    Bathroom

I'm extremely disappointed by the lack of basic compassion I experienced here. I visited while recovering from a fractured tailbone with limited mobility, and had an urgent need to use the restroom *after* purchasing food and drink. Instead of showing any understanding, the staff member (short hair woman) at the front asked that I leave the restaurant to find a bathroom elsewhere since someone was in the bathroom--despite my vocalizing my mobility issues and the urgent nature of the situation. What made this worse was being glared at when I physically couldn't move quickly or leave. This wasn't about restaurant policy--it was about basic human decency during a medical emergency. Denying restroom access to someone with a mobility impairment isn't just poor customer service; it's cruel. I've never felt so humiliated and unwelcome at an establishment. I cannot recommend this place to anyone, especially those with accessibility needs or medical conditions. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that treat people with dignity. I rarely write negative reviews--I believe in giving people grace and the benefit of the doubt. But this experience crossed a line that I can't overlook. No one should be treated this way, especially during extraordinary circumstances.

This is a great restaurant! It's fun finding a place with good, healthy food while playing in the great outdoors. I had the Thai Buddha Bowl, which was delicious & plentiful. It had a bit too much sauce, but was a great meal. I highly recommend.

    BBQ tofu bowl! Awesome

We always visit Mammoth after a week at Yosemite. We were looking for a super healthy vegan meal and found it here! Great staff! Really helpful and outgoing. We loved the bowls. My wife got the Thai bowl ( substituted the curry peanut, it has a fish sauce ) and I got the bbq chicken bowl, substituted the chicken with tofu. It totally hit the spot! We will be back!!! Highly recommended!

One of my favorite stops in Mammoth. I was so glad to find a spot with healthy options given all the unhealthy foods I was eating my whole trip. I had the fall harvest bowl and was so impressed. It was a bowl filled to the rim with quinoa and kale and topped with garbanzo beans, butternut squash, beets, diced apples, pumpkin seeds. The maple tahini dressing it was made with paired perfectly. My husband got the ahi tuna bowl which he enjoyed as well. The green light smoothie was also delicious, made with kale, spinach, pineapple, bananas, mango, chia and flaxseeds, water and ginger. The ginger taste is pretty strong which I loved but can be a deterrent for people who don't like ginger. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Order at the tablets right when you walk in (can also order ahead online). There is plenty of inside seating and I think an outdoor patio as well if weather permits! Overall love this spot and wish they would bring a location to SoCal!

Our group arrived in pursuit of a refreshing drink for the journey home. There were 4 employees, yet all of them worked at a glacial pace. The drinks appeared 30 minutes later, despite a lack of clientele. It was not bustling with people, so the extended wait time was curious. The Açaí You smoothie was filled to the brim, at the point of bursting the lid off and dripping all over the cup. Suggestion: the establishment should invest in new drawers to store their supplies. The poor girl was struggling to open the drawer to stock the straws and lids. She was on the ground pulling it and attempting to do her job, yet hindered by a stubborn drawer. Customers waited, as she pulled and grunted to get the drawer open, and then close it. Overpriced and disappointed with the drinks, not worth the wait or cost.

Great to get a healthy bite around this part of town. I had the ahi poke tuna bowl, which was pretty tasty, although I wished they eased it up a bit on the wasabi because there was a lot of it. Also thankful that we were dining in cause my boyfriend's falafel bowl was missing falafel. If we didn't check and left, he would've been short some food! I like how there are a ton of juice options that you can just grab and go too. Very limited seating inside though. We came on a rainy day, which also prevented us from eating at the outside tables. Plan on taking to-go if needed.

If you're looking for a clean and healthy meal in Mammoth Lakes, this is the place for you. Bowls, juices, & snacks. Gluten free & vegan options. Organic, whole food ingredients. You can order via the helpful staff or self order via their tablets. Few tables and chairs and some bar seating inside & a cute little patio with umbrellas and tables. Teriyaki bowl comes with brown rice, broccoli, edamame, shredded carrots, scallions, tossed in their teriyaki sauce which I opted to get on the side (add chicken $3.75). Thai kale salad - kale, shredded carrots, cabbage, red bell pepper, cilantro, cashews, radish (sub broccoli since they were out of radish), tossed in a spicy peanut vinaigrette (add falafel $3.50 for 3 pcs). We enjoyed the bowls we ordered. Generous portions & delicious flavors. Gets you full without feeling icky. Friendly staff. Great healthy food option. Just on the pricier side but relatively comparable to most food options in any vacation town. Adding this to our list of faves in Mammoth Lakes.

We typically like sitting at the bar but bar seats were full so we opted for a table rather than wait. There are both high top and low top seating available as well as bar seating against the windows and fermentation silos. There is also seating outdoors if weather permits. The tables use a bar code scanning system to order food and drinks, then a person will deliver the food. I'm okay with this but I can see why some people would be frustrated with this process. For the appetizer we ordered the POBLANO ARTICHOKE DIP - $16 Artichoke, Poblano Chile, Corn, Cheddar, Colby Jack, Parmesan, Garlic, Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Cream Cheese. Warmed and served with Pita bread or chips. We elected for the tortilla chips. This is a tasty appetizer and the perfect size for two people. For drinks we ordered two different hot cocktails served almost like a hot tea. Mulling it over - $17 Glass Creek Vodka, Mulled Spice Juice, Lemon. This was quite good and had a little bit of sweetness. The second was The Hot Toddy. $17. American Single Malt Whiskey, Lemon, Honey, Ginger. This tasted a little stronger and no sweetness. Do I think the drinks are a little expensive , yes. But sadly that is what you come across in a ski village. Personally I was a little shocked at how many families with young children were at the distillery but I've noticed that in almost every bar or brewery in Mammoth. Another good but different experience at Shelter Distilling.

This was particularly true of the 25/26 season, and I found myself there in what was likely one of the last powder days of the season. I stayed in the Mammoth Creek Inn, a short walk away from Mammoth Bowl, but this is not the first time I've been there. Mammoth Rock Brasserie is somewhat hidden as it exists above a bowling alley, but it is undeniably one of the rare gems in Mammoth Lakes. I walked in at about 5:30pm without a reservation on a Saturday, and everything was great. I got seated quickly near the window with a great view, and was given the rundown of the specials of the day, which I'll be grading individually. - Hamachi Special "Hamachi Crudo" (5/5) - done to absolute perfection, the choice of sauces and a small amount of ginger and seaweed salad made for a perfect tasing experience. The sashimi is fresh of course, but what sauces you pair with it matters - and Brasserie did it perfectly - Seabass special "Loup de Mer au Beurre Blanc" (5/5) - done to perfection! The skin was perfectly crispy, and the fillet done amazingly well and combined with the Beurre Blanc made for an incredible pairing. The mashed potato side and asparagus was also great, although I wasn't really a fan of the root vegetables. There was also the complementary bread and salted butter which were a great way to start. The bread I believe comes from Shea Schat's bakery in the same town. Overall everything was amazing, and you're overlooking some of the best views of Mammoth Lake's mountain range. It's difficult to not recommend the experience, except maybe it being a somewhat pricey fine dining experience, but I think everyone should try it at least once!
