My first session was a major breakthrough because that night was the first in 3 months that I wasn't waken by shoulder pain that kept me awake for hours. Aloha Nursing and Rehab Centre answered all of our hopes for the care and rehabilitation of my husband. Every aspect of care was provided in a facility that shows excellence on all levels. Not only the staff at all levels showed skill and pride in their areas of service, the atmosphere of positivity is constant. The cleanliness is top notch, and above any experienced elsewhere. The meals were multiple choices to suit tastes, diets, abilities, etc. The activities are plentiful and fun, as well as visiting entertainment. The Physical Rehab staff are excellent and skilled, and in concert with the nursing staff, provide the essential components needed to bring recovery and healing. Dr. Beh was extremely empowering and personable. Thankful! ALOHA permeates every aspect of this facility!!

The Nurse call button system... hmm...Imagine needing a brief change but pressing the nurse call…read morebutton only works half the time? Mom's button is like that. I once taped the cable into the wall plug to provide a possibly better connection. A few days later I saw that my tape was removed. Fire hazard was their excuse. So it went back to working only 50% of the time. Now think about having to sleep in your own pee or BM because you can't get in touch with the "available" evening shift nurses to give you a change... The evening nurses even keep mom awake sometimes, because of their loud laughing and talking. She says it sounds like they're having a party or something. That makes it hard/impossible to get some sleep. Then Mom and I had an argument about going to their "morning exercise" to at least try to get some movement/exercise of her legs, feet, arms & hands. Not being self-motivated about doing it, we both got angry, then upset at each other ... During this argument, I left rather than escalating the situation. That made mom upset and sad. In pops SANDI from Ann Pearl's social services department. She was so anxious about hearing mom's story about what happened. SANDI was even more excited to alert mom's POA (her "daughter" who lives in Florida). In hindsight, Mom even admits she was an extremely bad choice to serve as POA. SANDI just made things worse. Now Mom's "daughter" has extra "ammunition" to use against me in court after mom passes. Rather than an even 50/50 split of mom's will, I'm being taken to court in an effort to acquire my 50% share, leaving me with nothing. This is the person who makes no effort to help or visit, and is waiting for that final day. But she's POA, while I'm walking there twice a day to visit mom and keep her spirits up. Thanks SANDI. So remember folks, don't consider this place as a potential retirement facility. Undependable nurses and dangerous social services to provide help. Crappy physical fitness and little to no effort in trying to rehabilitate the patients... I really hope my review really makes you forget about this place. Never mind about 1 Star... a ZERO STAR rating should be allowed... especially for places like this.

He had been through so many adversities, but always made it through like a trooper. Thanks to prayers, he has always got better and came home after rehabilitation. Just this time, he's weaker, older and probably can't be as independent as previous years. My dad was here several years ago for rehabilitation and felt comfortable here. I was so relieved he was here again at this facility. Sometimes beds were not available at the facility of your choice when leaving the hospital. It's an older 104 bed skilled nursing facility, but has a more of a homely feel. The workers and residents were really caring which was helpful for my dad in getting acclimated to a new home away from home. It was a convenient place for us, since it was closer to home with many free available parking. We were so grateful for in-person visits or window visits during the Covid Pandemic. Visitations were so important for our love ones to be able to see their families. Anyone would rather be at home with their love ones, but he knew my mom can't take care of him anymore especially if he can't walk much and he needs the help of a facility. He had no complaints but sometimes he felt like burden. The facility does their own laundry so it helped from having your clothing article lost. You can also take home the laundry and do it yourself. My dad always looked forward to his meals and they seemed to offer many variety of ethnic foods. I appreciate all the staff help, my dad's friendship with residents, activities like bingos, programs, karaoke & more. Good thing he loves to color pictures. Coloring has been keeping my dad going with a purpose. He seemed to be in good health and at the end of the 2021, thank you to Ann Pearl's staff for all you do for all your residents especially during this Covid pandemic! There is a clear pattern of inconsistency, favoritism, and lack of accountability. Expectations are not applied evenly, and decisions often appear biased rather than based on performance or professionalism. This creates an environment that feels disorganized and, at times, unfair. More importantly, there is a noticeable gap in leadership. Effective supervisors should provide clear communication, support their staff, and handle concerns with professionalism. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Questions are often dismissed, feedback is not handled constructively, and there is little effort to ensure a cohesive or respectful workplace. I strongly encourage upper management to take a closer look at how this department is being run. With the right leadership, this could be a much more productive and positive environment--but as it stands, the supervision is a major issue.

Lifechanger!…read more Literally don't fall for anyone but your orthopedic physician and I'm so addement of seeking relief in life's situations regardless of what it is and I finally found what my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Two years ago I broke my ankle and it's literally the way I fell damaged much more than I realized, it's a tiny bone not sure the name but that lead me to a boot for six weeks there was so many things that went wrong for me first I broke it on a Saturday so any work comp wasn't going through for a few days and going to a urgent care wasn't the best decision...make the trip to ER even as costly it would've been taken care of immediately as I didn't and had my ankle wrapped in a ton of ACE bandage for a week (because the referred ortho wouldn't even make an appointment without work comp number) and gave me crutches that was literally 5" too high and couldn't teach me how to use them...ugh! Long story short I'm still paying for that price dearly as the trauma a lot of my tendon, muscles and whatnots I developed arthritis in two locations my mid foot and knee which got me so immobile I was miserable and gained so much weight. For the second time I was referred to All Access Ortho which is great if you're desperate though it's all PA which is Physician Assistant and was able to get some pain meds but not a Disable Pass for my car as I'm on crutches for six weeks. Fast forward to now as I again with my complaint was referred to All Access Orth and after what I've been through decided to go on my own and found Orthopedics Associates which is a group of physicians all specialized in the specific areas so I had to see two one for my ankle the other for my knee. Though they did have access to my X-rays they needed a specific one an MRI to further see exactly what it is hoping I didn't need any surgery. Thankfully no surgery was needed and it wasn't as serious as they though it might be and it was arthritic we though was brought on by the trauma and one treatment was recommended and it was a shot which I took as there wasn't anything else and now I feel 1000% better and am so glad to have been persistent. You are your own boss and go seek help and it's never wrong to admit it's not right as the only person that has to deal with it all is yourself. Now I need to fix my mid foot as I have years and miles to explore life. Thank you!
