Their printed lease grid shows $781-811/mo at 39 months / 10,000 miles with $3,000 drive-off. * Aug 7 (texts attached): I confirmed in plain words -- "$3,000 down, then $781 for the next 38 months. No fees, no taxes, nothing else. I walk in, pay $3,000, and take the car away. This is all inclusive." The salesperson replied: "That's right... that is the number," conditioned only on strong credit approval. My credit is strong; credit was never raised as an issue. * Same day, at the dealership's request, I sent driver's license, registration, insurance card, and signed documents, after being told: "just send me your license, registration, and insurance card and I will take the vehicle out of the market for you." This has been going on since day 1. GM felt bad and offered me an owners loyalty cert. but I'm so far in cc debt from having to charge rentals every other month that I'm stuck in it, something happened to this vehicle there are weird paint splatters like it was in an accident and it was hidden. Bizarre, I live a four hour drive away from the place and requested an "out the door" quote on an auto. First, they said "sure," but then the salesperson emails me and says it really would be "better" if I saw the vehicle in person before looking at a quote. I replied, at that point, I was merely trying to decide whether i wanted to drive down there. THEN, they just plain REFUSED! Said they "didn't send out purchase agreements"??? I didn't WANT a "purchase agreement," I just wanted some idea of the final total cost! I've NEVER had something like that happen before when shopping for a car. On my own, given what data they offered, I decided 15,250 was a fair offer. They came back demanding 17,800!!!! For one hot second I thought I might be speaking to a salesperson who might not jerk me around. I explained that I was ready to buy a car and if given a bottom line price, this would be their easiest sale of the week. I get back a quote with two unwanted add-ons for "theft protection" and a "safety avoidance system". I ask them to remove those and send me an updated invoice. I just want to buy a car. I turn my head and the car I am wanting to buy (I have the vin number from the website add) suddenly becomes $3K more. And the sales person says, Nope, sorry, that one sold but we have this one-- which looks pretty good too only to find out that, no, it does not in fact have 8K miles (like the website shows), it has 18K. Geeze, ok, fine! I just want to buy a car. Just when I am ready to head there to pick up the car I am told (and sent photos) of a ton of hail damage on the hood and roof. I look up the cost for repairing that and ask for the $800 to be taken off. (They are a car dealership, why would they not do this themselves?) I am told that removing the theft protection and safety avoidance system fees is the best they can do. It's like going to a hairdresser and asking for a haircut and being told that a blow dry is $10 extra. I brought my F150 to Blasius for a oil change. Upon receiving my truck back I noticed the mechanic had damaged the truck. Both the Service Mgr and General Manager both denied the damage was done by the mechanic until I showed them a before and after video. Upon viewing the video the manager accepted that the damage was done by THEIR mechanic. Now I have to be inconvenienced with renting a car for 2 days and I have to again travel to Waterbury to drop off the vehicle. Again, this was damaged by them , but I'm the one being inconvenienced I live 2 miles from a different Blasius (Torrington) but must be inconvenienced by traveling to Waterbury and renting a car at a cost to me. DOESN'T SEEM FAIR........... Extremely,disappointed and will not be recommending this dealership based on the lack of care or cost I incurred due to THEIR NEGLIGENCE. read more

My family previously tried to buy an Escalade a few years ago at a dealership in Northern CA. Unfortunately, my wife was not given the time of day when she went in by herself for the final test drive. I ended up writing a 1 star review for them due to that bad experience. Fast forward to 2022. Our family moved to Cheshire and I engaged with Ted Hakey at Blasius and it was a positive experience from the start. He patiently and passionately explained all the wonderful features of the Escalade. Unfortunately, we decided to hold off another year due to not having a severe need for another car. Fast forward again to 2023. The need for another car is finally here. I immediately reengaged with Ted, and again it was a great experience, from the phone calls, texts, test drive in person, custom order process, delivery, pricing, pick up, even financing! I thought I had financing lined up with a pretty decent interest rate, but Ted introduced me to Eric Larson, one of the Finance Managers. Eric was able to beat the interest rate I had so it was a no