We only had one night in Mammoth in June and managed to hit Elixir for both dinner and lunch the next day before driving back to LA and I'm still talking about it months later. We met the owners, Charles and his wife (we didn't formally catch her name). If I'm not mistaken, she created the menus for the bowls, juices, and smoothies. Everything is organic and clearly thought out. The ones we tried were incredibly fresh and tasty, and the colors are just beautiful and vibrant. You can tell real care goes into every single thing they make. It's the kind of food that's hard to find even in LA unless you're paying Erewhon prices. This place inspired me to start making similar organic bowls at home regularly. We're heading back to Mammoth this week for a couple of nights and already planning to try more of the menu. Cravings for something healthy while in Mammoth and this place definitely fulfilled my cravings! I like how there was both a self-service option and register to order. Since I ordered on a screen, can't really say much about service. But, they did make our drinks pretty fast. We ended up getting the strawberry pro and acai you. I loved the taste of both drinks-- it tasted so healthy and refreshing. Ingredients for the strawberry pro kind of reminded me of Erewhon's strawberry glaze skin smoothie. Great healthy option in Mammoth. Food is always fresh and prepared quickly. There's a few tables to sit and eat inside or outside. They have understandably messed up my take out orders a couple of times when it was busy so check before leaving. Parking is easy in their private lot. read more

We were impressed with this place! I was expecting it to be overpriced for small portions but we thought the portions were super solid. Both my partner and I created our own bowl, and neither of us finished our bowl (though I will say they really loaded up on rice more than the other ingredients). The broccoli could've been steamed longer but otherwise no complaints. The miso turmeric dressing was tangy and yummy. All compostable packing. All gluten free and very vegetarian / vegan friendly. they advertise that they use all organic ingredients and make everything from scratch? Anyway will def come back. Perfect meal after skiing. But when we happened upon this gem, we praised halleluiah because we could not get enough of it. While some may be frightened by the menu filled with "that appears to be overly healthy and can't taste good" first jitters, I have to say we were all pleasantly surprised by the taste! LOVED the Altitude-ade - purified H2O, lemon, orange, agave, and Himalayan salt Feel the Beet - beets, carrot, apple, lemon, ginger and the Glow - carrot, pineapple, lemon, ginger, turmeric (both good, but preferred the altitude-ade) Now onto the bowls: 10/10 The Dragon bowl - pure dragonfruit, banana, mango, pineapple, cold-pressed apple, topped with house-made gluten-free granola, banana slices, hemp seeds, bee pollen and honey (and prefer over the apple crumble bowl) Patagonia Bowl - 15/10, ate every bite. I'm extremely disappointed by the lack of basic compassion I experienced here. I visited while recovering from a fractured tailbone with limited mobility, and had an urgent need to use the restroom *after* purchasing food and drink. Instead of showing any understanding, the staff member (short hair woman) at the front asked that I leave the restaurant to find a bathroom elsewhere since someone was in the bathroom--despite my vocalizing my mobility issues and the urgent nature of the situation. What made this worse was being glared at when I physically couldn't move quickly or leave. This wasn't about restaurant policy--it was about basic human decency during a medical emergency. Denying restroom access to someone with a mobility impairment isn't just poor customer service; it's cruel. I've never felt so humiliated and unwelcome at an establishment. I cannot recommend this place to anyone, especially those with accessibility needs or medical conditions. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that treat people with dignity. I rarely write negative reviews--I believe in giving people grace and the benefit of the doubt. But this experience crossed a line that I can't overlook. No one should be treated this way, especially during extraordinary circumstances. read more

The three stars are for the juice and the kind gentleman who worked Saturday and Sunday morning of this weekend. He was super helpful and had an awesome warm vibe. We had great conversation and he gave us some broth to try. If this review as based on him alone it would be a 5/5. The stars being taken off are for the extremely rude short haired woman who was working at the time. I came in with my dog to purchase a pre made ready to go juice, she asked if he was a service animal to which I quickly replied "nope, he's not, I'll go put him outside". She then proceeded to give me the nastiest attitude and rude comments about the situation. It is totally understandable if non service dogs aren't allowed in! But how this woman handled the situation was terrible; extremely rude and belittling. I would be embarrassed to have my employee speak to customers in such a manner. read more

