it! WiFi here does not require a password, that's a new concept for me but I liked it. The lobby and bar area at night is packed! There's only one bartender working so you have to wait a while...like a long while...to order drinks. I do think it's odd that the TV volume will not go lower than 14. It is still loud especially if you're making a call. I had to turn off the TV entirely. The TV did not offer many channels. The streaming or casting does not work. I was hoping to watch my own shows on the TV but couldn't get this to work. At first I thought there isn't enough light in the room at night but I quickly got used to it. I also ordered breakfast (sausage sandwich? muffin?) but it was just okay. I rather go out and buy food than ordering from their kitchen. I'd definitely stay here again! read more

Our 1-night stay here was great, especially when you consider how affordable it was. The staff was friendly, but a bit unfocused and I saw them playing around or having non-work appropriate conversations. The hotel itself is a mixed bag, with some really fun decorations but also a lot of exposed duct work and pipes/valves. Our room was great, and the bed very comfortable. The TV was big, but half of the Direct TV channels had no signal. Our air conditioner had a loud rattle also. I would recommend for a short stay, but I have to think that if we had to stay longer it would have been a less acceptable experience. read more

My husband stays here often for football. It is a short 1 mile walk to Levi stadium which is convenient. This is my first stay. We stayed on Sat. - Sun. Night. We had a room on the second floor. This hotel is very hipster. It definitely appeals guests in their early 20s. The rooms are small but has everything you may need. The shower water pressure is lacking. I am a bay area native so I understand water conservation but I had to take a longer shower than normal to rinse off properly therefore using more water & time. There was live music which I heard perfectly from my room 6pm - 10pm each night. If you are a night owl that appreciates a night club in the lobby this place is for you. The staff was friendly most especially housekeeping. Please tip generously. read more

We stayed here for the weekend for a 49er game. Check in was smooth and quick. Parking: can definitely fill up at night so be prepared to park on the curb. One thing that really stood out for me was the smell outside and in the hallway. Since this hotel is so close to milpitas which has the garbage site you can smell it all the down to this hotel. They definitely can't control that but they can control the smell of their hotel. With that said, this review is mainly for the bar and for HECTOR specifically. HECTOR can make a mean drink and when I say mean I mean a bomb ass drink. His ingredients are all fresh so your sugar doesn't go up which I was happy with since I tend to get migraines. I could've drank a couple of his margaritas if I didn't control myself lol. My boyfriend also enjoyed his drinks. I honestly would come back here just as long as hector is the bartender. I have never seen so much drama at a hotel. Ever. Really you can skip the TV shows and you'll get enough coverage at the front desk. More on this later. Our stay was for July 6th this year. It was a last minute decision to stay overnight here and a first time for me at an Aloft. This umbrella of the Marriott chain showcases some modern flair with nice amenities. Drybar shower products, oversize TV in the room, dual pull barn style bathroom doors, and carpet-less interior. On the bottom floor you'll find a kid's sized pool, a bar and a pool table at the lounge area. It has that boutique feel but with paint that doesn't look like it was finished. Speaking of the bottom floor, noticed there was another family waiting to check in when we arrived at 2:30pm. We were hoping for a room that was ready since check in was 3pm. We were told by the front desk lady just to hang out as she will get updates every 30 minutes. We hung out and play pool and as time went on, more and more families arrive. From 3PM to 3:30pm to 4:15pm we waited and waited. I had told the lady in the front I would take any room that was what we asked for on any floor. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. What came after at 4:15pm was a barrage of words out of that family before us. I am not sure how long they've waited but F bombs were dropped and fingers were pointed. Our almost 2 hour wait was just long enough too to be slightly annoyed but shouting never helps you to get your way. I didn't find the person at check in professional either, but apparently they were short handed. No one was working at the bar during the weekend of the 4th. And yeah, I don't think enough people were here perhaps trying to save employee wages. The good news is, we did get our room. It was spacious as we had 2 king sized bed. I've never experienced 2 king sized beds and even though I lost 2 hours of sleep, the room was cold and comfortable just the way I liked it. We never used the TV as this place was a pass through for our stay for about 12, I mean ten hours. We did noticed upon opening our room, we had neighbors who look liked they were recently married. At 2pm, their voices transferred onto our thin walls. I knew this was going to happen, but what was I supposed to do? Go visit the check in lady at the front asking her for a new room that had non available? So I 5am, I started packing went down to drop my bags off at my car which I parked across the street (since parking is $15 here thank you Marriott). You know how much I hate on paying for parking and Mountain View street parking will suffice. Guess what happened? i saw what looks like a working girl dropping money as if it was raining. Hundreds, ones, and anything in between I saw. She had requested the front desk to call 911. Not sure how much more I can describe but the police did come and the money was picked up by the man she was with. So if you want to stay at a hotel that would not be ready upon check in, along with your share of drama at the front desk this would be the place. Lots of yelling and screaming here all with no additional cost. But if you are fortunately enough to not have any of that, I'm sure you'll have a great stay here even with a shortage of workers. read more

