My session went a bit longer than the allotted hour, as Mike tried multiple alternative combinations of shafts and heads to hone in on the best set for my particular situation - even when he had already engineered a good result. We examined both distance, height of shot and dispersion on less than ideal swings. Fitting off a mat into a simulator is always a challenge and never really accurate in measuring real distance, so we added sample hits with my current clubs to at least show a comparison of results. I felt comfortable enough with the results to purchase the clubs. And Mike also reassured me that PXG would follow through with adjustments and tweaks if the performance suggested a need. I only recently really got into golf and my wife wanted to try out PXG clubs, so we booked a "swing session." My parents have always been Callaway/TaylorMade golfers, so I was a bit skeptical about this brand I have never heard of before. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted and made feel very welcome. They checked in with us while we waited (we got there a bit earlier than scheduled time) multiple times and answered any questions we had. My wife worked with Brendan, but I was put with Brian. Let me say that during the swing session, I was more satisfied with how Brian was as a fitter than how PXG clubs felt. Granted, I am rather new, so I have not swung many clubs, but PXG clubs themselves felt better than my almost 10 yr old hand me down TaylorMade RSi2s, but Brian's insights into club fitting and how to improve my swing left me feeling amazed. And there was zero pressure at all for us to purchase. So both my wife and I booked a full fitting session, with our respective fitters. And when we returned for my full bag fitting session, there was nothing that changed and that is to say it was absolutely phenomenal. Brian dialed in to what configuration would be best for me, even with my inconsistent and novice skill. And again, there was zero pressure to purchase. And he stayed quite late (I didn't know time could fly by so fast), way past the initial scheduled time to help me figure out what would work for me. did end up purchasing iron set and some woods/hybrids, and I am ecstatic to try them out. Being completely honest, as I mentioned before, I didn't feel (probably because I am not at a skill level where I am consistent enough to notice it quite yet) a HUGE difference in the PXG clubs vs the ones I was using. But what helped me make the decision to purchase is that Brian showed immense experience and confidence in fitting, and in turn, made me confident that knowing my skills, he has fitted me with clubs that would work for me and with me for some time while I improve my game.

We first stopped at our nearest big box home builder's store and although they have plenty of refrigerators they don't keep any in stock, the earliest delivery was about 5 days out. We couldn't manage without a refrigerator for that long so we left and went to check other places. We had never been to Whitco, but I thought we should check them out as I had heard it was a good place to get appliances. Whitco didn't disappoint, they had lots and lots of refrigerators from lots of different manufacturers. The best part was most were in stock!! Yay!! We selected our new refrigerator ( and they were a much better price than the big box store). I will definitely drive out to Whitco the next time I need an appliance!

The staff was incredibly friendly and incredibly knowledgable, and it was great that when I told them I was training for a 50 mile trail race, not only did they not look at me like I was crazy, they had great, helpful advice. I try to shop at local shops as much as possible, but all too frequently they just don't have what's needed for my silly athletic endeavors, or the level of service just isn't what you want it to be. We were inside the store for no more than 4-5 minutes (I only purchased one item - in and out fast). We weren't greeted with a hello when we entered the store - actually she gave us a dirty look immediately (and we were the only ones there). I regret not saying something to her but her loss in the end. They used to have another young worker (I think their daughter), she had more respect/class than her mom. For the local families out there, I would avoid this place or shop alone. Also, don't expect the friendly hello or even a smile (that's asking way too much - unless of course the owners read this and change their attitudes immediately). I will take my business to stores that actually respect customers with families.

So I put the items I wanted to buy on the websites cart and sent pics and the link to them so they could match and proceed with my $1500 purchase, but got an email just saying "cant match price". Was very bummed as they were STRONGLY advertising the price match guarantee. I like the business, but I do want to warn other customers that the price match guarantee they offer is a lie. So I am ordering the stuff I wanted from the site at a cheaper price, free shipping and no tax. I have no problem with them not matching prices, JUST DON'T ADVERTISE that! But service is good there.
