I checked Yelp and this place was open for ~20 more minutes. I quickly went to Marx. Once I arrived, I was greeted by a staff member who helped me find all the supplies I needed. I also told him about the event I was doing. Because of the rain, he also suggested some water proofing spray for my shoes. While the water did eventually work its way into my shoes -- my feet were able to stay dryer for longer than the rest of my group. A few folks in my group got blisters from the wet feet -- mine made it through fine. So happy this place was able to help!

Asher only had one other customer he was finishing up with. When he finished up he took the time to make sure he analyzed her stride and mechanics with a camera focused on the belt of the treadmill. He broke down the analysis for us and did it for each shoe. On top of that, we didn't ask for discounts, when you go to a store like this I just believe you're going to pay more. No, Asher asked if she was a local student, because local students get a discount. He also insisted last year's model would be cheaper and just as beneficial. I was VERY impressed with the store and customer service. Of course they have all the brands I've leaned towards (Brooks and Hoka) and a few others. It's a small store but they seem to have a lot of shoes inventoried in the back. Definitely will go back there. I've bought most of my shoes based on price and haven't been fitted in years. Brine's has been owned by the same family for over 150 years, which is pretty incredible in this day and age. (I had called around to other shops and had no luck finding what I wanted. ) Went over and manager (Dylan) was super helpful, offered some other options as well but ultimately settled on the boot I was interested in. He even price checked and found they have marked the price wrong which worked in my favor. Dylan suggested I bring my skis in and they would adjust the bindings. I brought the skis in the next day and he personally adjusted and serviced my skis (without any prior appointment). Prices are fair, great customer service, nice local business with decent selection of equipment and clothing...and they sell spas too...check them out! Wow, this place has everything under the sun!…read more Went on a Saturday and the place was packed. They had a friendly gentleman greet you as you walk in. My brother was in need of some pants and shirts for a weekend getaway. They had a great selection of Carhart clothes and of all sizes. Hard to find a large selection of sizes but they had it all. They have multiple dressing rooms as well. I was in awe of all the items they sell here. If you're an outdoor enthusiast, this is your place! A nice place to bring the kids as well, lots of animals all over the place. Felt like I was at the San Diego Zoo. They also do licenses here as well, this is truly a one stop shop. From fishing gear, dehydrated food, sunglasses, UTVs, they have it all.
