Stephen, the plumber that helped me out, was very transparent from the beginning and walked me through all of the issues that was going on with my plumbing. He discovered a slab leak and listed several options. He is probably one of the most "real one's" there are out there. He does not just come to do a job, but genuinely cares about each of his customers. He tries to establish a relationship with his customers by making it feel like he is taking care of a family member. He tries to get to know you and is willing to hold a conversation with you and hear you out. Plumbing issues can be very expensive and Stephen is sensitive to that. It is never a great time to get plumbing work done, but Stephen is there to talk with you, hear you out, and just be someone who genuinely cares about the customer. I will be using Jim and Son's for any plumbing needs in the future and I highly recommend them to anyone. I wish I remembered the name of the other plumber that helped him out during the job, but he was awesome as well. I was really stressed out trying to figure out a water leak coming from my slab foundation. I called a company that came out and tried to scam me. That's when I searched for a local family owned company that Had good reviews. Jims was straight to the point. Stephen came out and methodically figured out what pipe the leak was coming from. He showed me proof and explained it to me. It was under the cement slab in our garage. I was not happy about the possibility of tearing out concrete. He suggested running the pipe above ground where it would be accessible. He rerouted the line and used materials that saved me money. Instead of taking several days, it was done by lunch. This is a late review. This job was completed nine months ago and I've had no problems. I had ongoing water seepage near the meter and the sidewalk. I called the Water District to check the meter. They determined it was a mainline service leak on my side of the meter. I called and received a quote to replace the main line. They gave a good price and offered same day or next day service. I scheduled the job for the next week. Cory arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. The galvanized piping at the meter was in very poor condition. He provided me with the option to repair the leak or replace the entire main line. I decided to replace the entire main line from the meter to the pressure regulator valve. I started looking for a new plumber after the guy I used to use started to upsale everything and charging a ridiculous amount for simple things .. The service man showed up on time, was nice , installed my sink in 45 minutes and was out the door in under a hour. There was a few modifications they had to do so price was just a little bit more than the quote for extra parts but very reasonable!! Needed emergency service for a main sewer line clog so I was looking for immediate response. Reached out to a few companies before Jim&Sons and didn't get same day service available as an option. Jim&Sons had a technician on my property within the hour. James resolved the issue by performing hydrojetting. Diagnosis with camera was included on the pricing (also received digital copy of the video) and did not get pitched any other unnecessary procedures, just straight to the point to what needed to be done. I used these folks in Sept 2023 and gave a great review. June 2026 and I still rate these folks as great! My appointment was from 3:00 to 5:00, that showed up right at 3:00! I had a leaking vale, turned out to be a simple fix. I asked if they could od a few other valve replacements, "of course we can!" And maybe re-install a toilet? You bet! I am a commercial real estate broker and professional property manager. I manage several properties in the Inland Empire. I needed a plumber who could do a very complex job for me. I had a 60 year old building with a deteriorating sewer pipe. Steve came by with a camera to assess the situation for me. He came upon a pretty bad blockage and he spent the next hour unblocking a very messed up line. I have used this company twice now. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Steven has been to my house both times and he is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The second time he came, we thought we had a slab leak... thank goodness we didn't! But he took the time to explain where the water could be coming from, and showed me why the damp concrete would not be coming from a broken pipe. He spent 45 minutes here and didn't charge me. Then he checked my regulator and let me know it was too high... Told me how much the parts would cost at home depot vs how much he would charge to replace it. Jim & Sons Plumbing went way above and beyond for us on what turned into a massive gas and water project. We originally called because the gas company said we had a major leak somewhere between the meter and the house. Stephen and Chris came out, explained the leak detection process clearly, and quickly realized our system couldn't even be properly isolated because there were no valves. He installed new valves, methodically tested each section, found multiple issues (including a leaking generator line and a severely compromised underground main), and discovered that our existing 2" "gas" line was actually unsafe yellow PVC with PVC couplings. Instead of just patching one spot, he recommended and then completed a full replacement of ~165 ft of gas main using pipe bursting, installed new risers, and made sure everything was done to current code. Along the way he also uncovered three separate water main leaks, repaired them, and got our water service restored. The part that really impressed me was his commitment to seeing it through. The day before Thanksgiving, he coordinated with the gas company, stayed late into the evening to be there for the re-light, and then went even further: one of our water heaters wouldn't fire, so he diagnosed a bad gas control valve, replaced it, and installed a new thermocouple and heat sensor so we'd have hot water everywhere for the holiday. He kept us updated with photos and videos and was always calm, professional, and safety-focused, even when things got complicated. We now have a brand-new, code-compliant gas main, repaired water lines, two working water heaters, and a much safer system overall. This review is long overdue. I had work done in November before Thanksgiving and everything has been working great as it should. Aaron from Jim & Sons was a pleasure to work with. I needed a cleanout for my laundry drain in my garage. Aaron came out with Curly who assisted him in clearing out the clogged drain. The regular snake wasn't enough so we opted for the Hydro Jet which did so good of a job it unveiled a long crack in the pipe under the kitchen floor. Aaron worked with me and provided multiple solutions at different price points. Ultimately we opted to get it done the right way as we had Thanksgiving right around the corner. We got our new utility sink in the garage hooked up to our new laundry drain line and a full camera inspection to ensure all was cleared up, and fixed. The before was so bad you could only see black whereas the after was a nice clean tunnel all they way out to the main sewer line. They helped me understand the problem and what it takes to fix it and how to prevent it going forward. I had multiple leaks on my house's incoming water line between the water meter and house connection which is quite a long distance and the line runs under a large lawn of artificial grass. I was very concerned that the plumber was going to dig out the artificial grass.
