We ordered the Muffaletta Sandwich, which was very tasty. We also got a croissant and oatmeal cookie. Both were giant, fresh and delicious. They do not serve espressos but their coffee is very good. They do have cream and a couple of different Torani syrups if you would like some flavoring. We will definitely make this a regular stop as we pass through Independence monthly on our way back and forth to Bridgeport. There is street parking, some tables inside and out and restrooms inside the restaurant behind the counter. I will update this review when we have their breads, pies and other sandwiches. Second room is the cafe that makes the best turkey soup and sandwiches. The prices for the portion sizes were VERY reasonable. Soup and full sandwich for under $20.00! I made 3 meals out of it and boy were both delicious! I did not try the sweets or pastries and I feel I won't be able to stop. Their breads are all made in house and you can really tell how fresh and good they are. Hands down my go to any time I come to Mammoth Lakes. The staff is very warm, friendly and professional. This is true old fashioned ice cream made with real ingredients. You can taste how real the ingredients are in every bite as the flavors dance together on your tongue. We spoke with the gentleman that owns the shop. He spoke to us about where he gets the cream, and some of the ingredients. They really make sure they use good products. You won't find emulsifiers, and guar gum here! The care and attention to making a superior product like this is hard to find. I shared my need for clean food, and my appreciation for what he and his wife create with the gentleman. Truly an Art! This is a must try if you happen to be in this little town passing through.

I definitely won't be going back to that coffee shop again. The food on top of it wasn't good either. The ready to go breakfast burrito was hard and tasted like nothing special. The salsas that they charge 50 cents each was so gross. I don't know how you can mess up salsa, maybe try opening an authentic Hispanic cookbook and do the culture some justice.

They're on a reservation only policy at the moment and they told me I couldn't place an order to go after 6pm. The food is good. Their policies are unreasonable.
