I gave this restaurant a 5 star. though it is not exactly a 5 start restaurant if I had to skew its score I would put it hire that it has. I had the Korma naan and samosa. Which is my go to dish at any Indian restaurant. I can't say any Indian food is authentic or not, just whether I like it or not. I have been eating kormas since I first started eating indian food when I live in NYC in the 80s (6th street). When I travel I like to eat at Indian restaurants and I eat korma. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants in the USA and China, Vietnam, Malaysia Indonesia Morocco too. Always korm. So I have a bunch of experiences with this dish. I hope to have Indian food in India and Nepal some day. The Himalayan kitchen is excellent. They have great korma.I hope you give it a chance. read more

The food is fantastic. Tastes authentic and cooked perfectly. Because of the authenticity regarding heat; medium is HOT to a regular Montanan. Mild is spicy enough. So be warned:). Service is a bit slow, still looks like a sports bar, but great food and the people are super nice and helpful. Lots of vegetarian dishes which is nice. I will definitely be back. read more

I had to select one star to review, otherwise it would have been none. So looking forward to Indian/Himalayan food, but not to happen. The place was packed, only two tables had food, everyone else was waiting for service. No one ever came out to seat us, there were multiple unbussed tables, I finally asked a customer that was waiting and she said she had been waiting 45 minutes for her To Go order. It definitely had the look of "Kitchen Nightmares". Hope they figure it out. On the plus side, the food smelled really good. read more

Food was excellent. Wait time... not so much. I went to the restaurant on a Tuesday night and sat at a table for 10 -15 minutes. After nobody came to give me a menu or water, I ordered online, and was told my food would be ready in 25 minutes. Returned to the restaurant 25 minutes later, and waited for another 25 minutes before my food was handed to me. It's not the time that it takes to make the food that bothers me, it's the "come back in 25 minutes and wait for another 25 minutes" that bothers me. Why can't they just be honest and say "come back in an hour?" read more

A new gem serving up hearty Indian/Nepalese restaurant in the Flathead! My family ordered takeout and everything was delicious. We tried the daal (lentil soup), tandoori chicken tikka, matar paneer, paneer butter masala, lamb kadai, samosa chat, and 2 types of naan. Everything was super flavorful and well prepared, with my personal favorites being the tandoori chicken, paneer butter masala, and perfectly warm naan. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of vegetarian options and the amount of meat/paneer included with the entrees. A good portion of rice also came with each entree. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Online ordering was simple and staff were super friendly (they even brought out a complimentary mango lassi for my 8 year old daughter, who also loved the tandoori chicken). We didn't eat in, but the dining area was lovely - calm and clean, perfect for a casual family meal or date night. I have not been this excited about a restaurant in the Valley since we moved to Whitefish over 3 years ago. Lots of veg options. Not much ambience. Very good food. Be careful with the spice. We both ordered "spicy." My wife's dish (the Nepalese stir fry) was perfect. My vindaloo was way too hot. They need to get the hang of what American's expect in the way of service. Just be patient. It is well worth the wait. read more
