It's been a while since I ordered from momo cook and was pleasantly reminded of how good their momos are. I ordered chicken momos, chili chicken momos, honey potato and veg schezwan triple. This was a takeout order. Both momos were really good and travelled well (some of the other places I have tried, the momos just rip apart by the time you get around to eating). Honey potatoes were really good. The veg schezwan was the only thing we didn't like, I'd probably replace with hakka noodles next time. A note: you have to get your own sauce for momos, right at the truck counter. Don't forget and regret after reaching home-- momos are not momos without the sauce. read more

Got a few things for lunch here while at the Fremont farmer's market, and really appreciate that they had vegetarian options! My husband and I got the veggie chow mein, veggie momos (dumplings), and split a mango lassi. I found the flavors of the momos to be a bit subtle (unfortunately common for veggie dumplings here in the Bay Area), but the veggie chow mein was decently flavorful. My husband liked both things we got equally, as far as I could tell. The food tasted fresh, and it was nice to be able to pick up a light lunch before continuing to trawl the farmer's market. The mango lassi is exactly what you expect (can you ever go wrong with a mango lassi?), and was nice and refreshing. It's a food truck, so the seating available is probably going to vary a lot based on where you encounter them. At the Fremont farmer's market there were a couple of tables shared between this and another truck, and since we were having a late-ish lunch towards the end of the market, we had no problem getting a table (but there was no chairs). The person at the window was friendly and answered my questions about the food when we were ordering without issue (I am allergic to eggs, so I often have to ask more questions than most people). Thursday night at 9pm and it was very busy!! The food truck is in a very nice community street market type area. There are plenty of barrel top tables to stand at, and a couple other food trucks and vendors to check out. The atmosphere is very lively, lots of bright lights and festive music. We ordered fried chicken momos, chili chicken momos, and chicken hakka noodles. I preferred the fried chicken momos over the the chili momos mainly because the chili sauce had more salty flavor than spice I think? The noodles were very tasty, that had a nice char on them. Came here to get to-go food on a Friday evening, I ordered over the phone and went to pick it up. The location is nice, there are some food trucks with an outdoor eating area, along with some Indian music playing, so the ambiance was nice and I was expecting a tasty meal based on the reviews. I ordered: 1. Momos 2. Chicken triple schezwan 3. Hakka noodles The only item that was edible was the momo (1), it was decent but nothing special. The chicken triple schezwan (2), which I thought was an entree similar to a chili chicken, was actually a dish that included rice, so it was more similar to a fried rice. This dish was entirely inedible, it was extremely salty and lacked any depth of flavor. The Hakka noodles (3) was a similar experience, being extremely salty and bland at the same time. We ended up throwing everything other than the momos away, since we were unable to take more than a couple bites. Unsure if this is typical of the food here, but my experience was terrible. To make it worse, the meal was not cheap either, I paid about $60 for this food which I ended up throwing away. I will not be returning and do not recommend. We went here on Halloween night, originally didnt plan on eating here but it was outstanding. The service was great, it was raining and a little chilly but when we got our food, everything was worth it! We ordered the triple Schezwan out of curiosity. 10000000/10 , I'd never had anything like it before, noodles and rice? A weird combination but it worked here, we were blown away. They paired well with the sauces. I didn't find the green one (supposedly the spicy one) that spicy though but it was tasty. I did find the momos to be a little on the saltier side though. The Hakka noodles tasted like good lo mein noodle (same noodle type). The noodles were a bit on the heavy or oily side and I'm glad I split it because I don't think I could have eaten this entire plate by myself. My review for Chandni Chowk the other food truck at this location, gives you an idea of the experience one gets to enjoy here. The fire pits, 90s Bollywood music and the lights all add so much flavor to one's dining experience. While Chandni chowk serves Indian street food, Momo cook serves indo Chinese and momos. Honestly as someone who lives in Hayward, having a Momo place in Fremont feels like a god send. I know there are some good ones in the South Bay but this more than does the job. The chicken momos are yummy and always hit the spot. But the star is the Chicken triple schezwan rice. The cook Ghanshyam really takes his time, making sure the dish has all the flavors as well as the smokiness that wok cooking brings. Just got some Momos & a spicy veg Chow Mein to go. Got half & half momos, so 4 veg & 4 chicken, plus 1 extra Momo for Yelp check in. So glad they provide this half half option, for families like us that has one vegetarian and one non vegetarian. Momos were great! Chicken Momo was fresh and flavorful, perfectly spiced. Same for the Paneer Momos, I am not even a paneer fan, but I still liked these Momos! My toddler gobbled both the Momos down and wants to go back and buy more, haha. Now coming to the chow mein, I like my food hot and spicy. So I ordered one spicy veg chow mein. And wow, it was actually really spicy. Perfect for me, but my poor husband was panting