My husband and I were a bit hesitant when reading previous reviews of ants in the room but we did not have an issue with this (we also didn't bring any food into the room). The room was spacious and very clean. We chose a room facing the freeway but it really wasn't too loud or disruptive. We even had a great time down at the bar. Oscar, the bartender, was so much fun and personable. It's right down the street from Top Golf too so staying here was very convenient for us to get there and back. Front desk was really great and got us checkin and once I got to the room, I noted a stain on the carpet so I had them note it in the account so we didn't get charged. They have a snack area for purchase and prices are reasonable, dine out options are all within a few miles. Open concept in the rooms, comfortable beds and ac gets COLD! With is a super plus for me. Plenty of shampoo and soaps in the dispensers. Side note if you were in room #222 on June 16th...the walls are thin or you were enjoying your evening a little too good! Because dang girl, even our dogs could hear you down the hall. I was annoyed, impressed and jealous all at once. lol After hearing all that, you better be the one to put a ring on his finger if he doesn't already have one!! read more

We like Aloft properties and we will stay at them again. This was our second time at one. Of course, if someone is looking for problems to gripe about, they will always find some anywhere. The single most important part of any room is the bed. IYKYK - one of our nights was a 0.1 AHI and 8+ hours of sleep. That's the best proof we have that the bed was great. We like Marriott beds and so far the beds at Aloft are just great. They try to create a youngish, quirky vibe, but once you've seen a few Alofts, you realize it's not quirky. It's just a format. It's industrial kitsch with low BPM pulsating music everywhere peppered with occasional airy voiced vocals. We've heard this tried at other types of business including co-work spaces targeting youth. The key word is TRY. Sometimes you can try too hard with quirkiness. They put a frosted window immediately next to the bed that is one side of the shower stall. The rooms are small and as others have said, may be best for single occupants. One of us had to take a shower at 4:30am and the light from the shower shone right through the window illuminating the side of the bed where the other one of us was sleeping. Two other negs - first, the toilet made a weird "whistle" sound a couple of times and would not function for awhile after that, both times. Also, there is a smoke detector on the ceiling above the bed that flashes a BRIGHT light at intervals all night long. You don't really notice it if you go to sleep quickly, or keep your eyes closed. However, if you are rolling over or semi conscious at some point during the night, you see this flash and then it becomes impossible NOT to see it... and you're awake. Front desk offered a sleeping mask as a solution. Maybe next time we'll bring electrician's tape. We don't remember this issue at the LAX Aloft. Between the two properties we liked this one best though, even though we were able to open windows at the other one. The shower was better here. Saturday morning there was no one in the lobby and it was completely dark when we came down for coffee. After a while, a guy came out of the back with a coffee pot as three different tenants were waiting in line for various things including coffee. No one really got to the front desk for another hour. The day before, they were staffed with coffee at 5:00am. Now let's see how the AI Yelp responder they have uses these words in their response. Thanks for a great stay Aloft. We stayed here for a night (which quickly proved to be one night too many). The gentleman at check in/out was pleasant, efficient, and friendly so we thought we were off to a good start (despite the construction/painting going on in the lobby). We were given room 101 at the end of the hallway on the 1st floor. We thought we had gotten lucky with our room based on location (last one in the hall and no having to take an elevator) however the door leading to the back parking lot was directly outside of our room's door. The external door could not be closed quietly, it would always SLAM shut and startle us. This went on all throughout the night. When we would finally settle back in and start to fall asleep it would happen again and again and again. I had white noise playing at max volume on my iPhone and it didn't help, nor did ear plugs). This wasn't even the worst of the noise situation. What was the absolute worst was how there was a noise coming from above us that literally sounded like someone was rolling a bowling ball down a metal slide. This happened probably about a dozen times at odd intervals before we just couldn't handle it any more and called the front desk. We had an incredibly long travel and work day, I was practically in tears, and we were both at our wit's end. A few other things, there is a light in the bedroom area on the ceiling that glows red, it fades on and off and is very distracting. The light in the toilet and shower area does not work so if you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you have to light up the entire place and wake up whoever is trying to sleep. Not that we care but is Aloft a Mormon owned business? There was a Book of Mormon in our room. Again, not an issue for us we were just curious. Were we happy and satisfied with our stay? No, but would we stay there again? Also, no. read more