brainer. I'm very happy with my new Onyx package Escalade ESV and super happy with my experience over the past year. Service dept is a joke. I recently brought my 2016 Cadillac ATS in to check on a CEL and do an oil change. They told me that I needed $1800 worth of front and rear brake work. Note that I did not ask them to look at my brakes, and 4 months earlier I had just myself replaced the rear brake pads and examined and found the front pads to be nowhere near needing replacement. The best part is that 3 weeks later I take my car in to Town Fair Tire to check on a TPMS light, only to discover that when Blasius "checked" my brakes, they swapped my wheels, so that my wider rear wheels were now on the front of the car. This is the final straw for me after years of issues including a broken side skirt on my brand new Z06 Corvette, greasy fingerprints on windows and interior, forgetting to reinstall the chrome engine caps (instead left it on my windshield cowl) after an oil change, as well as sand and rocks on my carpet. I researched online for a few days for a used car for my daughter. I found a Hyundai Elantra which is what she previously had. Perfect condition, low miles and in our price range. I sent an email to Blasius and received a response back almost immediately from Rich Noble. I then spoke to him and we scheduled an appointment for next day to see it. My daughter fell in love with it and deal was sealed. Went today to do payment and paperwork. Worked with Eric in finance and with the help of the manager, Carman Dragone got me to the payment I could afford. They called me back later in the day telling me to come pick it up. When i arrive, they hit me for $150 diognostic fee and tell me to bring the car to a Ford dealer,that i,d be better off.I asked for the paperwork showing what was found wrong with the car, and the service rep says there's really not much to see on it. While the dealer appears to sell well maintained cars, beware of used Grey market cars. i.e. Autos the dealer purchased at auction from Canada. Look into this, and make sure your manufacturer will honor a new car warranty. Blasius will not tell you this. I've tried to buy a car from this dealership since April of 2023. It's now October. Ive dealt with 5 salesmen and not one could close a deal with someone ready to buy. From internet, sales, sales manager, and GM...none were able to explain how I've gotten such bad service. Unanswered phone calls, multiple emails, and wasted time at the dealership. Had a deposit and delivery date once and was told someone put a down payment in an hour before me. I suspect the main reason was I had my own financing. When we got there, all of a sudden it was $24,500 for cash price and A LOT of pressure to finance and "just pay it off the first month." There was no motivation to negotiate so we immediately walked out. Since when do you go to a car dealership and pay the price they give you?? Dealt with Jerry DeJesus. Claims customers return and even bring their children back when they are old enough to drive. Have a hard time believing that! The manager, don't have his name, was an absolute entitled jerk. Again because it was winter and I was most likely putting the heat on. For the record I have only put about 200 or so miles on this car because as soon as I bought it I garaged it for the winter. I offered a screen shot to prove that mileage claim but they don't give a crap... So yesterday I take the car out for the first time and turn on the AC and it blows warm air. I called to complain and these sleezeballs don't wanna know nothing...."You should have told us about the AC within the first 60 days" I was told.....(obviously I am not trying out the AC between November and January).....But tough luck for me is basically what this sleezeball manager said to me. In so many words. Another thing "as is really mean as is" with these money hungry lovers. The car DID NOT come with a manual (who knows what they did with it) that cost me about $150 extra. And it only came with 1 key pod. That cost me about $375 extra from Lexus. Again I cannot stress enough to STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BLASIUS DEALERSHIP. Let's just say this is my first and last vehicle I'll purchase and maintain through Blasius's Service Department as a customer for almost 10 years now. I'll start with masks as we're in the middle of a pandemic. The team behind the counter in Service today (probably 8 of them) was almost entirely maskless. I didn't notice a single one put one on around customers when in front of them either. As we know, the mask is more for the OTHER person than for the person wearing it, so this message speaks volumes to me and how you "care" for customer health. The only exception here were the two females at checkout. Let's proceed to wait time. When I book a service appointment, why do I need to wait 1 hour and 43 minutes for you to do a multi-point inspection and oil change? This is actually typical in my experience over the years; it never changes! My wife has a Subaru and she is in and out in 20 minutes when she has an appointment, and that includes the CAR WASH! My appointment was 8:30 am on a THURSDAY. What's the excuse? Onto customer service. At Blasius, there are no smiles to be found (it's easy to see because, well, they don't wear masks). You can tell the moment you walk in the team is stressed and seemingly very unhappy. As a customer, I shouldn't be feeling those things. You all should at least fake that you like your jobs around customers. I just hate coming here. read more

