Wow! What a nice place- was expecting it to be a tourist trap. But you can really sense the pride they take in keeping up the quality of this place. Service wasn't quick, considering how busy they were. You order up at the counter and are given a buzzer. We ordered a huckleberry shake and wings with huckleberry jalapeño sauce. Both were excellent. They had a bar with ranch, many sauces and condiments. Very clean. Gift shop was very cute too and fairly reasonable In pricing. And the restrooms were resort grade lol.

If you're visiting you know you are being advertised Huckleberry from everywhere. We stopped here and agreed it had the best Huckleberry pastries! We ordered their Huckleberry à la mode on two separate occasions and ordered their Huckleberry Arnold Palmer (free refills!). We got 4 refills of their Huckleberry Arnold Palmer. It also has lots of souvenirs, lots of bathrooms, water filling station and little pressed penny machine! Tables could be a little bit cleaner but overall great vibes and value.

Stop in for the huckleberry everything! This spot is loud and proud on the road into Glacier West Entrance and was open until 9 during my visit in the summer. This is your one stop shop for huckleberry goodies to bring back home, sweet treats, burgers, and more. Without knowing very much about what huckleberry actually is, I tried a scoop of the ice cream. It was tasty! It's similar to blueberry and blackberry flavor wise. My single scoop was huge! It was the perfect treat driving out of Glacier.

What a fun place to go for souvenirs lunch and great desserts. We didn't have any activities planned for the day, but had read reviews about this place. We spent about an hour and a half there. We both had the hamburger lunch special and huckleberry pie for dessert. My husband bought a couple T-shirts and I bought a cute mug. Definitely a great tourist stop! Would go back just for a sweet treat!

Huckleberry, bear, claw and croissant. Both were great but I prefer croissants in general

Awesome spot for souvenirs and a snack! Just like anything when you're traveling, the prices are more than you would typically think, but not so out of line that they were un affordable. We purchased lots of jelly and preserves to take back home, as well as some honey. We did not wait very long for our shakes or treats. I think that's probably based on what time you arrive. Super friendly staff. The only negative is that they consider preserves and jam the same which in the south it is two different things. Other than that, great place! Also, the canned goods do not have a seal so you're just hoping no one opened it when you get home to use. Skip the place nearby- it doesn't compare and smells...

We had stopped here the day before after hiking for shakes and thought the menu looked good, so we stopped the next day for a late lunch. Like so many other places in the area you order from a counter and then sit and wait to pick up your food. Our group had a cheeseburger, BLT, kids cheese quesadilla and the Glacier Dip. The BLT and Glacier Dip were awesome. The kids said their cheeseburger and quesadilla were ok. Of course we had shakes again too. The shakes were perfection! Prices were good for the food, I think the drinks (iced tea, lemonade and a soda) were expensive at $4 each. I don't think they offered refills either? As is always the case at these types of places I am never sure if we are meant to bus our own tables or not? Anyways I would definitely recommend a stop here!

We stopped for a bite to eat on the way back from GNP. It is quite a busy tourist stop with an attached gift shop which is nicely appointed. Plenty of food gifts and other souvenirs to choose from. This is a stand in line and order type restaurant. We walked in, grabbed menus and ordered our food. The long line went quickly which was nice. You take a number to a table and wait for the number to be called. They do not bring out your food, you grab it from the counter. I ordered the original classic cheeseburger with onion rings. They have a separate spot to grab condiments and toppings for the burgers and sandwiches. Overall my cheeseburger was tasty. They don't cook to order which is disappointing as I would have preferred a medium burger but it did not taste overdone. The onion rings were crispy and well seasoned. We ordered the slice of huckleberry pie to share. It was super sweet, delicious. The crust was more moist than flaky but overall pretty tasty. The restaurant was clean and staff seemed efficient. The restrooms were located in the back of the gift shop and were clean. I thought it was a good spot to stop after visiting the park.

Excellent stopover for gifts, food and bathroom break! The service is quick and efficient-- friendly staff despite how busy & long lines! Comfortable and vibrant stopover. Get huckleberry puffs and turnovers! Mmmmm! Also the waffle mix with the jam included is good buy.

As a child I loved picking wild huckleberries with my mom. She would make the most amazing pie with our day's pickings. They are no longer available in Florida, so finding The Huckleberry Patch was a dream come true. We bought a whole pie to take to our rental, and oh my goodness. It is delicious. The crust doesn't match our family recipe, but the huckleberries are the star! Yum

Went here to eat for the first time and it was soooo good! We had the huckleberry monte cristo, huckleberry lemonade and huckleberry pie and ice cream. I would order them again bc they were so good! Pie was filled with lots of huckleberries And came with huckleberry ice cream. So good. The lemonade was good too and had real huckleberries. The sandwich was delicious! And came with huckleberry jam to dip it in. People were friendly here too. Also the bathrooms are pretty cool. Lol they have red and green lights to tell you what's available. Super cute store too with everything Montana and glacier. Can't wait to come back! And the sign said they're open all year :)

This place serves good food especially the buffalo burger! Yum! Upon entrance of the Grill spot there's a sign to take a menu & find an available seat which proves to be a little confusing for some, but you eventually just figure it out....sit where there is no table top sign! Once we figured that out we viewed the menu & ordered at the counter. They have: burger, fries, fried picked, grilled cheese etc. The wait was about 15 minutes, food comes in baskets and a condiment bar is located in the main restaurant area. Seating is in two separate rooms high top bar seating, booths and table/ chairs close to ordering area. It's fairly big inside. Ordered: Bacon blue burger (bison addition), Patch's special w/ fries, fried pickles, kids burger and grilled cheese. All the employees were working really hard and wiping down tables-it was busy tourist season. Afterwards we tried the dessert area and ordered Huckleberry everything! Huckleberry was very good, ordered their shake, pie a'la mode and ice cream. Great spot to visit after visiting Glacier National Park. Don't forget to stop by the other side of the Patch to purchase souvenirs.

Ask the Community - The Huckleberry Patch

    Do they have huckleberry pancakes?

I think they used to have huckleberry pancakes, but no longer due to staffing issues according to their website.

What are the hours during covid? Full menu?

Hi Anne- Thanks for checking in with us. Currently, we are operating 10-8. The grill is open…

How much is a slice of pie with ice cream?

Thanks for the note Julie! Our huckleberry pie is $4.95 per slice and + $1 for ala mode. All our pies are homemade right here....9" deep dish and loaded with huckleberries!