This Aloft spot reminded me of Japan, not new since I started seeing hotels looking like the architecture is from Asia, specifically Japan. but of course what else is new *cough cough* The room is organized conveniently, but the fridge was at the bottom of the sink, which to me was an odd place for it. Next to a trash bin. I don't approve. You can hear folks upstairs running around and could not get a shut-eye. Picking this spot prior to work and depending on where you'll need to be for meetings, this location was a disappointment. Thinking that I picked the wrong date to stay here while waiting for the next flight, I noticed that there were lots of kids and family from the fire evacuation up north. Not too sure I just overheard while passing by. Another thing It felt muggy, maybe due to the shower being just near your bed. or perhaps the old AC system lol. All in all, the staff were okay, not too attentive. Used my bonvoy app to chat p[rior to arrival and the response was "we will be with you shortly, we are currently helping other guests." Never got back to me....they were having too much fun in the lobby lol Overall I would stay here for a day ONLY and if you're passing through. almost forgot some of the guests were not wearing masks walking around the food and snack area, and the staff did not bother enforcing the "ORDER OF THE HEALTH OFFICER OF THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA REQUIRING USE OF FACE COVERINGS INDOORS BY ALL PERSONS" for the lazy ones like me, they have ramen and PHO vending machine. Nothing to rave about, but 5/10 for a quick grab. read more

Stayed here previously, everything was good. My recent stay, our work truck got broken into. Brought it to the front desk's attention on the morning of, then followed up with an evening call. We have received zero response or concern. We paid for parking, yet there seems to be no parking lot security. The lobby is a total vibe and the staff are great. However the room leaves alot to be desired. When we arrived our toilet would not flush. The front desk sent a maintenance worker to fix the problem. Next we had trouble with the lights working in the bathroom. The bathroom in the shower area would not work the first day. Then the vanity light would not work the second day. Also the latch used to lock sliding door separating the vanity and shower was broken, making it impossible to close the door fully. Aloft lobbies are fun, but I would not recommend staying at one. read more

So I normally stay at their neighbor hotel, Fairfield Marriott. I am a Marriott rewards holder, and I needed a 2 more nights to keep my silver status. Why the heck not and try this place out? I've only stayed at the Aloft brand 1 other time, and it was by accident. It was the Fremont location last year. When I checked in on Friday 3/26/21 at 4:30pm, the front desk guy (5'6, early 20's, Latin-American) was super nice. He explained everything to me, and made sure I wasn't upset. He also was super accommodating and had someone send up another comforter. When I left for work on Saturday morning 3/27/21 the front desk worker (6 ft Asian-American guy) greeted me warmly. Friendly staff, awesome! It's easy for my DoorDash person to deliver to my front door. I'm sorry I don't want to get dressed to walk to the lobby to grab my food. The decor was update unlike the Fremont location. So that's good that they have that going for them. But that location also had an amazing staff member named Wendy. Ok, so here are some stuff that needs to be worked on or I found strange: 1. The plug in the bathroom doesn't work. My curling iron wouldn't turn on. Room 415. 2. Why doesn't the heater/AC thing not turn on? I want to be able to adjust the temp. I had to ask for a third comforter. 3. This is the only Marriott property I've been to that I couldn't add my Netflix account to the TV. That's strange. 4. Why is one of the parking lot entrances blocked off by cones??? 5. I don't have a do not disturb sign in my room. I normally put that up, bc I don't want to be bothered. I would say it may be a possibility that I might stay here again for sure. read more

Bed was super comfortable.. big flat screen tv, this area is very nice to begin with. The hotel lobby is trendy and bright with a coffee bar stocked with pastries and light eats.. a full bar .. and did I mention FREE PARKING- for this area and San Francisco- free parking is not common!!! Came here for a quick getaway to visit family. Good, quiet looking location with offices on either side. Complimentary parking big bonus for Marriott. You can check in on the app and go in, but we still went to the front desk. The guy was friendly, told us about parking, hotel information, and where the room was located. The king size room was great for 2, didn't feel crammed. Bed was comfortable and whole room seemed clean and cozy. Overall I felt comfortable and happy with the stay. Next time I'm in the area I'll most likely come back here. read more

