Overpriced, unexciting, unoriginal and completely formulaic. Very simple menu, which would be great if the food itself was unique or exciting. Its just meats fried up in store-bought teryaki, thrown with plain steamed veggies over rice. It should either be dirt cheap and be a convenience option, or so darned good because it's such a short menu and it's someone's artistry/passion food. Teriyaki Planet - West Greeley is every bit as good as the original restaurant on 8th Ave but with a newer cleaner look. You can't go wrong with the classic Chicken Teriyaki - Tender and moist cuts of meat in their delicious house Teriyaki Sauce. However, my favorite is the Yakitori Chicken. Deep fried Chicken Skewers covered in a spicy teriyaki sauce. It's everything that is great about their original Teriyaki Chicken just kicked up a notch. I'm drooling just thinking about it :-D It's my go-to every time I visit and I suggest you try it too. In my opinion it's as good as Teriyaki gets! read more

I ordered the beef teriyaki large. What got was the same size as the regular. The beef was old, cold and rubbery the teriyaki sauce was watered down and had no taste. Watching the staff cut and chop beef and chicken on the same board without wiping down any part of it was disturbing. Their warming canisters are loaded to the top so the old stays at the bottom and not rotated. I watched them pile food from the flat top on top of older food. Very little customer service. No smiles, no eye contact or even a hello. Tables were wiped down but the floor remained dirty. If I'm hungry I would not return here not worth the money ($11.99) for cold rubbery beef that looked like old leather. I even sat around with out eating the food and no one asked any questions. This is my go to place for a quick, filling meal that tastes great and fairly priced. Love the chicken terriyaki - I've always had good service and also purchase the sauce to go. Great food for those nights when no time to cook. We will usually order an extra bowl for the next day's lunch as well. My grand babies, kids, boyfriend and friends love the food as well! read more

I had the beef teriyaki. It was bland and didn't taste right or very good at all. The meat was some sort of old looking cubed beef with no seasoning other than their teriyaki sauce. The vegetables did seem fresh as did the rice. Can't speak to any of the other dishes there. Maybe they are better. At this point I don't have a desire to go back. read more

A few months ago, I began ordering from T.P. I enjoyed the food and was always glad there was enough for two meals. I had always found the food very tasty. Something has gone askew with the cooking and order completion. The teriyaki chicken is often over cooked and burned on the edges and in the same batch, undercooked chicken. My veggie egg roll was way too brown and laden with oil from the cooking. It looked like someone had pressed down on the roll, flattening it. The veggies were soft, and saturated with water, as though they have been held way too long in the pot. They were tasteless. Very unappetizing, to say the least. I always order sweet and sour sauce and sometimes I get it and sometimes I don't. Same with ordering extra teriyaki sauce. You folks need to take a deep breath and take a good, hard, honest look at your product. Started to go to Dickeys BBQ next door and then decided to be healthy. Should have gone to Dickeys. Beef was just OK. Sauce was nothing special. But I asked for just veggies, no rice, and was dismayed to get standard frozen veggies (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower) like you can get in quantity at any grocery or warehouse store. Ick. No flavor, sad, boring frozen veggies. I doubt that I got extra to replace the rice that I didn't want. Should have had the rice instead. Don't bother. read more

I am downgrading this restaurant from 5 stars to 1 star because they changed their menu, shrunk the portions in half, and raised the prices! My family will not return to this restaurant. They previously served their food in good size styrofoam containers, and despite it being a tad pricey, the food was presented well, with lots of rice, vegetables on the side, and a good portion of teriyaki chicken. We are from Seattle where they have the best Teriyaki ever, and were glad to have found a place that was close to the greatness of Seattle's Teriyaki. But, all that changed yesterday when we visited and discovered the owners changed the concept and prices. They no longer serve the large portion, and instead charge the same price for the medium portion. They replaced the square syrofoam containers with much smaller round black bowls, which greatly shrinks the portion size. "Teriyaki Planet" has lost its way, sad to say, and now is just another cheap "Teriyaki Bowl" fast food joint. It is way too pricey for such small portions. I recommend finding another place for Teriyaki. read more
