The service tech that was sent to my house to repair a nagging water leak from an old style faucet (crane 1957) was hands down the BEST I have ever dealt with! He was very friendly and honest. My leak was getting worse by the day. I was concerned since it was such an oldie. However, Jeff Teich the plumber who came to my rescue went above and beyond and located the part needed to fix my problem! Front desk personnel was rude and condescending. I did not appreciate her poor customer service. Rick and Darnel worked hard in the hot sun and I appreciate their hard work. They were friendly, fast working, and accommodating! However, our risers were not placed in the ideal place and did not disclose other options with us about riser placement. Last night our kitchen sink stopped up. Unable to unclog it, we turned to Yelp despite my husband's reservations. After reading several five star reviews for Hiniker Plumbing, we called. The call was immediately picked up by Gary and we scheduled an appt for the next morning. This morning, Jeff called letting us know he was on the way and might even be a little early. In Monday afternoon I requested a quote to repair a leaking valve. It was the valve to shut the water off to the house and it had been leaking for a week. I received a response from Damien, the owner, within an hour. He sent Jeff Tuesday afternoon to complete the repairs. Jeff was very knowledgeable and explained what was needed to complete the repair. Vincent the plumber was very nice, but manager/owner Gary clearly doesn't need or want my business. Granted it was a small project - replacing 3 toilets and removing a urinal. When I requested a quote for just the urinal because he was charging $200 over retail on the toilets, he walked away from the job. During the initial phone call, he was rude and arrogant. I called Hiniker Plumbing on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend and wasn't certain that I would be able to get anyone to my house to fix our water heater that day. Well, I was told that Louie would be there within the hour and he was right on time. We ended up needing a new hot water heater and all valves replaced. He got right to work and was extremely friendly throughout the entire process. After he finished, he explained everything to us was extremely knowledgeable. This was one of the best experience with a plumber I've ever had. Danny was on time, polite and professional. I had a main line water leak. I started to fix the problem myself but fell short of completing it. Danny showed up assessed the problem and quickly came up with a solution and recommendations for improvement. Was having issues with my bathtub faucet--wasn't sure if we had just lost a washer or if we had other issues. Danny was able to come out within a couple days, diagnosed the issue (cartridge went bad), and fixed it within 20 minutes. As far as the service itself goes, everything checks out. After reading the favorable reviews I called Hiniker plumbing on a Saturday afternoon and arranged for Gary to come out to my rental property to repair a leak the following day , when he came he said there was a sub concrete leak under the floor and it would cost somewhere around 1,400 to 1,600 dollars to repair but could not be sure how extensive the damage until he opened the floor. I agreed to this as it sounded like I needed to address this right away! I was not in a position to call numerous plumbers and schedule estimates when my tenant needs water. Monday he sent two guys out and they did open the back of the wall and a small area of flooring approximately 8 in by 12in in total and repaired the pin hole leak and were finished in less than two hours at a cost to me of 1,600.00 . Thats 800.00 dollars per hour!!!!. Unfortunately when you need a plumber your usually not in a position to shop their work and I think this plumber knows it!! read more