So on 11/14/19 my bf went to get his camaro serviced (oil change) the people at blasius cracked the front lip of the car, took off a big chunk off the rim which also slashed the tire. At first the staff were very upfront about what happened because it was such an obvious and big damage they caused. They said the rim could be fixed, said the tire was "ok" and were going to be replacing the front lip of the car.... and so the nightmare begun. When my bf contacted the guy that was supposed to fix his rim he was asked for $150 to get it fixed (the rim guy was extremely rude as well).The front lip was replaced within a week but he just got his rim fixed elsewhere (RIDICULOUS considering the damage was done by Blasius and they should have paid for this), they STILL did not want to replace the damaged tire that go for about $400 a pop. To add to all this madness NOBODY was getting back to my bf he had to continue calling for days/weeks and always got the same "I'll call you back" turns out when they FINALLY decided to look at the tire they noticed that the car had all season tires in the front and SUMMER tires in the back (these tires were also done by Blasius) my bf asked to get all season tires in the back considering he cant even drive on a dusting of snow and he got the run around for days until he was told that having 2 types of tires is "safe" and they couldn't do anything for him except sell him new tires for $300/ea!After all this bullshit we've had to deal with he just wanted to get the money to his maintenance plan back because he wants NOTHING to do with Blasius however they wont do that either.... It breaks my heart to see how much he loves this car and the stress he's been under all because these people at Blasius have done such a HORRIBLE job at rectifying the situation THEY CAUSED!....They refuse to help him after the damage they cause to his car and the tire mishap so I feel i should share our experience with everyone out there because nobody deserves to experience the stress we have had to experience this holiday season and a place with people like that does not deserve your business. **BUYERS BEWARE, Advertised prices are fake** My son bought a car from this dealership today at what seemed to be a fair price. We only wanted to purchase the car without any additional products or services. We were told that to get the advertised price, we had to use their financing. Since we planned to pay off the car within the month, this was fine. The interest rate is high, but I understand this is how Blasius takes further profits from their customers by adding points to the loan. After we believed the sale price was final, the salesperson presented the monthly payment amount (six years with high interest). I then spoke with the finance person and found that an extended warranty had been added to the purchase agreement, which we had them remove. They also added $1,500 GAP insurance, despite knowing we were paying off the car in a month. They also added an $800 car theft recovery device. I had them remove this as well. They also added a $400 blinking device so that when we press the brake pedal, the center rear light flashes. They refused to remove that. In addition to these questionable business practices, they added another fee of almost $800 to process paperwork. Which is outrageous. The state says this fee is negotiable but this dealer would not. Altogether, they added approximately $5,000 to the purchase agreement. If I had not been there to protect my son, they would have taken full advantage of him. They are not a stand-up company. If they want to make things better refund my son the $400 for the useless brake light flashing device that we were forced to take. read more

I have injuries and can't stand long and I have been standing for over an hour . And now they take pictures of your vehicle before they bring it in , we all know it's not for the customers protection but for theirs . I have had my car for 4 years and now they take pictures. I don't think they should be able to put a picture of my license plate in their computer! To much personal information involved in license plates !