The best part about the hotel was the bed which was very comfortable, everything else was below standards for the price. I had ants crawling all over my bathroom into my room. I called and asked for a full cleaning. When I came back the ants were smashed against the walls and I had no towels. The location had a working pool which I wasn't informed was closed. When I arrived I found out it was closed for maintenance. I asked if I could lay outside to get some sunshine by the pool and the staff refused. The deck outside the bar is almost always shaded so I couldn't get any sun on my days off. I was here for work and was really disappointed with my time off. I've never stayed at an Aloft but I've been to a few W's. I guess my first word of warning to you is they don't advertise themselves as a W and the price point certainly is not the same as a W, so with that in mind, please keep your expectations where they should be... Check-in was super easy. We came in late around 6pm and the process was super easy. We were given details of the hotel like hours and locations of things. The only thing I was slightly irritated by was that I booked 2 rooms but they only processed one so I had to do the process over again. Also, I had received an email earlier in the day warning us of traffic and parking because of the 49ers game. I had to mention this to the clerk in order to get the parking pass even though he was the one who mentioned there was a game. This hotel is super easily accessible to the freeway so getting here is easy. If you are staying here for a game at Levi's, walk there. We took a Lyft to the stadium but walked back. The walk is SUPER easy and straightforward. It's also safe. There are patrolled buildings in the area (tech companies) and there are cops on the streets directing traffic. The rooms themselves are nice. Modern, clean, with a super functional layout. The black out curtains were excellent. Really kept the light out. Yes, the walls are thin but I don't think I've ever been to a hotel where I couldn't hear the neighbors (even in very very very expensive hotels). The train/airplane noise can be a bit loud if you are a light sleeper but I didn't notice the noise until I was mostly awake. We had a bit of problem during our visit (car problems in Marin County so we had to leave our car at a shop in SF overnight) and the front desk was soooo accommodating with our late check out request. I'm a Gold status Marriott member so I do get 2pm check out when available but they were so kind with our situation and gave us a 4pm check out. I would definitely stay here again. read more

I grew up a stones throw away from this Aloft and visit alviso often for the views. I drive by Aloft occasionally and think; "man I want to to check this spot out!" This evening I finally had the time to check them out and I don't know where to begin.. I came in with a buddy without any expectation was just hoping to get a drink and check out their deck. Not only did both of those things happen but the ambiance of this place was great. The bar tender Oscar took care of us and we had a drink in hand within less than 10 Minutes of showing up! He kept up with me and my Friend and had a great attitude. I didn't feel discouraged to ask Oscar for waters or anything for that matter. In my time there I even chatted with the front desk supervisor Saul because I was curious about their room rates. Saul was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me the inside scoop on the hotel. This Aloft location offers its W XYZ, bar which is a great place to gather with friends, a comfortable and safe place to rest your head. Bonus points for the clean bathroom. Me and my friend shot pool and watched game 3 of the play offs. Felt as if we were literally at home. Love that. Note: Great place to stay for family or business partners who are in town. I have passed this hotel for years and recall when they were building it. From the outside, it is very modern and stylish. Figured I'd step inside one day and wound up coming in for an event. The inside follows that same theme. It is very modern and hip. They have an inviting and nice lobby area, great little bar. High ceilings and great natural light made it feel very open and spacious while also being warm and cozy. I didn't look at the food options, but believe there is a cafe there, and in the morning there was a spread available and refrigerator with drinks and other items available for purchase. The room was pleasant. Perfect size and a great use of space. The bed was more than comfortable with a very sleek minimalist design. There was a little desk with work space if necessary. Again, high ceilings making it feel quite luxurious even being on the first floor. Also, I had a room facing the highway but picked up no road noise at all. The location is perfect for people who may be in town for a meeting, football game, or visiting friends. It is right off the highway and easy to access. Long story short, I called them to make sure I could send a package there. They said it wouldn't be a problem. When I got there, they wouldn't give me my package because no managers were on staff that weekend to hand it over. This package had merch I was selling at an event that weekend. I left being told a manager should be able to help me ship it back to my house the following Monday. I spend the next 2 weeks calling and leaving messages but none of the managers get back to me. I finally catch one when I call and he refuses to help me. I had to drive 2 hours back to pick up my package and 2 hours to go back home. I'm out the money I would have made selling that merch, I'm out the money I spent at this hotel, I'm out the money I spent on a full tank of gas to go back, and I'm out the money they now charge for parking.Their managers are completely useless. I'm never staying here again. read more

