Suko's is a solid burger spot located in the East End. It is in a fairly walkable neighborhood and it is always easy to order and get your food in a timely manner. The burgers have a classic taste, a little bit like Whataburger but with different individual ingredients. They also offer fried rice and wings but I haven't tried those yet. Suko's is a good place to eat on your lunch break or maybe for an early dinner. The interior is small but they do have quite a few tables available, I normally get my order to go. If you would rather support local than a big franchise you should definitely try them out. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, tater tots, and a drink and my order was about $13. read more

Not bad, not bad at all. I went to sukos with the intention to try a burger, I've heard good things, but I had a last minute change of heart and ordered the two fish and six shrimp meal. Fish was good (a little salty), the shrimp was delicious! Fries were okay. Price was okay. Place needs a little sprucing up, but it'll do. I will be back for a burger. read more

I ordered to go. I ordered the cheese sticks, double meat burger with bacon and fries. The bun of the burger was slightly stale & the fries were as well. I usually would have informed the cook. However, I was coming during closing and I just looked at my order to make sure everything was right, so I was already at my destination when I started tasting the food. However the burger meat & cheese sticks were decent, nothing that produced a wow factor, just pretty standard in terms of being bland. Gave this burger joint a shot and stopped by this place for its high reviews. The Place was small with outdated furniture. Ordered the old fashion 1/2 pound burger basket. Staff was nice and friendly. The buns was soft and fresh. The burger Patty itself is mediocre and tasted like an oversized high school cafeteria burger. Overall I give it a 6 out of 10. Worth trying but probably won't be back. read more

Hole in the wall that gets good reviews so I had to try it. I was slightly disappointed. The burger is not that great in my opinion. The fries are not that great in my opinion. It really is a hole in the wall and you could miss it as the doors are covered with newspaper. Was in the mood for some cheap greasy food and this hit the spot. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was my favorite and I also like the chili cheese hot dog. The food is not anything special but super enjoyable. They've got burgers and other snack foods too. The owner was very nice. It's just a small little restaurant. Suko's is a no-frills burger joint in the Second Ward / East End, and while I don't eat burgers or hot dogs anymore, their fried rice is what I'm there for. This hole in the wall hamburger place is pretty good. The hamburgers are fresh and savory and the meat patty was average sized. The fresh fries are on the bland side and could use some seasoning. As soon as I placed my order, they started cooking and preparing my order. However, the employee did not provide us with napkins on our to go order. I missed the previous owners, but this place is doing just fine. They also can do more improvements on the building and cleanliness. read more

Unpretentious local hole in the wall serving one of the best burgers I've had in Houston. Easy to drive by, the signage barely noticeable and I may have missed it but for GPS. Prices are fantastic, I am honestly shocked they were not busier. Took my two youngest and both loved their food. No frills, and old school place to eat a classia burger or chinese fried rice. The burger joint has bees a staple for the neighborhood as long as I can remember. Traditional and classic as burgers can get. I always chose this place over chain placea to support our local neighborhood. read more

Today was my 2nd time ordering from here. The 1st time I got a cheeseburger basket....so good! Today I got the fish burger basket but with onion rings....so good! I love that they put the lettuce & tomato on the side, I hate a soggy bun. This is one of those places you'd pass by 1k times and never stop but omg I'm glad I know now. I ordered some lunch to go because the burgers looked really good from the reviews but sadly the burgers I ordered were not what I saw in older pictures. They tasted like the burgers I used to get in grade school. The buns were very soggy by the time I got home like I had to throw the bottom one away. The wings were ok but not good enough to make me go back. The customer service was nice but the food was a 1/10 read more

Delicious!! We had the old fashion burger. The bun was buttery and soft but firm enough to structurally support all that perfectly cooked beef patty and fixings. The beef is well seasoned and cooked through to a yummy crispy grilled taste but still juicy. One of the top 3 burgers I've ever had. read more

If you want your basic old fashioned hamburger and fries for a basic price, come here if you're in Eado. $7 will get you a 1/3 lbs cheeseburger, fries, and soda can drink. It's not in the nicest part of town so I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. I was searching on Yelp for places nearby and came across this. It's owned by an elderly Korean couple and it looks like they've owned the store for years. Help support your local small businesses if you're ever in the area! read more

Went to this location after great reviews I saw on social media. I ordered a double cheeseburger basket. The burger was good but surely not the best burger in Houston. Some of the fries were not edible. When I arrived and walked in it smelled like old grease. I believe they have new owners, I'm not 100% sure. Champ burger is near and has better burgers in my opinion. read more

The place is an amazing deal and a true East side gem. Grilled to order fresh beef burgers and fries for $6.00. Patties are juicy and delicious with that taste you only get from fresh beef. Straight forward good food served by mom and pop in the kitchen. Owners are very nice and don't cut any corners. read more

It's the same dishes you've had at a dozen other Mexican restaurants around the city. Nothing on the plate made anyone at our table lean over and say "Okay, you have to try this." For what they're charging, you'd hope for at least one moment like that. Didn't happen. The one thing that genuinely bothered us was that we told them ahead of time that someone in our group had a spice allergy. Not a preference, an allergy. We were pretty explicit about it. It didn't seem to matter much. That's the kind of thing a restaurant really needs to get right, and they dropped the ball. Service was actually okay, though, to be fair. No real issues there, the staff were friendly and attentive enough. So there's that. But honestly? Houston has too many good options to settle for an overpriced average. If you're craving Mexican food, there are places in this city that will blow your mind for the same money or less. This just isn't one of them. We might swing by again someday if we're nearby, but we're not going out of our way.

Good "pop up" at Tikila's on N Shepherd. We were looking for some late night crawfish and saw this…read moreplace was open. We honestly didn't realize it was in the parking lot of the bar until we arrived. Ordering was quick as was the food. Great taste and good value. From speaking with the team, I believe they are going to become a permanent fixture at Tikila's. Overall, a good discovery.
