    Cheese Sticks

I ordered to go. I ordered the cheese sticks, double meat burger with bacon and fries. The bun of the burger was slightly stale & the fries were as well. I usually would have informed the cook. However, I was coming during closing and I just looked at my order to make sure everything was right, so I was already at my destination when I started tasting the food. However the burger meat & cheese sticks were decent, nothing that produced a wow factor, just pretty standard in terms of being bland. I was slightly disappointed & oh I forgot they did not include my sprite. I will probably give them another try though.

Gave this burger joint a shot and stopped by this place for its high reviews. The Place was small with outdated furniture. Ordered the old fashion 1/2 pound burger basket. Staff was nice and friendly. The buns was soft and fresh. The burger Patty itself is mediocre and tasted like an oversized high school cafeteria burger. Overall I give it a 6 out of 10. Worth trying but probably won't be back.

Hole in the wall that gets good reviews so I had to try it. I was slightly disappointed. The burger is not that great in my opinion. The fries are not that great in my opinion. It really is a hole in the wall and you could miss it as the doors are covered with newspaper. A bunch of people visit it so maybe I'm missing something but I honestly did not understand the appeal.

Was in the mood for some cheap greasy food and this hit the spot. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was my favorite and I also like the chili cheese hot dog. The food is not anything special but super enjoyable. They've got burgers and other snack foods too. The owner was very nice. It's just a small little restaurant. Wish I knew about it sooner.

    Burger and Onion Rings

The burger was solid. The 2.5 onion rings were tasty but 2.5 onion rings. They have to do better. Also worth noting, the cashier taking the order was very slow. Don't stop here if you're in a hurry.

Had to come try a cheeseburger at sukos and they did not disappoint at all . What a juicy and flavorful burger. The fries were delicious too. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. Can't wait to go again.

Suko's is a no-frills burger joint in the Second Ward / East End, and while I don't eat burgers or hot dogs anymore, their fried rice is what I'm there for. Aside from burgers, hot dogs, and fried rice, you'll find fried fish and shrimp baskets, chicken tenders, egg rolls, corn dogs, chili dogs, tater tots, onion rings --- imagine, all of your fried favorites, but from a local biz and not a fast food chain.

This hole in the wall hamburger place is pretty good. The hamburgers are fresh and savory and the meat patty was average sized. The fresh fries are on the bland side and could use some seasoning. As soon as I placed my order, they started cooking and preparing my order. However, the employee did not provide us with napkins on our to go order. I missed the previous owners, but this place is doing just fine. They also can do more improvements on the building and cleanliness.

Unpretentious local hole in the wall serving one of the best burgers I've had in Houston. Easy to drive by, the signage barely noticeable and I may have missed it but for GPS. Prices are fantastic, I am honestly shocked they were not busier. Took my two youngest and both loved their food. The decor and ambience are minimal but you're not here for that, you are here for the food.

    Saturday its also burger day!

No frills, and old school place to eat a classia burger or chinese fried rice. The burger joint has bees a staple for the neighborhood as long as I can remember. Traditional and classic as burgers can get. I always chose this place over chain placea to support our local neighborhood.

Had to bring the hubby to this spot. Don't let the outside fool you now! The burgers are so juicy

The vibe is great, the decor is awesome, the food delivers consistently, and service rarely takes a day off -- it's just a solid place to go when you're up for some great southern comfort classics. Cocktails, delicious. The daily food specials make it refreshing. The oysters never disappoint. We've rarely had to wait long on any ordered items and servers are all top notch. My only minor complaint is some of the larger groups visiting can sometimes forget there are others in the restaurant. We don't need to hear your entire conversation about the latest office gossip.

*this review is only for crawfish, not their regular menu (which is amazing) *…read more We went here during crawfish season because they've been advertising their $8/lb crawfish, and we trusted that it would be great given the quality of their regular menu. We went on a Saturday for lunch. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but if you're looking for good Cajun boiled crawfish, this is not it. We started off with 6 lbs (group of 4) of their regular crawfish. First off, they put the Cajun seasoning on outside/shell (!!), which is a cardinal sin for Cajuns. They also minimally seasoned the boil, so the meat was lacking salt and flavor. We ordered 3 more lbs with the "wet sauce" (garlic butter), thinking the lack of flavor may be attributed to this being the first-ish batch of the day. Nope, the second batch was even less seasoned than the first. The sauce was good, but it didn't make up for the unseasoned meat. The crawfish were a good size, at least... Come on guys, I expect more from a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant!

When I got home, however, discovered that it was over egg noodles this time. No worries though. We come for the cream sauce and the large potion sizes, not the carb that's included, right?! Also, they offer a new tea made in house with Pineapple and Peach. To die for. It is sweet but not aggressively so. The inside has about 3 booths and counter seating now. The location is on the end cap of a strip where Level One Fitness is, across the street from Young Women's College Preparatory Academy. The service is always stellar and personable. The owner is a couple. The wife usually takes the orders but on this day, there was a vendor assisting with the new cashless payment and menu system. There isn't a lot of parking so you'll have to park around the corner, on the street, in front of the church across the street. Something simple that should be an easy win. Unfortunately, everything leaned the same direction: either it was heavy, over-sauced, or overly garlicky. It tasted more like dressed-up frozen food than something thoughtfully prepared. And listen...I don't mind indulgent. But there still has to be balance and fresh food. Fresh like it was raw and delivered today, not fresh like fried in the last 15 mins. When everything is coated, covered, and competing, nothing actually stands out. The drinks didn't help either. They leaned hard on alcohol without much flavor behind them--more "this will get you there" than "this tastes good." Nothing was terrible. But nothing made me want another bite, either. And with seafood, that's kind of the whole point. The atmosphere is friendly, great music, and the service was very attentive. Even the presentation wasn't bad. It just wasn't enough. But at some point, you stop asking what's missing and just accept that it's not landing. I was still hungry so I went next door hoping for a better experience. I want to be clear: It's not bad. It's just not working.

It's the same dishes you've had at a dozen other Mexican restaurants around the city. Nothing on the plate made anyone at our table lean over and say "Okay, you have to try this." For what they're charging, you'd hope for at least one moment like that. Didn't happen. The one thing that genuinely bothered us was that we told them ahead of time that someone in our group had a spice allergy. Not a preference, an allergy. We were pretty explicit about it. It didn't seem to matter much. That's the kind of thing a restaurant really needs to get right, and they dropped the ball. Service was actually okay, though, to be fair. No real issues there, the staff were friendly and attentive enough. So there's that. But honestly? Houston has too many good options to settle for an overpriced average. If you're craving Mexican food, there are places in this city that will blow your mind for the same money or less. This just isn't one of them. We might swing by again someday if we're nearby, but we're not going out of our way.