ANTS. My fiancé stayed here while visiting. The hotel is built on an ant reservoir. He had been in the hotel for less then three hours and after eating took a nap. When he woke up there were hundred of ants on his food. How weird! They changed him into a new room and when he tried to show them pictures of just how many there were they said "we know". Well that's nice. There were also ants on the bathroom slider door. He checked into a new room but ended up just leaving as now ants were in his bag of clothes. We requested half a refund, not full, since he stayed there half a day. The manager requested photos and said she would attempt to get authorization from the manager. Didn't contact them back cus I'm not happy with the way they treated it like it's nothing. This is a decently nice hotel and she said since we got a good deal on Hoteltonight that they most likely can't do much. Yes, we got a good deal doesn't mean we deserved to get ants in our food/clothes. The hotel needs to post a sign to not leave leftovers out and inform their guests. Look at other reviews!!! How unethical to not inform people prior and allow them wake up to ants in their bed!! We are lucky they just got in our food and not in our beds. I'm angry reading the other reviews. 0 STARS I usually don't write reviews for hotels but after a HORRIBLE stay at Aloft Santa Clara and no response from their GM, I felt compelled to warn others to STAY AWAY from this hotel! I was lured in by Aloft's advertised "dog-friendliness". I saw pictures of how "dog-friendly" they appeared to be (parent company: Starwood Hotel & Resorts) and read that they have an Arf (SM) program that "offers a complimentary special bed, bowl, and a doggie bag of woof-alicious treats and toys" for your furbaby. LIES. ALL LIES. Nothing was brought to our room for Tater Tot (after requesting it because they forgot) and on top of that, they tried to stick me with a ridiculous $150 "pet fee" that was not mentioned on their website or during the booking process. This is BS, $$$$ hotels like the Four Seasons don't even charge a pet fee so Aloft is not "dog-friendly" as they claim to be. Ok, non dog-friendly rant over...let's talk about this "W Hotel for Millennials": (+) New building (+) Free WiFi (+) Free parking (but beware I read multiple reviews of cars being broken into) (-) Aloft is trying to be hip but in reality, it's just a trashy nightclub wannabe. Is the blaring EDM music in the lobby at 3 pm really necessary?! Per another Yelper that stayed the same night as we did, there were drunks laid out on the hotel floors and elevators that they had to step over: http://bit.ly/2inNlUS. (-) Aloft is VERY poorly built I wouldn't be surprised if the entire building crumbled to pieces during a natural disaster. The floors and walls are paper thin and the windows are not insulated. Which brings me to the next negative... (-) EXTREMELY LOUD AT ALL HOURS Unless you're in a phuckin' coma, you will hear E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. The entire night and morning, I could hear our neighbors' convos - what they wanted to do and eat (yea, I'm craving pizza too!), even when they flushed the toilet. When people walked above our room, it sounded like an ELEPHANT STOMPING ABOVE US. Not to mention, we could clearly hear planes taking off and trains that careen through and honk all hours of the morning. Some noises are beyond their control but sound dampening and better insulation would have lessened the intensity. (-) BAD MANAGEMENT The hotel didn't disclose that there would be a big NYE party going on and our room was directly above the party. There was blaring music and vibrations until 1 AM. Look, I love The Chainsmokers but I don't want to hear about how your ex drives a Range Rover that her rich parents bought her when I paid for a quiet night away from SF. Upon checking out, I complained to the front desk about the noise disturbances that kept us up all night and morning, and they offered "free breakfast" to compensate. Last time I checked, a Costco muffin doesn't make up for night's loss of sleep. I sent an email to the GM, Billie Jo on January 4, 2017 (see pics) and kindly requested that she respond to me by January 11, 2017. As of today, no response, hence this review. I'm pretty sure she read my email because Aloft has since added their $150 "pet fee" on their website. And, I noticed she's been posting on social media about event planning at Aloft. I guess she's too busy planning the next "party of the year" to respond to customer complaints. (-) NO ROOM SERVICE Their "grab 'n go" area was closed off so if you want a drink or snack, you're SOL...this Aloft in the middle of nowhere so there's nothing walking distance. But, you can quench your thirst with Milpitas' finest sink water or forage your hotel room floor for crumbs. (-) SECURITY BREACHES I was told by the front desk that all the loud noises were from the party-goers walking around the hotel. Umm, why are non-hotel guests allowed to freely roam around the hotel floors?! I know most of the party goers were not guests of the hotel because our room was facing the front entrance and I saw many people getting dropped off by uber/lyft. And, the packed parking lot from NYE was half empty when I looked out the window at 5 am. (-) POORLY MAINTAINED ROOMS **The bathroom light wasn't working so we had to stumble and pee in the dark. **No toilet paper refills. **Why is the mini fridge under the bathroom sink? Ewww. I love Yelp but do NOT trust the positive reviews on Yelp...do your research outside of Yelp which has plenty of negative reviews about Aloft. After having complained and seeing the annoyance on our faces, the front desk lady's parting words to us were, "I hope you guys stay with us at Aloft again!" She got jokes... read more
