It took more than a few minutes to be greeted/served. The waitress didn't ask if we wanted any additional drinks. We were happy to wait for the ramen and the sushi, but my salad (which was removed from the bill after i asked) never came, and it was a 15 minute wait for a bowl of miso soup. By the time we ended up getting the soup, then another 20 minutes for the entrees, most of the restaurant had cleared out, and we were one of two tables left. The waitress never filled or asked to refill our waters, had to be flagged down to get the check, and took a long time to actually run our card. Didn't sit well with me. I understand there were only three on the floor, but if that is their standard lunch rush, they need to hire additional help. The food was fine. No one got food poisoning, but my party and I agreed we'd all had the same dish done better elsewhere. Had a huge problem with the sake descriptions as well. The one we got was described as "fruity and full bodied". Takes one sip and a google search to figure the main flavor is umami. The service was decent; I would like to offer a few bits of constructive advice: My bottle of beer arrived without a glass. Had to ask for one. Offer customers a glass when the bottled beer is delivered. A visit to the table to check on customers is also an opportunity to take away empty bottles, straw wrappers, etc. More than two visits to the table in 10 minutes to ask how things are going can make some customers feel a little 'rushed'. You have a dessert menu. I was not asked whether I was interested in dessert, either there or to go. That was a missed opportunity. The tip jar for the sushi chefs could be placed in a more prominent area. They deserve to be tipped. I will be back, and hope to become a 'regular'.

The sushi is great, and the pineapple curry is actually better than what can be found at most of the Thai restaurants in town (and that's saying a lot!). I don't understand how their ratings got so low. It actually makes me suspicious of the rating system and it's susceptibility to being used as a means of personal retaliation.
