Very disappointed. I just ordered four regular-size combo bowls to go, and when I got home they were 70% rice with small amounts of chopped beef and only a few pieces of chicken. What is this? I paid over $65 for mostly rice. I usually come in once every month or so and order four to five bowls. I'm sorry, but this really upset me because I've been coming here since the original owner was still cooking. This is a far fall from what it used to be. I won't be coming back. Wilted. Right after I finished paying at the counter the food was ready. The broccoli and cauliflower were wilted from sitting around in steam pots. Nothing was made, nor 'grilled', to order. We had to ask for the table to be wiped down from previous customers. This was just not worth $14.95 for one chicken teriyaki bowl. Also, even though we asked for eat-in, the food was served in take-out plastic along with plastic forks. Makes life easy for the business, but no thought to sustainability. I used to go hear years ago when it was Teriyaki Bowl and Teriyaki Planet. I was a little skeptical because of some recent negative reviews, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. I absolutely loved it. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken with extra meat and extra sauce. It was such a good portion, I was able to save 1/2 for another meal. The egg roll and gyoza were meh, I probably won't order those again, but I'm not going to hurt the rating because of side dishes. Overall the food was delish and service was great. This place is fantastic!!!! Great teriyaki combo (chicken and beef) with veggies and white rice. The egg rolls are delicious. I really enjoy the pork ones. They have just made a shortcake eggroll just recently and that's pretty good too. I have tried just about everything on the menu at i haven't had anything not good yet! It's a small place. They have takeout and eat in seats about 30ish. They charge for extra sauces. Drinks are a good size. Love eating here and can't wait for the next visit. read more

I use to absolutely love it here and now... i cant rave about it anymore. Tonight my husband and i went it for our usual and we waited for 48 minutes while people came ordered and left. They explained that the cheesecake eggroll they made was strawberry and not chocolate like we ordered and to give them another few minutes. This place is SO disappointing. The food is delicious but I recommend going to any location except this one. They get my very simple order wrong and give it to me late every time I come here (which has been five times now). Oh the Teriyaki Bowl, oh how I miss you. As the other reviewer very much pointed out, it IS addictive. If you're going here you have to get a teriyaki bowl, none of this other stuff they try to sell. For $5 you start off with a square Styrofoam dish half filled with rice, and the other with steam veggies. Next you pick a meat, Chicken, Beef or a Combo of both. The owner then pulls numerous strips or breasts from the grill and chops it and smothers the rice/veggies. I mean smothers, SO much deliciousness. Then comes their drug ingredient, homemade Teriyaki sauce. He puts a bit on and then you sit down at your table or leave. Before that option I then douse the meal in more teriyaki sauce. OK, the name is now Teriyaki Planet. Overall the food was just so so. The chicken was grilled fresh and was very tasty. The veggies seemed to be a mix of fresh and frozen. The rice was just plain ole white rice. And the beef was skirt steak at best. Maybe even rehydrated jerky. The building was old and dirty and I want comfortable leaving my vehicle parked out of sight. Not a very desirable spot. read more

I have been around long enough to have gone to the original Teriyaki Bowl on 8th Ave and it was the best. I know it expanded to add a second store at this location under a different name and changed hands a couple times before becoming Hiroshi Teriyaki now. I'm not sure who the owner is now and if they actually work in the restaurant or maybe they never come in to check up on it. I can see many 1 star reviews here and I am right there with them. This place was so good a couple years ago. Now it's like they don't even want you coming in to bother them. The chicken is way over cooked. I think they throw it on the grill to make marks then throw it in the steamer to finish it off and then some. It's just gross now. If you ask for more sauces it's like you asked for their first born. What I don't understand is how the Johnstown location is awesome and this location sucks so bad. We can drive to either in 15 minutes and I will never return to the west Greeley location ever again! read more

If the DEA ever raids Teriyaki Bowl, don't say I didn't warn you. This place is so addictive, they have to put drugs in the food. When I lived in Greeley, the number of potential food options on this section of 8th Avenue, was limited. Given that this strip of restaurants was the only place I could walk to get food combined with the amount of time I was completely out of my mind and not able to drive meant that I should have an ownership steak in Teriyaki Bowl. Good amount of food for the money, and pretty good quality as well. They have chicken and beef teriyaki meals that come with rice and veggies, as well as various appetizers/sides. The regular size is usually enough for me unless I'm really hungry. Meals start around $8 without a drink. read more

The name has changed to Teriyaki Planet, but it is the same food from 20 yrs ago. Love, love, love this place! The Teriyaki Chicken is my favorite. They give you lots of rice, ample teriyaki chicken and plenty of perfectly cooked carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. Wow! So I wasn't sure If I wanted to come here but I said why not. Clean tables, modern furniture. The service was great and they ordered us right away + Pepsi products. This is one of those little hole in the wall places that I love to frequent. The main courses are beef or chicken over a bed of rice and some steamed vegetables but there are other items on the menu as well. I love the teriyaki sauce and you can have as much as you want. There are always people coming in and out, mostly for take out orders since there are only a few two-person tables in the restaurant itself. But the food is to die for and if you live in or near Greeley I guarantee you will go back. read more
