J&M Automotive Get A+ from finicky buyer! A+ Shopping A+ Fair Priced, Finalized Deal A+ History and Maintenance Reports A+ Paperwork A+ Follow-up Next Level Operations from my option of interest, intro call of the sales rep (Lou Calabrese), communications document transfer, finance and out the door. This dealership has it all. Every 2-3 years I get a car that I want, Albert Arroyo in finance has his department process & procedures down to a T, he is fantastic. The sales floor was exceptionally clean, and everyone was welcoming. Preparing the car, transferring the title, and organizing paperwork was right on the money! I took ferry across the Long Island Sound, Uber and then 20 min to dealership. From the moment I got onsite, it literally took 40 min and out the door. Total turnaround time from Long Island-Conn and back home 5 hrs. Thank you, Lou Calabrese, Albert Arroyo and J&M Automotive Team!

Put me in the perfect behicle for me.

After my recent purchase I can't think of making another purchase anywhere else. Steve G made the process seamless, including Steve M, the finance guy. Ended up with a 2021 Suburu Crosstrek w low mileage. Love the car, & there was plenty of inventory to choose from.

I had an amazing time working with Steve G. He was honest with no hidden agenda. He worked with me for 2 months until I found something I loved. The car is in immaculate shape and drives phenomenally. He got me the money I wanted for my trade and treated me like family from the start. With 5 cars in my family now purchased from J&M there is a reason we keep coming back. They don't sell lemons, they don't rip people off. Truly an amazing company.

86,000 miles and the engine is about to seize. Gotta love it.

My experience with Pre-Owned Auto Wholesalers in Naugatuck was, without question, the worst…read morecar-buying experience I've ever had. I visited twice to test drive a vehicle. During my second visit, I noticed a large hole in the driver's seat. I simply asked if there was anything they could do about it, and the salesperson laughed and said, "Oh, we won't be negotiating." Even after that, I still decided to purchase the vehicle because I needed transportation. I paid for the car and drove off the lot. Within minutes, multiple warning lights came on, including the brake and ABS warning lights, and the brakes became extremely difficult to use. I immediately called the dealership because I had just purchased what appeared to be an unsafe vehicle. Instead of treating it as an urgent safety issue, I was told they were going to lunch and that I'd have to bring it back in an hour. When I returned, they told me to leave the vehicle with them, said they were still depositing my check, and assured me someone would call me back that day with a resolution. No one ever did. Because it was a holiday weekend and the dealership was closed, I wasn't able to speak with anyone again until three days later. When I finally got someone on the phone, instead of showing any concern, I was told this was somehow my fault and that "that's not how business works." The owner also told me the vehicle simply needed to be "reset," despite the fact that it had just been sold to me with serious brake-related warning lights and braking problems. What disappointed me the most wasn't just the vehicle--it was how I was treated after the sale. There was no urgency, no accountability, no communication, and no concern that they had just sold a customer a vehicle that appeared unsafe to drive. To make matters worse, I was left with the impression that once they had my money, the problem became mine. They continued with depositing my check while keeping the vehicle, failed to follow through on their promise to call me, and then tried to convince me that I was somehow responsible for what happened. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership. If you're looking for a dealer that stands behind the vehicles they sell and takes customer safety seriously, I would strongly encourage you to shop elsewhere.

So he locks up his business and just left. The owner who's spanish was a complete jerk and i will NEVER buy anything from these morons. Idiotoas!!!

**Buyers should be cautious**…read more I inquired about a 2006 hummer H2 with 114,000 miles. The going rate on these is between $10,000 and $20,000 depending on mileage condition options, etc. I spoke to Joe on the phone in the morning. Really smooth talking salesman very polite. I even said to myself this guy is fantastic for this kind of position. He said the car was beautiful two owner exceptionally well maintained nothing wrong with the thing. I said I'm five hours away. Let me look at my schedule. Let me see if I can come down today. I called them back a couple hours later I said hi Joe thinking about coming down. I have 1 million things to do today. Buying this car today is a logistical nightmare but I can deal with the nightmare on my end what I can't do is waste my time though. If I'm going to drive five hours round-trip to see this car I need to make sure there's no lights, no paint work, and the car is beautiful minus normal wear and tear. He said "I think that's a fair description. There is normal wear and tear and a couple bubbles in the paint." I said "bubbles in the paint?" And immediately the vibe flipped. The professional, respectful, smooth, talking salesman went out the door and in a sarcastic, passive aggressive, person took over. He said."if you want a new one you can go buy the new electric one that nobody wants for $150,000. I can send you some photos of the rust if you want." I said "yes please." he said "OK great I'll text you some pictures of the blemishes in the paint" but it was very clearly sarcastic. He followed up with about a half a dozen pictures of rust one area looked like it had been stuffed with some filler and previously painted with a tape line and no attempted blending. I understand it's 20 year-old Truck for $15,000. But I was willing to pay a little premium for something that was rust free and super nice condition and this one was in worse condition than some of the ones I've seen. The combination of the condition issues, plus the bipolar go home and kick the dog energy is a nonstarter for me.

I should have read the reviews. Bought a classic car with roof racks, end of April. It was shipped…read morepretty quickly. Was told it drives great. It's an old car, but a dependable one, if it's maintained. Thankfully, the body is good. When it arrived, no roof rack, which had been written in the contract. I had to drive it 2 blocks to my home, from the delivery vehicle. Could barely move the shifter to drive it. Had a clanking in the back right, and there was a grinding metal sound in the engine area. The headlights wouldn't turn on. So I drove in the dark. I asked AI, and it said do not drive it to the mechanic, but tow it. Well, just got the deposit for parts and it was $2000. I did ask them to do a head to toe, everything, and believe me, it needed it. I have received false hopes from them saying that the roof rack was being sent by mail. I called and spoke to someone who told me they would mail them. I sent a brief, polite email. Nobody responded. I called another day and that person told me "Joe and Chris are at an auction". I texted the owner, Joe, "Hi Joe, where are the roof racks?" Joe, replied to me by text stating, "check your mail". The audacity. Anyways, in the end, it is a beautiful looking car, and the mechanic promised they would make the insides beautiful as well again; like new. Unless it's a car you want because you really really want that vehicle, and have money to spare to fix it, I don't suggest using this dealership. The reviews speak for themselves. Just like the others, Joe can seem very authentic. I won't bother annoying them with messages or phone calls again, because after reading the reviews a bit too late, I know how he will respond. Avoid. Liars, thieves, and I pray that karma visits all of them for lying to so many people. Peace out.
