Mind you we had our rv park there threw the year but we only stayed 3 or 4 wks every 4 months . So we weren't there all the time at first it was 700 a month with wifi included and ele was 25cents per killerwatts that adds up pretty quick by the time we decided to leave they were charging our card 900 a mo th and pre charge for months we were staying cause they put t our card on auto pay becareful of that . Tennessee has plenty of other rv camps that are alot cheaper

We had to go back through a neighborhood to find the right spot, and we waited for, the camp to bring us to our site. The coffee shop was a nice feature, but we were disappointed that it wasn't open on our way out of town Sunday. We understand why it's closed on Sundays, but the coffee shop, also being open to the public, should be open on Sundays if they're going to use this as a selling feature for coming to Big Mike's. The parking pads are a decent size and we had one right on the river. Since we were there in October, there wasn't a whole lot to do especially in the creek. It was evident at the time that big Mike was still working on expanding and building his dream RV park. The open area field is perfect for families so kids can run around or play ball. Overall, it was clean and the shower facilities were one of the best we'd experienced on our travels. We highly recommend big Mike's RV Resort!

Beautiful lake, nice boat ramp and a small beach area. Bath houses are old need to be upgraded but had good hot water. Most of the camping sites are permanent sites. Only ten sites that rent. Any site you that you may rent are all great. Graveled full hook ups and picnic table. A nice tree at every site so you do have some shade. Not far to bathhouses. Will be going back there for a weekend.

It was at the top of the road and an easy pull through. The park is quiet and friendly. It's under newer management and they seem to be very interested in doing things well. There is a nice little creek running next to some of the sites. It is a short walk to the New River. We saw several people enjoying the river just wading in and some fishing. WI-FI was great- best we have had in a park yet. The owner Tom was great helping people in and out of their spots if they needed it. If I had to pick a negative- no camp fires - but it was worth not having one to stay in this beautiful place with great scenery. We didn't do it but they have river rafting and kayak rentals down the road. Saw lots of people enjoy that.

A couple minutes later they called me back. Unfortunately they had no spaces but referred me to another campground and luckily they had a spot for us. Even though we weren't fortunate enough to stay at Hampton RV we were very impressed with their customer service. Thank you so much Josh! You went above and beyond to make sure we had a place to stay. The next time we are in the area we will be sure to stay at your place!

Having read some of the reviews before arriving, I was bracing for this to be a less than pleasant…read moreexperience & I couldn't have been more wrong! We were greeted very pleasantly & while driving to our site, we thought the sites looked quite nice. We stayed in Site #44 & it was level (unlike some of the reviews that said the sites were terribly undeveloped); we did find that the breaker on the power pole didn't work & we called right away & within a very short time, a really pleasant maintenance guy came, discovered he needed to replace the breaker, went right away & got it & we were able to setup not long after! We walked the entire property & found a lovely pool, a very cute putt-putt & lovely flowers & well cared for plants/trees everywhere. They have a really nice gift shop & game room & they sell Hunts Bros Pizzas that you can pick up. We had good water pressure & lovely views from our site, with no close by neighbors. We have been RV'ing for 13 years & have seen all types of RV parks--this one definitely does not deserve any of the bad reviews it has gotten, in my opinion!

We arrived Friday approximately 5 PM after a long down the road due to a few stops and heavy traffic, not to mention the terrain, after departing St. George, South Carolina. We were happy that they offered a military discount. Overall, this is a very beautiful park. Extremely well-kept! Yes, the spaces are a little tight if 100% filled however, I certainly didn't see anywhere, as mentioned by another reviewer, a sewer hook up 36 inches from a fire pit. They also offer a nice little café and sundry shop in their office. My wife and I had some of their breakfast pizza as well as a lunch pizza and chicken wings. All three were absolutely delicious! There is a small pool for children as well as a splash area. Additionally, there's a rather novel putt putt golf and gem mining area. In addition to RV spaces there are small apartments and large apartments. There are a number of long-term residents at the majority are short term rental. We liked it so much. We bookmarked it for a future stop if we're passing through the area. Keep up the great work!

No water or electricity at tent sites but being prepared we didn't need them. Staff was fantastic at checkin. We followed Lester(?) to the site which was on the top of the hill away from the RV sites. Although this is a trail head to the ATV trails we didn't hear any of them. Plenty of deer around the campgrounds. See the deer to the right of the trash can in the second pic. Beautiful nite sky. Some noise at night from the nearby power plant but just sounds like a big fan so it wasn't a bother. Couldn't be happier here and can't wait to return. Highly recommend.
