Burgers are made to order, 1/2 lb patties are slightly inconsistent as far as their shape goes "which I like" because it lets me know they're not just slangin frozen patties, the patties are hot and fresh "not just sitting around at room temperature. The manager is friendly and asks if your food is satisfactory, the fries are good, the tots are really good and the restaurant itself is pretty chill. They are fast, friendly, and absolutely delicious! Burgers are perfectly seasoned and cooked. And they're big portions! Sweet potato fries and onion rings are top notch! Wings were good and hot. I did not care for the Chili cheese dog. Too much bread and weenie too thin. Fries were nice and hot. My friend enjoyed the sweet potato fries. They are located in a small strip center closer to the Lyondell plant off Sheldon. You order in the back have a seat and they bring it when it's ready. The employees were friendly and helped make suggestions. Three people- everyone got burgers but different sides. Onion rings were thick slices and fried in more of a cornmeal battered. I think they would have been better is a more flaky batter. The chili cheese fries were lacking. I was just craving that "ballpark" vibe hoping this would deliver and it didn't. Idk how to make that better ‍ the regular fries, although seasoned needed more salt. Everything delivered was as ordered. Hot and fulfilling. The burgers were big and the meat patty was substantial. Yes, now for the 5 stars and why? Location, location. Buns upside down as usual. Spacious shopping area with enough parking. Drive-thru or Dine-in. And the outside patio, nice and Big! Big interior as well and better than the other locations I've tried. Buns on burger aren't soggy here. Noticed, they medium toast there buns to keep from being too wet in the clear container. Smartttttt. Sweet potato fries my usual, soooo good. Mushroom burger on point. And the Crispy Chicken Burger, Bussin'. They never use to have any fried Chicken Burger but now it's here and tastes so good. Guess people like me, had to mention it in the past. Burgers still Huge. No shakes this time for me. I'm so happy it's down the street from me and I don't have to make a far drive to get a nice tasting burger. *The staff that took our order were pretty nice and understood everything we wanted or didn't want on our burgers. *This location is always clean, and I love that they tend to decorate on theme for the coming holiday. *The food was fresh and hot, and came out to us fairly quick. I'd heard positive news about this place, and though I don't eat many burgers, I love a really exceptional cheeseburger. I gave Hippo Burger a try, and I was disappointed. The price for a "combo" came to almost $18 and for that I expected a wow experience. The patty was overcooked and I was left with a mediocre experience, especially as I couldn't get the price out of my head. The service was horrible. Did not listen to when the order was taken because the was on the phone. Sent the order back due to it not being what was ordered. The guy at check out was very argumentative when the order was sent back as incorrect. crispy chicken salad is a frozen breaded chicken patty. lettuce is iceberg not romaine as they said. chopped up so little that your fork can't pick it up. croutons are smaller than dice. tomatoes are half sliced not diced. forks are the smallest I have ever seen. cranberries were the best.