and sweating and gave up after awhile. My toddler couldn't eat more than 1 mouth, poor girl. But I actually enjoyed it, hahaha. This weekend , we had a cranky 6 month old at the Farmers Market. Making it a point to start young with different cuisines so that he won't have a pallet focused towards a small subset of food lacking nutrient density. We stumbled upon Momo cook which grabbed her attention because it said Indian and Chinese cuisine. This sounded perfect because we want something that's healthier and has flavors to prevent the infant from living a food-bland life. We ordered the chicken Momos and it was perfect. The baby ate the entire filling for one Momo and he was quite happy because it was easy to two and had enough flavor for him to experience new things. The adults consumed the remaining memos with the two sauces that they provided. Green and red sauce that they provided were very flavorful and the green sauce was spicier than the red sauce but we thoughts when you mix the sausage together it was so well balanced and nicely spiced. I had the chance to check out this immensely popular food truck yesterday evening and boy I was happy with my experience. This place had been on my list to try for some time and it did not disappoint. Now, this food truck is pretty popular and its also near an indian grocery store so if you need groceries you can do that too when in the area. There was plenty of parking as well so pretty easy experience. My boyfriend ended up ordering the food here and we waited about 20-25 minutes before getting the food. We ended up trying: *Veggie Hakka Noodles - DELICIOUS and a must try in my opinion. These were very flavorful, piping hot, & delicious with every bite. *Chicken Momos - very flavorful & very juicy. 8 pieces per order were more than enough. If you do yelp check in they will give you an extra one (which I forgot to do) *Paneer Momos - this was my least favorite item as I felt the filling could have been seasoned better, but none the less also pretty yummy. *Honey Chili Potatoes - I almost didn't order these because it was 8 bucks for potatoes but these were so bomb. Vegetarian reviewer: We ordered the triple schezwan noodles and Hakka noodles. The taste was pretty good, the schezwan chutney tasted super fresh and yum, I'm confident they made it themselves. The green chutney was pretty tasty too but it didn't go great with the indo Chinese flavors(we ate this with veg kebabs at home). Negative: We were pretty startled that when we got back home the packet containing the two containers has at least 4 tablespoons of oil in it. Later we were able to remove almost the same quantity of oil including both these dishes. I am so happy we missed ordering the Manchurian coz definitely the deep fried veggie balls would have been super unhealthy. They do not deliver so I had to pick up from their truck. Food was ready on time. Their half size tray is much smaller than standard half size tray at other caterers. So please plan accordingly. Veg noodles and chicken triple were very good. Our guests loved them. They were bit spicy for kids however. The momos were great too however the chili sauce was overwhelming for some of our guests. Find them at the San Ramon Farmer's Market on Saturdays! I stopped by a few weekends ago and unfortunately, they were sold out of chicken momos. Luckily, I was able to nab some last weekend. I'd recommend getting there before noon to ensure stock. Eight steaming hot chicken momos for $7.99. As with all dumplings, I got too excited and burned my mouth devouring them... a terrible personal problem, I know. A good dough to filling ratio and perfect for a chilly day. Dough maybe be on the thicker side for some folks, but I didn't mind. Comes with a side of red dipping sauce. Sadly, a few momos had holes in the dough, as seen in my pic. So they completely fell apart when picking up. A spork is provided with your order, but the spears aren't long enough to poke through to the filling, so that only aided in others breaking. We were shopping in bishop ranch area and stumbled upon this food truck. They were continuously busy with orders for take out. We ordered chilly chicken momos, honey chilly fried potatoes and veg hakka noodles. Special mention to the momo casing. It was so thin and flavorful, it melts right away and then your have perfectly stuffed momo without extra chewiness or flour. I still am holding my fifth star because of oil each dish was oozing. I would rather try momo with just a dip of chilly sauce and not laden with it. Hakka noodles were good and potatoes are definitely worth trying. It seems like it was the same chef as neither the quantity nor the taste was same. Fried rice had no salt, noodles was good, machurian was smelling (perhaps sauce or oil) and potatoes was ok (would recommend to have fries and not honey potatoes as oil and honey did taste well). Tried the veggie and chicken momo. The chicken momo was relatively bland except for a strong taste of ginger. But it was the wrapper which took it downhill. It was twice the thickness of the veggie momo wrapper and could have benefited from some extra cooking. The veggie momo was better than the chicken thanks to its relatively thinner wrapper, the filling tasted better as well. The sauces were really good on the other hand. I used to eat MoMo Cook a lot when I was in college since the food truck used to come by the campus every Thursday. I decided to give the food truck a try again. The location is in a corner of the parking lot in the back of some businesses. There's plenty of parking so there's no need to stop by early to wait for them to open. Price wise it is okay and portions are on the smaller side. I would suggest purchasing a noodle dish and a order of momos for a full meal.