As someone that has come from the food service industry, I give a lot of slack on busy than normal days, people calling in sick, etc. We ordered 3 açaí bowls and a smoothie from a computer that we typed in ourselves(nobody took our order)...it was $70. And we proceeded to wait for 45 minutes. When we asked about our order 25 minutes in, the response, as the girl banged frozen bananas on the counter was "what?! If you ordered bowls, they haven't even started them yet." I literally had to leave the restaurant and let my girlfriend handle it because I couldn't be witness to just the overall lack of customer service or awareness. Your place is getting hammered with guests and nobody has the skills or know-how to slow the flow. I don't care if you stop taking orders for 10mins to catch up but if you just keep taking orders, you keep digging the hole. No apology, no nothing upon receiving our $70 order. Good faith would have been, some vouchers for a couple free bowls and an invitation to give them an another try, but nothing. It was very disappointing. The bowls were meh. read more

I love the values and offerings of this place. There's nothing like it in the area so we went here several times in just a few days. You get a good amount of food with the bowls so it's worth the price of paying for quality food. Only thing I don't think was worth it was the chia seed parfait for almost $10. The tahini cookie is really good. Oh and the steak.. love that it's grass fed but my lord it was so tough and chewy I literally wanted to just spit it out and I'm a big steak girl. We always visit Mammoth after a week at Yosemite. We were looking for a super healthy vegan meal and found it here! Great staff! Really helpful and outgoing. We loved the bowls. My wife got the Thai bowl ( substituted the curry peanut, it has a fish sauce ) and I got the bbq chicken bowl, substituted the chicken with tofu. It totally hit the spot! We will be back!!! One of my favorite stops in Mammoth. I was so glad to find a spot with healthy options given all the unhealthy foods I was eating my whole trip. I had the fall harvest bowl and was so impressed. It was a bowl filled to the rim with quinoa and kale and topped with garbanzo beans, butternut squash, beets, diced apples, pumpkin seeds. The maple tahini dressing it was made with paired perfectly. My husband got the ahi tuna bowl which he enjoyed as well. The green light smoothie was also delicious, made with kale, spinach, pineapple, bananas, mango, chia and flaxseeds, water and ginger. The ginger taste is pretty strong which I loved but can be a deterrent for people who don't like ginger. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Order at the tablets right when you walk in (can also order ahead online). There is plenty of inside seating and I think an outdoor patio as well if weather permits! Our group arrived in pursuit of a refreshing drink for the journey home. There were 4 employees, yet all of them worked at a glacial pace. The drinks appeared 30 minutes later, despite a lack of clientele. It was not bustling with people, so the extended wait time was curious. The Açaí You smoothie was filled to the brim, at the point of bursting the lid off and dripping all over the cup. Suggestion: the establishment should invest in new drawers to store their supplies. The poor girl was struggling to open the drawer to stock the straws and lids. She was on the ground pulling it and attempting to do her job, yet hindered by a stubborn drawer. Great to get a healthy bite around this part of town. I had the ahi poke tuna bowl, which was pretty tasty, although I wished they eased it up a bit on the wasabi because there was a lot of it. Also thankful that we were dining in cause my boyfriend's falafel bowl was missing falafel. If we didn't check and left, he would've been short some food! The food is good, but the service is bad. You used to order from a person who then made your food immediately. Now you order from a computer screen, and the last couple times it took a half an hour to get one salad bowl. And today, they never called my name when my food was ready. It took so long that I kept coming inside from the patio to check and eventually found my food sitting on the counter with kids playing around it. Gross. My go-to when I'm in Mammoth! Their smoothies are revitalizing and the food is deliciously curated. I had a fiesta bowl, a teriyaki bowl, and an adventure bowl. The customized dressings for their bowls truly need a moment of appreciation. I based my bowl off of the dressing I wanted to try, but you can also create your own bowl. The fiesta bowl comes with the cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette and it was more tangy than spicy, it tasted like a chimichurri sauce. The teriyaki sauce was sweet and savory. The bowls are filled with rice and the toppings have a little bit of everything (depending on which bowl you get) and any protein is additional. I do wish they add more protein to the bowls. Sometimes I feel skimped. However, I plan to try every bowl off of this menu as well as their smoothies! I've had Blue magic which tastes like pineapple and mango, the superhero has kale but you can hardly taste it, and I wish the acai you had more acai than apple juice.
